Dan'Iya Lade is a philanthropist whose commitment and enthusiasm for human capital development is peerless.

The Madugu Bwari has remained and will continue to be relevant because he's a personality who at all times attends to the problems and seek progress of his immediate, larger environment, Kwara State and Nigeria at large.

His sterling leadership qualities are admiring to all that have come in contact with him, consequent upon his tolerant and unprejudiced attributes.

Dan'Iya Lade so much believed and love to serve others and creates enabling environment for all rather than personal stake.

Hon. James Kolo who is known for reinvigorating both the young and olds has written his name in gold ink and will continue to be venerated as the world lasts.

Conversation between MC corpra turumin with Abubakar Ndako Kutigi the day he left

Last night in Bida, at Cool Media Studio where we were working on some multimedia projects, Corporal Turmi came in and I jokingly asked if he came to sing a song but he responded by saying "Oga I only came to say hello to you after seeing your vehicle parked outside the studio. You know I don't sing songs sir". He spent about 15 minutes entertaining us with rib-tickling jokes as he always do. It was fun. He left for a Mauleed gathering somewhere in Bida where he was seen even after 12AM. I was traumatized woken to a text from Adamu Abdulkadir of the same Cool Media Studio where Corporal Turmi met with us the night before, that Turmi has passed on to the glory beyond.

I ask Allah ta'aalaa to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannah. Aameen Yaa Rabb!

BREAKING: OLD NAIRA/NEW NAIRA NOTES CO-EXISTS as legal Tender

The Supreme Court, has ruled that old and new Naira notes will co-exist as legal tender until further notice.

Recall that in March 2023, the apex court had extended the deadline to phase out old Naira notes to December 31, 2023.

Also, on November 21, the federal government had filed an application before the Supreme Court seeking an extension for old Naira notes to remain in circulation.

It was gathered that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had also recently said old and new Naira currencies remained legal tender indefinitely.

The death has occurred of a renowned Nupe comedian and master of ceremonies (MC) Corpral Turmi

It was gathered that Corporal Turumi died in the late hours of Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 in Bida Niger State.

The Janaizah of the remains of the deceased will take place by 9:00am today, Sunday 3rd December, 2023 in Bida Niger State.

While commiserating with the family, friends and fans of the deceased, we beseech Allah to repose his soul and grant him the best place in Jannah-al-firdaus 🙏

RE-GOV ABDULRAZAQ SUSPENDS EMIR OF TSARAGI FOR 6 MONTHS

The attention of the Kwara State Government has been drawn to a malicious and fake news circulating on the social media purporting that the Executive Governor of Kwara State Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) has suspended the Emir of Tsaragi HRH Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi from office for six months.

We state categorically that the story is fake news, intended by the writer and those sharing it to cause tension and create a bad blood between the State Government and our revered and respected Traditional Institution in the State. The agenda is dead on arrival.

The present Government has demonstrated so much respect and regards for Traditional Rulers in the State. This will remain so in line with the policy of Governor AbdulRazaq, who values the culture and tradition of our people.

The Governor, who enjoys so much good will from our respected monarchs and other leaders in the state, is a man of consensus and peace. This is a characteristic for which he is popular.

We advise the sponsors and purveyors of this fake news to desist, even as we request the security agencies to investigate this horrible development, which was clearly meant to cause disaffection in the state.

The Dan-Iya of Lade in his statement said:

"With a deep heart and sadness I write to commiserate with the family of Mr Haruna Tsado Ekati, Asst. Secretary/PRO, Lade District Development Association (LADDA) who's mother passed beyond last weekend.

May God Almighty grant her paradise and comfort the beloved ones she left behind.

Missing Nasarawa Varsity Student Found Dead

A student of the Nasarawa State University, Yusuf Mubarak, who was declared missing after being last seen on Wednesday, September 13, has been found dead.

Mubarak was said to have been last seen around the Federal Secretariat area, Federal Road, Ilorin, Kwara State around 9:40pm on Wednesday.

Since then, the 27-year-old undergraduate had not been reachable.

He was declared missing on Friday, and fliers were made in a bid to search for him.

Sadly, he was found dead, as announced by a journalist, Saeed Tijjani, on Saturday.

The announcement read, "Distinguished Friends and Lovers of Yusuf Mubaraq Authority, we regret to announce and confirm the unfortunate death of our brother who was declared missing yesterday.

"May Allah accept his return unto Him, forgive his sins, reward him with Janah, and abide with all that he left behind."

*Kwara receives 1200 bags of rice, Gov directs immediate distribution to less privileged*

Kwara State Government has received two trucks containing exactly 1,200 bags of rice from the Federal Government, with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq directing immediate distribution of same to the less privileged through local government structures in the state.

“The government took delivery of the rice on Thursday. The Governor has now directed that these be shared to the less privileged immediately. The local government authorities are to supervise the distribution,” according to a Government House statement on Tuesday morning.

“The Governor demands that various stakeholders, especially community-based groups and traditional institutions, be consulted to generate the list of the beneficiaries on a non-partisan basis.

"The state government, meanwhile, is still awaiting delivery of three more trucks of bags of rice, which would be distributed in like manner.

"The Governor expresses profound appreciation to the Federal Government, especially President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the kind gesture."

Kwara State Government had earlier rolled out several palliatives to cushion the efforts of the removal of fuel subsidy, including the ongoing e-process to give stipends to students of Kwara State origin.

Federal Character Chairman Muheeba Farida Dankaka, finally agreed that jobs were sold by her SA but lied that they forged her signature, even the people in the hall booed her at such a claim in this 21st cenutry

The integrity group of the Commission had last week accused the Chairman of using her SA Kolo to sell jobs with proof, she was asked to defend herself then but rather than reference that, she took to accusing commissioners of not coming to work.

only to claim that she was only aware of it last three weeks.

Our questions are:

1- Why did she not report it?

2-Why didn't she say so at the first, when she was accused by the integrity group?

3- How can she provide new job for a person whom she claimed forged her signature ?

4-Considering how difficult it is for anyone but the Chairman to secure jobs, how can a mere SA access 24 jobs that he sold?. Knowing 2 wks ago that he is an IPPIS Liaison Officer after 3 years of working with him.

NIGERIANS SHOULD DEMAND RESPONSE TO THESE QUESTIONS.

Sales of jobs: FCC Chairman says her signature was forged

The Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Muheeba Dankaka, has alleged that her signature was forged to perpetrate the alleged sale of federal employment opportunities.

Dankaka, who has been in the eye of the storm following allegations of job racketeering levelled against her, appeared before the House investigative committee again on Monday.

DAILY POST recalls that several commissioners in her commission had levelled the allegation of job racketeering against her.

Speaking before the committee, Dankaka claimed that some people, including one named Haruna Kolo, forged her signature to recruit staff and also enrolled them on the IPPIS platform.

“The letter that went out, they forged my signature,” she said.

At the end of the hearing, the chairman of the committee, Yusuf Gagdi, summoned the Accountant General of the Federation, past chairmen of FCC, the Director General of AMCON, as well as Mr Kolo Haruna, to appear before the panel in subsequent hearings.

He stated that the EFCC would take over the allegation of forgery and other criminal allegations.

Ebun Adelesi becomes first female CP in Kwara

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has deployed Ebun Oluwarotimi Adelesi to Kwara State as the new Commissioner of Police.

With her deployment, Adelesi becomes the first female Commissioner of Police in the state.

She will work in collaboration with the state government to strengthen security and fight crimes.

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF) runs a gender-inclusive administration.

In his first term, he constituted a female-majority cabinet and appointed women to key political offices in the state.

The governor's antecedents show that the new female Commissioner of Police will get the required support from the state government to succeed in her role.

Abuja: High Court of FCT reserves ruling on Emefiele's bail application

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory sitting in Abuja has reserved a ruling in the bail application of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, to July 13, 2023.

The presiding Judge, Justice Hamza Muazu gave the order after the arguments of all parties in the matter.

Emefiele through his counsel is challenging his detention by the DSS and denial of access to members of his family and counsel.

Counsel to both the Department of State Services and the office of the Attorney General of the Federation opposed the bail application of Godwin Emefiele.

The respondents told the court that Emefiele is a flight risk. Counsel to the respondents equally argued that the suspended CBN Governor was being detained on the order of the chief magistrate's court of the FCT.

JUST IN: TINUBU DISSOLVES BOARDS, AGENCIES, OTHERS

The President, Bola Tinubu, has approved the immediate dissolution of the Governing Boards of all Federal Government parastatals, agencies, Institutions, and government-owned Companies.

In a statement released on Monday by the Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey, said boards commissions and councils listed in the third schedule, part one section 153 (i) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria are excluded from the president’s directive.

The Nigeria Judicial Council, Code of Conduct Bureau; Council of State; Federal Character Commission; Federal Civil Service Commission; Independent National Electoral Commission; National Population Commission; Police Service Commission; and Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission are part of the agencies excluded from the directive.

“In view of this development and until such a time new boards are constituted, the Chief Executive Officers of the Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions, and Government-Owned Companies are directed to refer matters requiring the attention of their Boards to the President, through the Permanent Secretaries of their respective supervisory Ministries and Offices,” the statement added.

Bassey also said Permanent Secretaries had been instructed to direct all correspondence to the president since last Friday.

He said, “Permanent Secretaries are directed, also, to route such correspondences to Mr President through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Consequently, all Ministries, Departments and Agencies are to ensure compliance with the provision of this directive which took effect from Friday, June 16, 2023.

“Permanent Secretaries are particularly directed to inform the Chief Executive Officers of the affected Agencies under the supervision of their respective Ministries/Offices for immediate compliance.”

! Lawmaker confirmed dead few days after inauguration.

Kaduna House of Assembly member representing Chikun under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Madami Garba Madami is dead.

Madami died in the hospital where he was receiving treatment on Saturday, three days after the inauguration.

The 10th State Assembly members were inaugurated on June 13, 2023, and the late member could not participate as a result of an undisclosed ailment.

A traditional title holder from his constituency (Chikun), Ibrahim Sale, the Ardo Ardodin, confirmed the Incident.
