He died to set us free.
He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Lesson 13
March 31, 2024

TOPIC: THE LIVING LORD (EASTER)
TEXT: Matthew 27:57-60; 28:1-7, 16-20

MEMORY VERSE: " If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God" (Colossians 3:1).

CENTRAL TRUTH: Believers are assured of resurrection through Christ.

INTRODUCTION
After our study on salvation available for all, it becomes necessary to spend more time this week of our Easter week to dwell on the resurrection of Christ. Christ is our living Lord and a proof that resurrection of the death is a reality

OUTLINES
1. CRUCIFIED AND BURIED

2. HIS RESURRECTION - MATTHEW 28:1-7

CONCLUSION
God has always had a place for His creation. The fact that man sinned did not cause God to change His plan. He knew man's plight before the beginning of time. What joy it brings to our heart to know that the same God who has the whole picture in full view is able to place the smaller picture of our lives in the mural of His plan. God had plan established for our lives even before we knew Him. He did not wait until Adam and Eve sinned to plan for the salvation of the lost. Before He even created the world, He knew He would send His son to the cross to die for sinners. He also knew He would raise His Son from the dead to authenticate his sacrifices. Christ's resurrection assures us we will live eternally if we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour. And after we are saved, He does not want us to keep the good news to ourselves. He had commanded us to tell it to the whole world.

Lesson 12
March 24, 2024

TOPIC: SOUL WINNING
TEXT: Luke 10:1-20; Acts 8:26-39; 26:1-29

MEMORY VERSE: "The harvest truly is great but the labourers are few; pray ye the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest" (Luke10:2).

CENTRAL TRUTH: The New Testament shows how the Holy Spirit will lead believers in soul winning
INTRODUCTION
Two key things are basically important for soul winning. They are: the knowledge of the Bible and the sensitivity of the Holy spirit's leading. We do not argue with people into salvation rather we give them the word through which the Spirit uses to convict them. If Philip had not been well acquainted with the scriptures, he would have had a difficult time explaining to the man in the chariot the meaning of the passage he was reading. Even when we feel fearful and self conscious about witnessing, the Holy Spirit will help our human weakness. We must keep in mind that we are under a mandate from the Lord to evangelize. He has commanded us to go. His field is the world, starting with our own family circle and neighbourhood and reaching to everyone whom we contact.

OUTLINES
1. TWO BY TWO - LUKE 10:1-20

2. ONE ON ONE - ACTS 8:26-39

3. TO A HOUSEHOLD - ACTS 10:24-48

4. TO A SKEPTIC - ACTS 8:19-29

CONCLUSION
As Christians our greatest duty is to witness in words or in deeds to others on our ways; whether we find ourselves isolated or working together in a group. We have a responsibility to share Christ with the unsaved.

Lesson 11
March 17, 2024

TOPIC: WE HAVE THE COMMAND TO EVANGELIZE
TEXT: Matthew 9:35-38; 28:16-20; Mark 16:15-20; John 4:35-38

MEMORY VERSE: "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15).

CENTRAL TRUTH: Christians are commissioned by Christ to bring the good news to the lost world.

INTRODUCTION
There is only one great commission Jesus Christ has given to all who believe in Him and that is to evangelize the world. Evangelism means taking the good news to the lost. Now that Jesus has returned to heaven, the responsibility rest on every believer to evangelize the world. Our Lord made this abundantly clear before He left this world. His commission extends to the end of the church age. It is not an option; it is a command. He assures us we will not be working alone, for He will be with us every step of the way. Furthermore, the Spirit of God will will perform signs that will confirm our witness and arrest the attention of unbelievers. It is high privilege to share with Christ in evangelizing the world. But our time is limited; there will come an end to the day of opportunity. We must work diligently before the sun sets on the age of grace. The great responsibility demands enough preparation by prayer and in the study of Word of God.

OUTLINES
1. PREACHING EVERYWHERE - MATTHEW 9:35-38; JOHN 4:35-38

2. THE COMMISSIONING - MATTHEW 28:18-20

3. GOD'S CONFIRMATION - MARK 16:15-20

CONCLUSION
We need not wait for a special call or special ministry in order to evangelize the world. God calls us to start right where we are and He will lead us from the point as He chooses. Nor can we hide behind past rejection of the responsibility as an excuse to not share the gospel in the present. No matter our attitude or feelings about it, Jesus has clearly commanded us as His people to share the gospel.

Lesson 10

TOPIC: JESUS EVANGELIZED THE WORLD
TEXT: Luke 19:1-10; John 4:30; 8:2-11

MEMORY VERSE: "For the son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:10).

CENTRAL TRUTH: Jesus ministry to the lost is our greatest example of evangelism

INTRODUCTION
Jesus was our teaching example in evangelism seeking he lost became his primary duty. Jesus did not wait for the lost to find Him. Every waking moment He searched for them. That was His mission to earth: first, to seek, then having found the lost, to save them. He knew how far mankind had fallen and the terrors awaiting him in eternity if he did not repent. For this reason there was urgency in our Lord's mission. He ministered until He became physically weary. Sometimes He did not even have time to eat. But His own comfort was secondary to His love for the souls He came to save. He used opportunities others might miss like witnessing to a woman who was drawing water from a well. His ministry was not mechanical; it was motivated by the deepest compassion for those He came to save.

OUTLINES
1. SEEKING THE LOST - LUKE 19:1-10

2. WITNESSING TO THE LOST - JOHN 4:7-30

3. COMPASSION FOR THE LOST - JOHN 8:2-11

CONCLUSION
Jesus challenged us by his example to get involved with the needs and desires of sinful people in a way that will help bring them to God. He showed us in practical fashion that speaking the gospel must always be accompanied by actions that live it.
We should begin by establishing contact with people right where we are: at work, at home and in our neighbourhoods. There are people whose lives we touch each day that are in great needs of God's love, of salvation in Christ. First of all, we must open our eyes and become sensitive enough to their needs to see who they are.

Lesson 9

TOPIC: BORN INTO THE FAMILY OF GOD
TEXT: John 3:1-16

MEMORY VERSE: "Behold, what manner of love the father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God" (1 John 3:1).

CENTRAL TRUTH: Through the new birth men are brought into the family of god, with all its rights and privileges.

INTRODUCTION
In last week's lesson we considered what we must do in connection with Salvation. We must repent of our sin. We must believe the gospel. We must confess that God raised Jesus from the dead. However, these things that we do can never in themselves bring us our salvation. The Holy Spirit must do what is really necessary for us to become children of God. He must implant in us new life, the very life of Christ so we are born of God, born again, born from above. When one is born again he becomes a member of God's family. This is our concern in today's lesson.

OUTLINES
1. THE NEED FOR REGENERATION - JOHN 3:1-5

2. THE MIRACLE OF REGENERATION - JOHN 3:6-16; 2PETER 1:4

3. THE BLESSING OF REGENERATION - ROMANS 8:14-17; GALATIANS 4:7; 1JOHN 3:1, 5:11,12

CONCLUSION
Those who are born into the family of God are the true children of God and they have special characteristics and privileges. Those who are born of God have the nature of God abiding in them ( 1John 3:9). This nature prevent them from habitual sinning and makes it possible for them to live holy life. You must be sure you're a member of God's family

Lesson 8

TOPIC: SALVATION - OUR PART AS CHRISTIANS
TEXT: Romans 10:8-17

MEMORY VERSE: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto Salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek" (Romans1:16).

CENTRAL TRUTH: Man's part in Salvation us to repent of all sin and to return to God in faith

INTRODUCTION
Salvation is entirely God act. We cannot do anything and could not do anything to accomplish it, so God did it all. The Bible says, God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself (1Corinthians 5:19). The good news is that God gave His Son, raised Him from the dead, and that the work is done once for all. But God expects our response to His great act of Salvation which has made us God's children

OUTLINES
1. THE FIRST STEP IN OUR RESPONSES IS TO REPENT OF OUR SINS - LUKE 19:1-10; ACTS 16:30; 17-30; 2 PETER 3:9

2. EVIDENCE OF REPENTANCE

3. BELIEVE THE GOSPEL - JOHN 1:12; ACTS 16:31; 1JOHN 5:10-13

4. CONFESS CHRIST - MATTHEW 10:32,33; ROMANS 10:8-17

CONCLUSION
God's wonderful provision of salvation calls for our response. Imagine yourself giving a very expensive and thoughtful gift to a person you love. You would obviously not be satisfied with no indication that the gift was appreciated or even wanted. Just as we expect a response of gratitude for gift we give, God wants us to respond to the gift of His Son. And He has told us in Hos Word what response He expects. We must repent of sin, believe and act like we believe on Jesus and confess Him before others.

Lesson 7

TOPIC: SALVATION - GOD'S PART
TEXT: Romans 4:3-8, 20-25

MEMORY VERSE: "That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life" (Titus 3:7).

CENTRAL TRUTH: God has taken all necessary actions to bring man back to himself

INTRODUCTION
Salvation, a word that has meaning spiritually, to include not only what God has done for us, but what He is doing for us and what he will do for us. It begins with conversations and will find its climax and consummation in the inheritance we shall receive when Jesus comes again.
The initial act of obedient faith in conversation is necessary. With the mouth we shall keep on confessing unto Salvation, ( Romans 10:9). The fullness of this Salvation is ready now, but will not be revealed until Christ returns (John 14:2,3; 1 Peter 1:5,9; 1John 3:2). Yet even now, through faith and by the Holy Spirit we enjoy an earnest, but first installment of what God has for us.

OUTLINES
1. WE ARE BOUGHT WITHA PRICE

2. PROPITIATION - 1 JOHN 2:1, 2:4-10

3. JUSTIFICATION - ROMANS 5:1-3, ROMANS 4:5-8, 20-23

CONCLUSION
The life of the believer who had been saved is at peace with God, enjoys fellowship with God and feels forgiven. He is free from anxiety about his spiritual condition. He is free to help others, rejoices in the mercy of God that provided his redemption and expresses gratitude for Christ's sacrifice on his behalf. Can you testify this as a Christian?

Lesson 6

TOPIC: GOD'S REDEMPTION FOR ALL
TEXT: Exodus 12:1-7, 12, 13; Isaiah 53:1-12

MEMORY VERSE: "For the life is the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonementfor your souls, for it is the bloodthat makethatonementfor the soul" (Levitt us 17:11).

CENTRAL TRUTH: The Old Testament prefigures the redemptive work of Christ.

INTRODUCTION
From the beginning, God intended to perpetuate his nature through mankind. Even when the first man, Adam failed, He has his own plotted ways to redeem man through Christ.

OUTLINES
1. CHRIST OUR PASSOVER LAMB - EXODUS 12:1-7; 12,13

2. THE DAY OF ATONEMENT - LEVITICUS 16:29-34; 17:11

3. CHRIST'S SACRIFICE PROPHESIED - ISAIAH 53:1-12

CONCLUSION
God's plan of salvation was not something Jesus' followers put together to start a new religion. It is built on a foundation that stretches back to the garden of Eden and extends throughout the old Testament. Christ's suffering and death was pictured in detail in the passover and DAY of Atonement.

Lesson 5

TOPIC: GOD'S LOVE FOR MANKIND
TEXT: 1 Timothy 1:12-17; 1Peter 1:3-9; 1John 1:5-10

MEMORY VERSE: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life(John 3:16)

CENTRAL TRUTH: God showed his love by giving his son to redeem sinners.

INTRODUCTION
God demonstrated His love towards us even when we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). He has been reaching out to touch the lost ever since the moment He came into Eden after the fall, calling for Adam. The measure of any love is what it is prepared to give. God's love is so far beyond the greatest human love that there is no comparison. Since only the giving of His Son as a sacrifice would save sinners, God did not hesitate to send His son to earth on that mission.

OUTLINES
1. HE OVERLOOKS OUR PAST

2. GOD FORGIVES SINS - 1 JOHN 1:5-10

3. GOD'S KEEPING POWER - 1 PETER 1:3-9

CONCLUSION
God's love has made it possible for us to have joyful and victorious lives. Through the marvellous gift of salvation we have not only the hope of eternal life, but the assurance of Christ's abiding, keeping presence in our lives day by day.

Lesson 4

TOPIC: GOD NEEDS YOUR HELP
TEXT: Numbers 11:16-20

MEMORY VERSE: "Then he said to his disciples, the harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few" (Matthew 9:37)

CENTRAL TRUTH: Those recruited by the Lord are always equipped for the service they are called.

INTRODUCTION
It is very common these days to see posters and adverts headed "Workers Needed" then the advertiser will list out the caliber of workers needed. God would have named all the animals and plant in the garden of Eden but He employed Adam to carry out that duty (Genesis 2:20). Similarly, God would have devices other means to save the world of Noah from the flood but he need Noah to be a participant in the process of salvation. The burden of the children of Israel in the wilderness journey was too great for Moses. Millions of people making their demands on one person as humans must have wearied Moses and God had to intervene by asking Moses to appoint seventy elders for assistance. What happened to Jesus Christ who was God and human, He needed helpers for his ministry to progress. God always needs human beings for His services to humanity.

OUTLINES
1. SHARE IN THE BURDEN - NUMBERS 11:11-17

2. SHARE IN RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY - LUKE 9:1-10

3. SHOW COMPETENCE IN YOUR RESPONSIBILITY - LUKE 14:22-28

CONCLUSION
As a member of your local church, which area are you functioning? Have you been able to help God? What personal self-development and training have you undergone recently? What are the improvements you have injected into God's services for excellence? In your small corner, how competent are you to lead others and what is the end product? To be a good leader you must be a good follower.
