🚨❗️ Wizkid’s “Morayo” Vs Davido’s “Timeless”

Wizkid’s latest album, ‘Morayo’, leaves all stones unturned, as it has failed to produce any record ahead of Davido’s ‘Timeless’ in 16 hours.

The number one marketing strategy for Wizkid’s Morayo album was trolling Davido and running an excessive campaign against his records, using Twitter influencers to build momentum for an album he considered to be the best he has ever recorded.

The album has dropped, and fans are questioning if another album is on the way as they claim the album hasn’t lived up to the hype.

Here are some records for Morayo so far compared to Davido’s Timeless, released years ago:

1. Morayo successfully occupied all Top 17 positions on Nigerian Apple Music in 10 hours, and several Wizkid fans claimed it is the fastest Afrobeats album to hold this record, which is NOT TRUE.

Davido’s Timeless remains the fastest Afrobeats album to occupy all Top 17 positions on Nigerian Apple Music charts, with a record time of 6 hours.

2. Wizkid’s album debuted at #1 on Nigerian iTunes in 8 hours, the same record Davido had with Timeless in 6 hours.
However, Morayo has failed to have any song chart in the Top 5 on iTunes Nigeria after over 15 hours of its release.

Davido’s song with Nicki Minaj is currently number one, and Nicki Minaj has 4 songs in the Top 5 on iTunes Nigeria.

3. On Spotify, Wizkid’s Morayo has all its songs in the Top 20 Charts but has failed to dethrone Davido’s Awuke from #2.

4. Wizkid’s album reached #1 on the UK Apple Music chart, a record that is also held by 4 other Nigerian musicians, including Burna Boy and Davido.

Davido’s Timeless remains the fastest Afrobeats album to reach #1 on the UK Albums Chart.

5. Wizkid’s album is now charting at #4 on US Apple Music, and hopes of it moving further are slim as Kendrick Lamar has just released a brand-new album expected to debut at #1 in the next few hours.

Davido’s Timeless reached #2 on US Apple Music Charts in less than 20 hours of its release.
