If you believe that someone made N1bn last year from selling Kuli kuli, then you didn’t learn anything from Ovaioza.

Facebook people love investment scams. In fact this space has become so boring and free of investment scams that people are now actively looking for where to be scammed again.

If it was Dufil Prima foods, Dangote or a national food brand that did a N1bn declaration for selling kuli kuli, I’ll understand and possibly believe.

Because they have the distribution network, money for marketing and production capacity because let’s all admit it, Kuli kuli is not a national delicacy.

I haven’t used my eye to see kuli kuli in over 5 years and haven’t eaten it in over 15 years. In fact, today is the first time in several years I’m even hearing the phrase “kuli kuli” yet someone is saying they made over N1bn from selling it in 2022 and their proof is a WhatsApp message bank statement.

I once helped someone on this app with transport and decent hotel for two nights to come for a job interview in Abuja all the way from Port Harcourt. The person didn't want to come at all but I convinced them that Abuja would be good for their career. The alternative the person had was Lagos and we both agreed it is a city for mad people.

Person got a job, relocated and started working. Person didn't even tell me that they had even started working until I checked on them one day. Since then, whenever I check on the person, the person will complain either about accommodation, transport or one thing and another and try to bill me for it but each time, I resisted the billing because I had already done a lot.

One day, it got so tense that I had to tell the person that I'm tired of checking on them because it always ends in an attempt to bill me, you won't believe the response I got.

This person said it was my fault that they moved from Port Harcourt to Abuja because if I didn't encourage and support them with transport and hotel, they probably would have still been in Port Harcourt in comfort and I should not check on them anymore if I wasn't going to help.

You'd think I have something personal with the person for this audacity they displayed.

Anyway, I learned my lesson. Leave people in their places of comfort and mind your business. True true, na my fault, If I had told her that since she doesn't have transport, she should forget about the interview, nobody for dey blame me.

And this is another reason I've deleted messenger. Before I go help person wey go blame me in the future.

Mine was inside a taxi going to Area 1 from Kubwa. This beautiful and well spoken lady and I were connecting and I collected her phone number when she got off at Berger then she held the driver's neck with her two hands because of N50 change he didn't want to give her.

When the journey continued, the driver and everyone else were insulting her for her bad behaviour and giving me one side eye as if na my wife because we were gisting throughout the journey.

I had to join them and throw in one "She dey crase" for peace to reign.

One time, I was toasting one babe, I asked her what happened to her ex and she told me a story of a devil who wanted to take her life, an evil person and abuser who destroyed her dreams.

As God would have it, her ex and I had a mutual friend who saw this girl on my WhatsApp status when I wished her a happy birthday. He asked about the nature of my relationship with her and i told him the truth so he gave me the ex’s phone number.

I found out that the girl I was toasting was a thief and he broke up with her because she attended an o**y party. There were several screenshots of her admitting to the allegations.

Anyway, as a reasonable person, I stopped toasting her immediately and told her that we should remain friends and she promised to invite me for the next o**y party. Make everything no loss. 👍

I once went on a blind date when Port Harcourt mall was newly opened and the woman came with her three children. I almost fainted.

I initially thought that she was babysitting and didn’t want to come alone until I heard them calling her “mummy mummy” up and down. I wanted to cry.

They were very lovely children so I began to wonder why in all the times we had spoken and chatted did she forget to mention that she had 3 children.

Anyway, 10 minutes later the children were jumping up and down my body while she was smiling and encouraging them and passersby were doing “awwn so cute” for us.

"Uncle Nnamdi, buy me this, uncle Nnamdi, buy me that"

I was still a broke boy then so my ATM card was obviously laughing at me when I told the waiter that I would have only water while my guests were digging deep into their chicken wings and breast.

When the children were running around, I found one small window to ask her why she never mentioned the fact that she has 3 children.

She smiled away the question and continued eating her chicken breast while I ordered another bottle of water because I was having chest pain from the bill that was coming.

One of her cute boys ran to hug me with the chicken wing in his hand and ran away again and this woman was like "Awwn, they like you"

My wallet did not like this at all.

When we were done, I was walking them to the car park and she goes "I and the kids had fun. When should we do this again?"

I told her that I don't know, that I was leaving the country

I offered to drop them off with my 190 Benz but I was secretly hoping that she will decline because I had calculated the fuel I had and if I even enter one unplanned street on my way home, the fuel will finish.

Luckily for me she declined that she already had a ride coming to pick her.

Who? I asked.

Her husband.
