Some friends would have since become very rich together but no, each person prefers to own an ant than share an elephant. Shame! Find someone you can build with. Take the risk and stop being a defender, midfielder, striker, and goalkeeper. Being rich is better than being a boss. It’s better to share a forest than to be the Lord of a desert with one tree.

Rich people send their children to expensive schools not just to study but to connect with other kids they can build their lives with. Even with their money, they understand that they need each other. But you that is struggling to transport yourself to school go solo immediately after graduation with the intention of making it big on your own so that you can come back and oppress your fellow poor schoolmates.

You should know that you may have found the door of breakthrough but your friend or schoolmate is with the key.

At age 21, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak didn’t have deep pockets, but they had a relentless drive. Jobs sold his Volkswagen bus, and Wozniak sold his HP calculator, scraping together $2,000 to fuel their first venture. They put their cash toward building the Apple I, launched on April Fools’ Day in 1976. That’s where true ambition meets action—they took what they had and made it work.

Their hard work paid off when a local computer dealer ordered 100 units of the Apple I for $50,000. But here’s the reality: they didn’t have enough cash to fulfill the order. They hustled, purchased parts on credit, and with the help of family and friends, managed to assemble those computers, paying off their suppliers just in time. That’s how you build success—by doing whatever it takes, by grinding with a timeline breathing down your neck.

Enter Mike Markkula, a former manager at Intel who saw their potential and invested $92,000. Markkula helped Apple secure a $250,000 credit line and shaped their business plan. From there, Apple’s rise was unstoppable. They sold the Apple I for $666.66, making their first big earnings, and when the Apple II hit the market, Apple’s sales soared to $139 million within three years.

In 1980, Apple went public, with its first trading day valued at $1.2 billion—ending the day at $1.8 billion. This was a company that started in a garage and now was making history. But success brings its challenges. In 1983, Jobs brought in John Sculley from Pepsi to be Apple’s CEO, and together they launched the iconic Macintosh. Though it performed better than IBM’s PCs, internal conflict led to Jobs’ exit from Apple in 1985.

protest cost Nigeria’s economy over N500 billion— Minister of Industry, trade and investment

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka Anite has revealed that the economic sabotage from the ongoing EndBadGovernance protest is estimated at N500 billion.

In a post shared on her official X handle, she lamented the deaths because of the protest and other damages caused by the protests.

According to her post, around N52 billion worth of goods were destroyed while the d3ath toll from the protest had reached 21. She noted that the lootings from the protest are a setback to businesses and entrepreneurs across the country.

She said, “The loss of lives during the protests is saddening. My thoughts are with the families affected. The looting, resulting in billions lost, is a severe setback for our economy and entrepreneurs. Let’s honour those we’ve lost by striving for more peaceful and constructive dialogue.”
