70% of most of the reasons you can't sit down to read is summarized in this. You must understand today that reading is hardwork and no hardwork is pleasant at the time. The act of sitting down to read is painful since it is hardwork. Effective reading saps Energy. This explains why a student who is preparing for a professional exam losses weight. Anytime you engage in a pleasure giving activity for instance (pre-marital s*x, looking at home video, playing video games, smoking, getting drunk, looking at po*******hy, ma********ng and so on) the pleasure site gets really activated (lively and wide awake) while the pain site is deactivated. When you continue in such activities frequently the brain and body cells gets acclimatized and lively only to such activities. Any other activity that is neither pleasurable nor amusing, which the body tries to engage in Will be hotly revolted against.
When an individual who is addicted to amusement and pleasure wants to sit down and do some reading, it becomes a very painful and discomforting activity. He sits for 10 mins, gets up, drink water. And for another 10 mins , visit the toilet, looks around and so on. The body crave for those amusement and pleasurable things it is used to.
Hopefully, the same is equally true when an individual starts engaging in those seemingly painful activities early enough. The pain site becomes activated while the pleasure site becomes deactivated. Some of the activities that seem painful include: sitting down to read, reading educative books.
