The Abia state government has denied spending over nine hundred million naira ok the feeding and welfare of Governor Alex Otti from July to September 2023.

Earlier reports emerged that a budget performance report indicated that the government spent nine hundred and twenty seven million naira within three months on refreshments and meals, allowance , settlement of honorarium and welfare packages.

Armed men alleged to be police officers and suspected political things yesterday night invaded th residence of the factional speaker of the Rivers State House of assembly , Edison Ehie , in Port Harcourt.

It could not be ascertained if any damage or casualty was recorded during the invasion.

It was gathered that Ehie's security details foiled the attack suspected to be an assassination attempt .

This is coming after twenty seven lawmakers led by House speaker, Martins Amaehule , went to Abuja for a retreat , which they later described as capacity building.
