GENOTYPE AND RELATIONSHIP:
The issue of knowing each other's genotype before marriage is crucial, and it should start right from when you first meet and feel attracted to each other as friends. I always say that the first thing you should know about someone you're interested in is their genotype and blood group, to see if you're compatible.

As soon as you realize you like this person and want to take things further, ask them about their genotype and blood group. Take this issue very seriously, as it's a major problem many couples face when raising kids.

I had a student who graduated from my school, and she was always falling seriously ill, complaining of leg pains. When her parents were summoned, we discovered she was a sickle cell patient. Apparently, her parents got married without considering their genotypes, and now they have to deal with the consequences of having a sick child. I was told she passed away last week, and I was both pained and angry. The fault lies with the parents.
All the money, prayers, attention, and care in the world couldn't save her.

Love can make you do the unthinkable, and you'll say things like "I'm ready to do this journey with you through thick and thin" without thinking about the consequences, the children who will suffer because of your decision.

Don't wait until you've grown feelings for someone; ask about their genotype and blood group from the start.
