TROOPS OF OPERATION HADARIN DAJI RESCUE 20 KIDNAP VICTIMS, NEUTRALIZE ONE TERRORIST LEADER IN ZAMFARA STATE

The troops of the Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI have again recorded another success against the terrorists in continuation with the dry season clearance operations in its Areas of Responsibility in Zamfara state.

In the recent success, the troops rescued 20 kidnap victims unhurt and neutralized 2 terrorists including a notorious terrorists’ leader identified as Sainaje from Katsina state in a separate operations conducted in Zamfara state.

On the 29th January, 2024 the OPHD troops during its continuous clearance operation at terrorists’ enclaves at Rukudawa, Dumburum, Tsanu, Birnin Tsaba, Magare and Shamushalle general areas of Zurmi and Birnin Magaji LGA of Zamfara state.

During the operation all the discovered terrorists’ enclaves including that of a notorious terrorist kingpin identified as Sule were destroyed, as the terrorists fled their camps during a heavy contact with the aggressive troops.

The troops neutralized 2 terrorists including a terrorist leader identified as Sainaje from Katsina state which led to the rescue of 18 kidnap victims comprising 4 males and 14 females as well as children.

Similarly, the troops of Operation HADARIN rescued 2 victims who were abducted by the terrorists while on transit along Shinkafi-Isa road in Zamfara state who were abandoned by their captors during a gun duel with the highly motivated troops whose timely response led to the rescue.

All the rescued victims were handed over to the appropriate authorities to reunite them with their respective families.

The Commander Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI/General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Godwin Mutkut has commended the efforts of the troops for their continued doggedness and resilience in an effort to restore normalcy in the Northwest.

REMEMBERING AN ICON ON HIS BIRTHDAY

THE UNTOLD STORY
(He Slumped And Never Got Up...)

Fatherless at age 5, mother still saved up to send him to Italy to study because of his exceptional brilliance.

By 23 he had both BSc and MSc in Law and at 25 he was going for his Doctorate in law...Something happened!

Outside his love for education, he loved football and decided to play professionally.

He started his career in Ukraine at age 21 before going on to play for 3 other clubs.

In 1988 he was called to play for the Nigerian National Team...

That's Where the Problem Started.

His Club were not in support of him traveling to play Nigeria and he had this to say...

"I am a lawyer you know and you signed me to play football for certain conditions but i don't think it included reselling my service to my country. You or your club cannot stop me from
playing for my country. Let me tell you, I am going to represent my country whether you like it or not."

He continued representing Nigeria against the wishes of his club.

He flew himself to and fro matches for Nigeria and refused match bonuses because he felt it was an honor His Club still didn't like it but he still persisted.

On the 12th of August 1989...
"Nigeria vs Angola" in Lagos...It happened!

On the 77th minute, "He Slumped And Never Got Up" and by the time he got to the hospital, he was dead!

Autopsy showed he had a heart defect.

Now The Problem Proper...

In Europe he had life insurance of over "4 BILLION DOLLARS" but there was a stipulation. He has to die in Europe to get the insurance.

His family lost that money because he died playing for Nigeria in Lagos and what did Nigeria do for his family.

• 10,000 NAIRA Health Insurance.

• Abandoned National Stadium was named after him.

• The then Imo State Governor named a stadium after him. The stadium is an eye sore.

• The National Assembly in 2017 promised to take care of his family but till date....Nothing!

He has an 81year old mother that saved everything she had to train him but lost him to Nigeria.

The National Anthem says..."The Labour Of Our Heroes Past Shall NEVER Be In Vain..."

It looks like his would be in vain as the promises the president made 58years ago has not been met.

His Name Is SAMUEL SOCHUKWUMA OKWARAJI

He was born 19th May 1964 and he died of "Cardiac Arrest" (Expect A Thread On That..) playing for Nigeria.

He is a HERO
He was a NATIONAL AMBASSADOR

And I just hope and pray our leaders do the RIGHT thing.

Woman Who Was K|lled Alongside Her Mother Who Came For 'Ọmụgwọ' By Kidnappers In Abuja Had Just Given Birth To Her First Child After 10 Years Of Waiting

A nursing mother, Christiana Igba and her mum, Maria Agbo, were k!lled by bandits in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja,

It was reported that Christiana's mother came to Abuja from Benue State to celebrate the birth of her grandchild when the tragic incident happened.

It was gathered that Christiana, the wife of a police officer, Simon Igba, had just given birth to her first child after ten years of waiting.

According to reports, the kidnappers abducted Christiana, her mother and her one-month-old baby from their residence near the Mopol Barracks, in the Dei-Dei area of FCT about two weeks ago.

The kidnappers demanded N90m ransom from the family as a condition to release the victims.

It was learnt that the kidnappers contacted Christiana's husband and after negotiation, they settled for N10 million.

The kidnappers asked Simon to get the money ready before 10 am on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

However, before the agreed time, the kidnappers called Simon to inform him that his baby was sick and had been handed over to another victim who was released that day.

The kidnappers gave the released victim Simon's phone number and told her to call him when she gets to the hospital with the baby.

The hospital called Igba and he went there and recovered his baby.

A few hours later, the family received a report that Christiana and her mother had been k|lled.

Some police officers recovered the c0rpses and deposited them at the Kubwa General Hospital.

Mayhem Unleashed: Kogi Hospital Workers Assaulted Following Patient's Death

A medical doctor at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja, has revealed how a group of men stormed the hospital on Tuesday over the death of a patient and attacked workers.

Sharing videos on his X handle, k_f2d, the doctor explained that the men who were led by an unnamed political leader demanded to see the doctors on duty on arrival at the hospital..

In one of the videos, about three people were seen struggling with a gun as shots were also heard.

In his caption, the doctor wrote, "My team was called to the A&E to review a new patient. A group of men in kaftan broke through the gate and started demanding for the doctors on duty.

"Apparently, they lost a patient. And they came for the doctors. One of them, I learnt, is a political leader.

"I was looking at them, confused, because I don't even know the patient in question. Next thing I know, the leader stoned his phones at me. We were just three doctors there. We stood up from there and went inside.

"They broke into the room where we were, held me and my male colleague, almost tearing our shirts. I was too confused to speak. They were so many. We managed to break away from the A&E and left to another ward.

"These men started destroying things in the A&E, beating any worker they saw, nurses, doctors, security.

"The CSO came at them with a gun, as they had become really violent. They wrestled the gun from the man, with several shots released during the struggle.

"The hospital gate was locked. We are currently hiding in different locations in the hospital. I was able to record this in the midst of the chaos. This is happening at Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja."

The PUNCH reported in January 2023, how the relative of a patient allegedly attacked a medical worker at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Ogun State after losing her family member.
