A lot of people do not consider colours when choosing an outfit, they do not realize that picking the right color is as important as picking the right outfit.
You might pick out and choose to wear an amazing outfit,but the color combo would just ruin the look altogether
So how do u decide what colors to wear when picking an outfit?
PS;.. I know you might say "this isn't important" or " it doesn't matter much"... But wait until someone tells you you're looking like a banana in that bright yellow dressπ or people keep asking you if someone just died, with that all black you decided to wear..
Questions to ask while picking colors for an outfit are;
* what is/are your favorite color(s)?
* What color dominates your wardrobe the most? Do you have a particular method you use to style your clothes according to these colours? Or do you just do a random selection?... ...
Here are a few guidelines on how to mix colors according to your style, taste, preference, mood or event...
Colors are primarily chosen based on skin tone
Dark skin would stand out in light colors
Light skin would Glow in Dark/dull colors
Brown skin could go either ways (this is a very complicated one) This is where I Introduce the Color wheel method.
While the Color wheel method is Necessary for persons with Brown skin, It is also Very Useful to Other skin tones, as it improves your fashion sense of mixing the right colors.
The color wheel is anchored by three primary colors that form a triadic color scheme. In the traditional RYB color model, these primary colors are red, yellow, and blue. You can mix the primary colors to form secondary colors: green, orange, and purple. Mixing a primary color with a secondary color results in a tertiary color: magenta (red-purple), vermillion (red-orange), amber (yellow-orange), chartreuse (yellow-green), teal (blue-green), and violet (blue-purple).
Now these are just the colors that form the wheel, there is still a major factor that must be Acknowledged
