"Onye biri igbe ya ibri ka uwa diri anyi nma"(Live and let others live)... Igbos are not structured for oppression... Who told you that the igbos don't respect their kings.. Igbos do but the only difference is that they don't bow down to mortals but only Chukwu okike bi na elu igwe(God the creator who lives in heaven).. They have the Onuowu who always checks the excesses of the king for checks and balances.
