A lot of people are going through one challenge or the other. It hurts when this challenge is something beyond us at times but we can navigate through it.
I started the year with a resolution to pay adequate attention to my health by investing in fruits and multivitamins.
Regular exercise was part of the plan. Lol, this was going to be hard for me.
On the fruit, I kept it for a few weeks almost a month before I slack. Got multivitamin too, and was good. But, I couldn't continue funding the fruit again because I was financially committed to a lot, coupled with the fact that the price of fruits skyrocketed.
I broke down. I was actually visiting the pharmacy back to back like in 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, when Real Madrid won the UEFA champions League, 😅
But this what I want you to get,
Most of us have dreams, plans, resolutions, etc., But the resources to fund this dream is limited. Getting skilled and certified requires a lot of resources.
The resources include:
Your energy
Your money
Time
Social resources (people that will genuinely hold you to success) etc.
You get the point?
No matter how you try to sugarcoat it, if you are not strong willed and lacking in two of the above resources, your dreams are as good as dead.
Just like I couldn't keep up in funding my fruit with some other factor which I don't want to bore you with details causes a health break down,
But the good thing is, there is always a way to navigate through it.
I was ill, yes, it caused me a lot, both money, taking of courses, and disengaging from a lot of activities, but here I am now.
What’s my point,
When faced in a situation beyond your control, don’t beat yourself too hard. Instead, look for a way to navigate through it.
Eg
You can’t afford paid courses now? get access to free courses, YouTube is there too.
Create time to take them
Developed a strong spirit
Your dream skill is achievable.
