What are the plans for the new Chelsea
stadium?

Right now, Stamford Bridge has a capacity of 42,000. The
plans, which are still largely in their infancy, aim to add 18,000
to the overall capacity taking the total up to 60,000. That
would make the stadium the fourth biggest in the Premier
League. That’s the ‘what’ element covered. The ‘how’ and
‘where' is where the details become a little more interesting.
Stamford Bridge has a long history with multiple honours
having been lifted there but both a demolition and complete
rebuild are on the agenda.
That might sound like an extreme step to take but, actually, it’s
the most profitable way to build a modern day stadium with
existing buildings difficult to incorporate into newer
developments both in terms of the aesthetics and with the
requirements of meeting the building regulations that exist in
2023. Even so, a Stamford Bridge rebuild won’t come cheap
with a staggering figure of £1.5bn being stated.

That's 24 games in total, including 14 this season. When
the Englishman is selected from the start, Chelsea
never lose, and that's not a coincidence....

The Blues have 16 of the 24 matches that Hudson-
Odoi has started under Tuchel, and the fact he's yet
to lose when starting under the German is seriously
impressive....

Chelsea started negotiations with 16-
year-old Swedish winger....

Every so often a generational talent comes along that
leaves football watchers open-mouthed, and that’s
certainly the case with 16-year-old Roony Bardghji.
Though he represents Sweden, Roony was actually born in
Kuwait to Syrian parents and is currently plying his trade in
the Danish top-flight with Copenhagen.
It’s fair to say that he’s making quite the impression too.
A heady mix of skills together with the right temperament
to make it to the very top of the game have seen him,
perhaps unfairly at this stage, being handed the moniker
of the ‘Swedish Messi.’

Report: Chelsea Ready to Make Serious Approach' for Marcelo
Brozovic...

Chelsea are set to make a 'serious approach' for Inter
Milan's Marcelo Brozovic, according to reports.
The Blues are keen to add to their midfield depth and
are believed to be eyeing up a move for the Croatian
international.
He is currently in his eighth season at the Italian
giants.
According to FC Inter News , Chelsea are one of two
clubs said to be keen on acquiring his services, with
the other interested team being PSG.
However, the report also says that Brozovic wants to
stay at his current side as both parties work towards
a new deal for the primarily defensive midfielder.
His current contract is set to expire next summer,
with the Blues believed to be eyeing a move for him
should he not extend his stay in Milan....

Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Premier League clubs to
demand meeting amid Newcastle takeover......

A Premier League statement said: "The Premier League,
Newcastle United Football Club and St James Holdings
Limited have today settled the dispute over the takeover of
the club by the consortium of PIF, P*P Capital Partners and
RB Sports & Media.
"The legal disputes concerned which entities would own and/
or have the ability to control the club following the takeover.
"All parties have agreed the settlement is necessary to end
the long uncertainty for fans over the club's ownership.
"The Premier League has now received legally binding
assurances that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will not control
Newcastle United Football Club.
"All parties are pleased to have concluded this process which
gives certainty and clarity to Newcastle United Football Club
and their fans."....

“Newcastle United deserves to be top of the Premier League.
We want to get there. It will take time, but we will get there,”
Staveley told Sky Sports .
“We’re proud to be part of the Premier League. It’s an
incredibly competitive league, which we love. Premier League
football is the best in the world, and Newcastle United is the

However, is there to be a spanner in the work regarding this
already-completed move?
The Guardian have now reported all of the 19 other Premier
League clubs have requested an emergency meeting next
week with the authorities as they weren't aware of the
situation that seemed rather covert to the rest of the
footballing world.

Newcastle United, if their new Saudi Arabian
backers allow it , could spend as much as £190
million in January without falling foul of
Financial Fair Play rules thanks to the
parsimonious spending of former owner Mike
Ashley.
Telegraph Sport also understands that the club’s
wage bill was reduced by around £12m a year
over the summer which will also give the club
plenty of room for manoeuvre.
Although the newly-installed members of the
board have previously talked about growing the
club organically with an investment of around
£200m over the space of four transfer windows,
prudency tends to go out of the window when
you are winless after seven games, in the
relegation zone with a threadbare squad that has
not been overhauled since promotion in 2016 -
and have the richest owners in the world.

Angry Premier League clubs demand emergency meeting on Newcastle deal.....

Angry clubs have targeted the Premier League
with complaints about the Newcastle United
takeover and are pushing for an emergency
meeting next week.
The 19 other top-flight clubs are understood to
be united in opposition to a Saudi-led consortium
being allowed to buy out Mike Ashley and are
demanding to know what changed for it to be
waved through and why they received so little
notice.

Clubs have expressed concern that the Premier
League’s brand could be damaged by Saudi
Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) taking an
80% stake in Newcastle, although eyebrows will
be raised at this given the identity of other
owners in the division. The deal has been
fiercely criticised by human rights groups,
especially as PIF – the state’s sovereign wealth
fund – is overseen by Crown Prince Mohammed
bin Salman.
The arrival of a new set of billionaire owners is
bound to have upset clubs who see on the
horizon a far more competitive Newcastle and
the prospect of St James’ Park wealth inflating
transfer fees and wages.
The league’s chief executive, Richard Masters,
and chairman, Gary Hoffman, have received
complaints from clubs who had no idea the
Newcastle takeover was about to be approved. It
was first proposed in March 2020 but the
consortium withdrew its bid four months later
amid growing fears it would fail the Premier
League’s owners’ and directors’ test.
