🎯Marketing: Being a VA does not end there. With all the skills and expertise, you have to position yourself for the client to find you. And that is where marketing comes in. Marketing your skill is one of the difficulties you face as a VA. It takes grace and good marketing/position to land your first client. And subsequently, maintain and increase your clients.
🎯Burnout: You will get tired at a point. Having to work alone and most times working on repetitive tasks, handling multiple clients, having many tasks at hand to handle and meet up deadlines, etc.
🎯Procrastinations: Working alone is boring. Task would be postponed and shifted. And as a VA, when not properly willed, distractions will set in. Either a beep from phone, social media or phone call. 🎯Cost of Equipment: There are tasks to be done with a phone as a VA, but it won’t take you anywhere. To succeed as a VA, you need to buy a high processor system. Handling multiple clients and installing several software requires a good processor system. A computer is the first and most important of equipment. Other gadgets can come in, eg: : headphone, Wi-Fi, microphone, etc.
🎯Competition: The VA role is highly competitive. To succeed, you need to perfect your craft, make sure your voice is heard out of the noise. A closer look on freelancing and job platforms will buttress this point. It’s a competitive role.
