Elizabeth Oshoba Becomes First Nigerian Female Boxer to Win a World Title

Nigerian boxer Elizabeth Oshoba has emerged as the world champion in the women's featherweight category.

Oshoba knocked out Italy's Michela Braga in the 10th round of the World Boxing Council's (WBC) silver female featherweight bout to claim the world title and extend her professional bout record to 7-0.

In November 2023, the 24-year-old beat Italy's Martina Righi in Swindon, England, to clinch the International Boxing Organization's (IBO) title.

Coalition of Online Publishers, Bloggers and Social Media Influencers (COPBSMI) Presents Eket Senatorial District Social Media Hangout 2021 with the Theme: PROMOTING GOOD GOVERNANCE, SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE THROUGH DIGITAL MEDIA.

The event is schedule as follows:

Date: Friday, December 17, 2021
Venue: Media Academy, 2nd Floor, 30 Park Road, Eket
Time: 4pm prompt
Winding Down: Bubbles Plaza, Eket Christmas Village, Eket by 6pm

The idea about Eket Senatorial District Social Media Hangout is to bring practitioners (publishers, bloggers, social media influencers, etc.), end users and key stakeholders to brainstorm on the challenges and offer solutions to the myriads of issues associated with social media. It will not only bring unity among social media practitioners and decrease the surge in cyberstalking, blackmailing and other heinous crimes associated with social media, but will also promote positive engagements, create opportunities and sustainable wealth for youth in the social media space.
