IT’S THE 4TH EDITION GRAND FINALE OF HON IHEANACHO NWOGU “CHOCHO’S UNITY CUP!

The CHOCHO’S Unity cup ceremony recorded huge success today as Leaders, Councilors, Ndi Eze and friends like Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor, Hon Chidi Agu, Hon Ugochukwu Nwogu, Hon Bestman Eruba was among spectators who witnessed the momentous grand finale of the annual Chocho Unity Cup, 2024 football competition.

The grand finale, which was held today at the Ekearo Community School field, had the two finalists- AroNgwa ward 4 and OSOKWA ward 6- leaving OSOKWA with the trophy in the battle for the grand prize.

This tournament has unveiled talents in Osisioma Ngwa North youths and has been used to empower them to discover their skills in football and has continued to stampede the unification agenda of Hon IHEANACHO Nwogu as part of his promises to his people. The match which ended in a beautiful atmosphere giving OSOKWA Ward 6 the winning 1: 0 over AroNgwa ward 4 was a symbol of progressive action amongst the entire constituency.

Hon Chocho further congratulated the entire team that participated including the ANGELS UNITY TOURNAMENT female category that played earlier for their collective resilience towards fostering a collaborative approach.

Hon Iheanacho Nwogu said that the competition had been on for the past four years, adding that this year’s edition was its 4th. He said, “normally, it is a traditional competition with the purpose of celebrating our uncommon unity, oneness and peace within our community and Constituency at large.

“It has also become a major end- of- year celebration for the Osisioma Ngwa North State Constituency people with also the benefits that come with sporting activities.

He added that all young team participated in this year’s competition, adding, “it is a local football competition but we do give room for some greater things

The two finalists ended in a convincing win for OSOKWA ward 6 after ninety minutes of regular play, following a well played game with Arongwa Ward 4.

Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor amongst very other prominent leaders commended the unprecedented leadership and efforts of Hon CHOCHO in maintaining this process of engagement and encouragement to his people, pledged to give maximum support and presented the trophy to the winners.

Today, The Member, Abia State House of Assembly for Osisioma Ngwa North State Constituency Hon Iheanacho Nwogu expressed a privilege of joining other well-meaning Constituents and Abians in celebrating a resourceful, trailblazing constituent Chief Chinanzaekpere Sunday Abraham whose contributions to his Community and across has been immeasurable.

With profound gratitude to the almighty God, I welcome you all to a brand new year 2025. I join you in thanksgiving to God for his love, protection and guidance all through 2024.

In a special way, i thank you my constituents for your unalloyed support and cooperation which has formed the base for my courage and strength in discharging my duties as your Representative.

I salute our collective resolve to continue to work together in peace despite the harsh economic realities, which has stretched us beyond our limits most of the times.

As the new year 2025 begins, be reassured of my commitment to ensure the developmental needs of our constituency are attended to. This can be achieved by applying the level of prudence and ingenuity that the present economic challenges demand.

Onicha head bridge is not the beginning or starting point of Igbo land.

The bridge is the road that links Onicha and Asaba (Anambra state and Anioma state) which are both Igbo lands and Igbo states.

Igbo land starts from Igbanke in Edo state, Idah in kogi state and other boundaries between Igbos and non Igbos.

Anioma land is Igbo land.
Anioma land is south east.

A river does not divide a people.
Igbo bu ofu.

To the Igbo across the Niger, the First Niger Bridge is more than just a physical structure—it is a symbol. On approach, it evokes feelings that are often indescribable. Crossing it feels different, almost transformative - better imagined.

I have used the Second Niger Bridge (SNB) - Pic2, yet it does not evoke the same emotions. While the SNB serves its purpose in traffic decongestion, it lacks the deep emotional and cultural resonance that many Igbo east of the Niger feel for the First Niger Bridge.

The FNB transcends its role as a physical structure. It is a symbol of history, identity, and the bonds that hold us together. It carries not just traffic but memories, struggles, and a shared sense of belonging. For many of us, crossing the First Niger Bridge is not merely a journey of miles but one of meaning.

The First Niger Bridge is beyond a bridge—it is a connection to the soul of the Igbo East of the Niger River.

I agree with this post. Even though Igboland does not start from the Niger Bridge, it gives an indescribable feeling of "home at last" whenenver an Igbo from the east of the Niger beholds it when returning from any part of Nigeria or the world. It has beauty - It's like a nest.

Lawmaker, Hon. Iheanacho Nwogu - Cho-Cho Celebrates Constituents ...distributes food items, rolls of wrappers and cash gifts

At Umuekpe Amavo his residence in Osisioma Ngwa North State Constituency, Hon. Iheanacho Nwogu - Cho-Cho told the constituents that he decided to celebrate them specially this year by sharing rice and cash gifts to the great and hardworking people of his constituency.

Today, The Member representing Osisioma Ngwa North State Constituency has distributed 500 bags of rice, 100 rolls of wrappers and cash gifts to the people of his constituency which was described as another significant step towards the unwavering commitment to sharing love, Supporting his constituents.

At the event which had people from his various wards of his constituency in attendance, he told the constituents that he decided to celebrate them specially as he promised that he would keep giving them all that is due to them without having to rob them of any of their benefits for any reason.

Emphasizing on how important it is for him to maintain his good name and deeds, Hon Chocho explained that he would be much satisfied once he’s able to fulfill the mandate given to him by his people.

Our mission remains steadfast: to build a constituency where every individual is equipped to thrive and contribute meaningfully to our collective progress. Together, we are laying the foundation for a more prosperous and self-reliant future for all.

Joining him, The Traditional Rulers and Councilors commended his gesture at this period of the year urged all other political and none office holders across the state to emulate what Hon Chocho has done for his people which they described as a very good one.

Appreciating the gesture, the beneficiaries who could not hide their feelings unanimously prayed for him to receive grace to excel for him to be able to do more.

Together, we are building a constituency where every individual has the opportunity to thrive. Let’s keep moving forward

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE TO OSISIOMA NGWA NORTH PEOPLE

Dear CONSTITUENTS !

As we roll out our drums with colourful attires to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Let us endeavour to use the festivities of this season for sober reflection of what we have done in the past and what we intend doing in the future.

Let the peaceful nature of the good people of OSISIOMA NGWA NORTH STATE CONSTITUENCY be sustained, irrespective of divergent positions of the people on various issues.

Chocho Preaches Peace, Love and Unity at Christmas.

As Christians the world over commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ , the Saviour of mankind, The Member Representing Osisioma Ngwa North state Constituency in the House of Assembly, Hon Iheanacho Nwogu says it will be a disservice to our Lord Jesus Christ, if people do not reflect on the virtues of love, peace and unity that the birth of Christ brought to humanity and seek to live like him.

Hon Cho-Cho in his Christmas message to his Constituents said "over two thousand years ago, angels heralded the birth of Jesus Christ , our Lord and Savior with the eternal words, " Glory to God in the highest , and on earth peace, goodwill towards men. "

He therefore called on his people to make the songs of the angels their song and re- commit themselves to giving glory to God for his great love towards them.

Deputy Whip and Chairman House Committee on Transport, explained that the story of Jesus Christ holds several lessons for people, saying that though he was born in the manger , his birth was celebrated in Heaven.

The people's Representative advised those whose circumstances of birth have been less than ennobling never to give up because heaven may be interested in their future.

While acknowledging the contributions of his Constituents towards a successful outing in 2024, Hon Cho-Cho reiterated his Commitment to creating the environment for everyone who may have been impeded by circumstance of birth to rise beyond his or her limitations.

Admitting that Jesus brought peace to earth by his birth, Chocho reminds his Constituents that one of the demands of their faith is to live in peace with their neighbors and friends as well as adherents of other Faiths and religions.

"We should have goodwill towards all men in general and our State Constituency in particular so that we can weave a new Osisioma Ngwa North Constituency with threads of love.

let us use this Celebration to recommit ourselves to the course of making our Constituency the citadel of peace and love."

He pointed out that Christ's message of love and hope should aspire his Constituents this Christmas to do their duties to others and see that duty fulfilled In their day to day relationships in order to make the State Constituency better.

Abia Airport: President Tinubu intentional about S'East Devt -Deputy Speaker, Kalu

Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is very intentional about developing the South Eastern region of the coutry, particularly Abia State.

Kalu made the revelation while speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for Abia airport in Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State on Tuesday.

The Deputy Speaker who expressed gratitude to the President for approving the project also recalled that the South East Development Commission (SEDC) was another signature and people-oriented initiative that shows President Tinubu's love for the South East region.

He assured Abia State governor, Dr. Alex Otti of the Parliament's cooperation in quick completion of the airport project through adequate budgetary provisions.

It will be recalled that the Deputy Speaker who represents Bende Federal Constituency of the State played a significant role in attracting the project including giving the lawmaker representing Isiala Ngwa/Isiala South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe the project letter received from the federal authorities to convey to the Governor for his buy-in on the vital infrastructure.

He said: "I want to assure you that the President we have today is a President that is delibrate, intentional about developing the south East region. He is not mincing words about it. He is a lover of South East. We thank you, Mr. President for being intentional about Abia State.

"When the letter got to me, I called Hon. Ginger and said, please, take this letter straight to Gov. Otti. We will keep looking for avenues to develop Abia State.

"I want to assure you (Governor Otti) that we are going to cooperate with you in finishing any project started in collaboration with you. Let's all join hands and build Abia".
