Every now and then, someone would reach out to us that they've been applying for jobs for years and no single interview, not to mention getting the job.
You see, at Dixcover Hub, coupled with our website, we run a Whatsapp group of about 50k people where we post job and internship opportunities every day. So it's common for people to reach out to us with their frustrations of not being able to secure a job.
Some, out of these frustrations even go as far as accusing us of circulating fake jobs on the internet.
We usually take no offence from such people because we understand how hard it is to be applying for jobs without responses.
And also because a lot of people reach out to us with notes of appreciation for the jobs, internships, and scholarships they secured through our platforms.
However, when people reach out seeking help on jobs, our first guess is usually that their CV must be a mess. So, we'd ask them to send in their CV.
And truthfully so, their CV is usually a mess.
In most cases, more messy than we ever expected.
What a lot of people don't understand is that the whole recruiting process is built on judgement and their cv is about the only thing recruiters have to judge them.
You'll struggle a lot if your CV does not represent the best of you.
After helping hundreds of people in our groups fix their CVs, it was not long before we discovered that almost everyone is making the same mistakes.
