When NATO murdered Muammar Gaddafi, Western media called it "Military intervention" and they no longer bother to report that the evil military action led by Obama has left Libya in worse condition.

George Bush and Tony Blair lied that Saddam Hussein has weapon of mass destruction just to invade Iraq. After they destroyed the country and captured Saddam Hussein who was consequently executed, Bush said "We do not know whether or not (Iraq) has nuclear weapon." Both men who engineered a tragedy that took over 250,000 lives are not even facing trials for war crimes. Western media do not paint them in bad light as it ought to be.

Western media will not tell you that Ukraine has been forcing Luhansk and Donetsk regions to be part of it, in spite of vast majority of the people choosing to be independent via a referendum. What they want you to believe is that Vladimir Putin is bullying innocent Ukraine for pleasure.

Western media will not tell you that trampling on Ukraine's sovereignty is not Moscow Kremlin's main aim but survival against US-led NATO's encroachment, with the insistence on admitting Ukraine into NATO after allowing other Eastern European countries: Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia to join.

America can recognise the independence of Taiwan but Russia cannot recognise the independence of Luhansk and Donetsk.

America can recognise Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel but Russia cannot take back its people in Crimean Peninsula after they voted to join them.

Western media want you to believe that the West is always right while Russia and China are the perpetual bad guys.

ARE WE YOUR SLAVES?

On March 1, the heads of 22 foreign missions to Islamabad, including those of EU member nations, issued a joint letter requesting Pakistan to back a UN General Assembly resolution denouncing Russia's special operation in Ukraine.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan slammed Western envoys visiting his country's capital Islamabad who called on Pakistan to denounce Russia's special military operation in Ukraine last week, asking if they thought Pakistan was their "slave," Reuters reported upon his response on Sunday.

"What do you think of us? Are we your slaves ... that whatever you say, we will do?" Khan remarked while speaking at a political event.

As the UNGA was voting to adopt a resolution condemning the Russian special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, Pakistan abstained from voting, and so did its political rival in the region, India.

"I want to ask the European Union ambassadors: Did you write such a letter to India?" Khan said, per the translation.

Khan also reportedly said that Europe has failed to condemn India over Kashmir, a mountainous region where Pakistan and India have fought two wars.

The prime minister added that Pakistan had suffered as a result of its assistance to the NATO alliance in Afghanistan, and that instead of thanks, it had received condemnation.

Khan and his administration were criticized after going ahead with a visit to Moscow in late February shortly before the special operation in Ukraine was declared, and meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin just hours after the operation's launch.

On Sunday, however, Khan reportedly said that Pakistan is "friends with Russia, and we are also friends with America; we are friends with China and with Europe; we are not in any camp." He went on to say that Pakistan would remain "neutral" and collaborate with those working to end the Ukraine conflict.

What is holding Nigeria down is not bad leadership or corruption or language or religion.

Please let us not mix things up.

I have been an advocate of Nigeria being broken up into different smaller countries to be more effective. But I repeat that speaking Igbo or Hausa or Yoruba or English or wearing isiagu or buba or babariga or suit or bearing an indigenous name like Azuka Onwuka or a foreign name like John Emmanuel has nothing to do with making a country great technogically. There is no evidence of that from any country.

If the whole of southern Nigeria were to be a country, despite having different ethnic groups, languages, cultures, and speaking English as national language, southern Nigeria would excel ten times more than Nigeria because the Igbos, Yorubas, Urhobos, Ijaws, Edos, Efiks, Ibibios, etc share core values in life which include love for Western education, love for freedom of religion, love for merit, love for competition, love for Western type of modernity, love for capitalism, love for entertainment, etc.

If the North were to be a country (especially Northeast, Northwest and a part of North Central), it would do much better than Nigeria.

The reason why Nigeria will not work is not because we speak a foreign language or practise a foreign religion or wear suits. It is because the core life desires of the North are opposed to the core life desires of the South (some of which I listed above). So it is virtually impossible for Nigeria to move forward because of those opposing views of the South vs North (especially Northeast and Northwest) on critical life issues.

Therefore, what is holding Nigeria down is not bad leadership or corruption or language or religion. It a clash of two aggressively opposing civilisations that have no meeting point. Ironically, those two opposing civilisations have also refused to sit down and discuss how to manage those opposing worldviews, so as to see if something good can come out of a terribly bad situation.

Nigerians know this truth, and even state this point in their privacy, but from one year to another, as Nigerians sit down and watch Nigeria flounder and get worse, their only weapon is to lament, pray and hope that someday there will be a miracle that will transform Nigeria!

But can someone please remind me what the Bible says about faith without work?

Nigerian President avoids Abuja house in the UK to escape Protesters.

It was learnt from some of the protesters that Buhari, who left Nigeria on Monday to attend the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021-2025 in the UK, was not sighted at the Abuja House, raising suspicion that the President had diverted to a private mission.

Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, in a release on Monday had said the president would remain in London for two weeks to enable him undergo his earlier scheduled medical checkup.

“We are at the Abuja House in London; we have stationed here since Buhari left Nigeria to continue the protests, because Nigerians cannot be suffering insecurity, bad governance and all and the President will be hibernating here.

“But Buhari did not come here. We don’t know where he is staying,” a source stated.

“Let Nigerians in London fish him out. We want to know where Buhari has privately gone to. He needs to know that Nigerians in UK are eager to meet him and send him back. He cannot escape our protests,” another London-based Nigerian stated.

In 1913, Lugard wrote a letter to the Secretary of State for the Colonies for the establishment of port Harcourt. Port Harcourt was founded in 1912 by F. Lugard, governor of both the Northern and Southern Nigeria Protectorate. Its purpose was to export the coal that geologist Albert Ernest Kitson had discovered in Enugu in 1909.

Juventus and Portugual striker Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for coronavirus, according to the Portugal Football Federation.

He was expected to play for Portugal on Wednesday against Sweden in the Nations League but will now self-isolate, and is currently showing no symptoms.

He will also miss games for Juventus until he returns a negative test for the virus.

The 35-year-old forward's international teammates have all returned negative tests.

Italy now requires 10 days of quarantine, and Juventus are due to play Barcelona in the Champions League in 15 days.

IGP BANS FSARS, OTHER POLICE TACTICAL SQUADS FROM ROUTINE PATROLS
- As Police Arrest 2 FSARS Operatives, 1 Civilian Accomplice in Lagos State
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has banned the personnel of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) and other Tactical Squads of the Force including the Special Tactical Squad (STS), Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Anti-Cultism Squad and other Tactical Squads operating at the Federal, Zonal and Command levels, from carrying out routine patrols and other conventional low-risk duties - stop and search duties, checkpoints, mounting of roadblocks, traffic checks, etc - with immediate effect. In addition, no personnel of the Force is authorized to embark on patrols or tactical assignments in m***i. They must always appear in their police uniforms or approved tactical gear. The IGP’s directives come against the backdrop of findings by the leadership of the Force that a few personnel of the Tactical Squads hide under these guise to perpetrate all forms of illegality, contrary to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Code of Conduct and Rules of Engagement establishing the squads.
Specifically, the IGP has warned the Tactical Squads against the invasion of the privacy of citizens particularly through indiscriminate and unauthorized search of mobile phones, laptops and other smart devices. They are to concentrate and respond only to cases of armed robbery, kidnapping and other violent crimes when the need arises.
The IGP notes that the FSARS and other Police Tactical Squads remain a critical component of the Force in confronting prevailing and emerging violent crimes in the country. He however condemns every act of unprofessionalism, abuse of human rights and high-handedness by some personnel of the Squads. He has therefore ordered the X-Squad and the Monitoring Unit to embark on immediate and massive nationwide monitoring of activities of Tactical Squads and other police officers on the road.

President Trump announced in a tweet early Friday morning that he and his wife Melania have both tested positive for the novel coronavirus. “We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately," he wrote. "We will get through this TOGETHER!” The news came just hours after it was reported that Hope Hicks, a close adviser to Trump who traveled with him aboard Air Force One several times this week, had tested positive.

The president’s physician, Sean P. Conley, wrote later that Trump and his wife “are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.”

ISWAP fighters ambush Borno gov’s convoy, kills 15 security personnel and many critical conditions

Jihadist fighters linked to the Islamic State group on Friday killed 15 security personnel in an ambush on the convoy of the Borno State governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, three security said.

Sources told AFP that eight policemen, three soldiers and four members of a government-backed militia were killed in the attack on vehicles carrying Zulum near the town of Baga on the shores of Lake Chad.

The insurgents opened fire with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades as the convoy was passing through a village close to the headquarters of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), a military coalition of troops from Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroon.

“The governor escaped unhurt but 15 security men on the convoy were killed in fierce battle with the terrorists”, one source said.

Zulum was on an assessment tour of Baga in preparation for the return of thousands of residents displaced from the town by the jihadists in 2014, the sources said.

The governor flew on a helicopter into the garrison town of Monguno, 60 kilometres (40 miles) away, and headed to Baga in a convoy under tight security, one of the sources said.

All three sources were talking on condition of anonymity.

The IS-affiliated Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) group maintains most of its camps on islands in Lake Chad and the region is known as a bastion for the jihadists.

It was a moment of joy and celebration as 57-year-old Elizabeth Yamoah completes her junior secondary school certificate examination.
As the saying goes, age is never a barrier when you’re dedicated to achieving something. Shortly after finishing her junior high school exams, photos surfaced online showing her fellow students celebrating with her.
Many people who felt touched by her commitment to being educated took to social media to comment positively on the development. Elizabeth Yamoah shared her joy and happiness with other students at Agona Odoben pressby JHS on the blissful day her examinations were completed.

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich for at least £20m, plus £5m in add-ons, on a four-year contract.
Thiago, 29, joined the German giants from Barcelona in 2013 and played in last season's Champions League final victory over Paris St-Germain.
He is set to wear the number six shirt at Anfield.
Thiago would be the Premier League champions' second summer signing, after
Greece left-back Kostas Tsimikas.
The £20m will be paid over the length of Thiago's contract and the extra £5m will depend on the Reds winning the Premier League and Champions League success.
When asked about a potential move for the Spaniard last week, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said: "I cannot end speculation as long as the transfer window is open.
"It is nice that we are linked with him but that is pretty much it really. It is because he is a good player and Liverpool is a big club, so that is nice."

BUHARI DIDN'T JUST DIVIDE NIGERIA, HE KILLED HER
In 2015 I said Buhari WOULD divide Nigeria, you didn't believe me.
In 2017 I said Buhari HAD divided Nigeria, you didn't believe me.
In 2019 I said Buhari had pushed Nigeria to the BRINK of disintegration, you didn't believe me.
Today I say unless Buhari retraces his steps and we build bridges between ourselves there will be no Nigeria left by 2023, you do not believe me.
At every point over the last 5 years my words have proved to be prophetic, I have been proved right and I have been vindicated.
Those that doubt my admonitions, counsel and words do so at their own peril and frankly it takes NOTHING from me one way or the other. It is the message that matters and not what you think of the messenger.
The bitter truth is that the greatest catalyst for the disintegration of Nigeria and the most useful and prized gift to those that believe Nigeria ought to break up into pieces is Muhammadu Buhari. He has done more for their cause than any Nigerian living or dead.
He has served their purpose very well because he has not only totally divided Nigeria and destroyed our country's sense of national cohesion and unity but he has also butchered her, hacked her into pieces and buried her in many different locations!
A precious egg called Nigeria was placed into his hands in 2015 but he has crushed its shell, broken its spirit and destroyed its soul.
Today you see and hear hundreds of thousands of sons and daughters of the South West, led by men and women like George Akinola and Shola Salako, proudly marching and demonstrating in the streets of the capitals of many of the western powers demanding for the right of self-determination and the establishment of the sovereign and independent state of Oduduwa.
Today you see and hear millions of Igbo youths all over the world, led by titanic warriors and formidable men like Nnamdi Kanu.

MAN KILLS NATIVE DOCTOR, CLAIMS GOD SENT HIM TO DO SO
IgbereTV reports that the police in Anambra state have arrested a self-acclaimed clergyman identified as Uchenna Chukwuma, 21, for allegedly killing a 60-year-old native doctor, Oliver Chukwudi Ugwu, in Umusiome, Nkpor, on Thursday, September 3.

The spokesperson of Anambra State police command, SP Haruna Mohammed, said men of the Ogidi divisional police station were alerted immediately after the incident occurred.

Police detectives arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect who during interrogation, said he was sent by God to kill the deceased native doctor. According to the police, the suspect said the native doctor was disturbing him spiritually and has not allowed him to progress financially.

Haruna Mohammed added that the victim was rushed to the Iyi Enu hospital Ogidi for medical attention where he was certified dead by the medical doctor on arrival. His co**se was deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.

Haruna Mohammed said the machete used in perpetrating the crime was recovered as an exhibit and that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka for discreet investigation in order to unravel the actual circumstances surrounding the incident.

A 46-year-old man, Sunday Alexander, of Lokoja Street, Otukpo, Benue State, has been arrested by the police for allegedly impregnating his 14-year-old maid.

The suspected ra**st, who is a motorcyclist, was alleged to have forcefully had carnal knowledge of the girl several times in June 2020.

An activist, Mrs Julie Okoh, who reported the case at the Otukpo Police Station, said the suspect was married with five children.

Okoh, who took custody of the victim, said the suspect’s wife confessed that she caught him in the act once.

She said, “A neighbour of the victim gave us the information and we went to the house located on Lokoja Street, Otukpo.

“The man, an okada rider, has five children; his last child is five months old.

“The wife confirmed that she caught him sometime in June this year, when she heard strange sounds from the maid’s room.”

Okoh, who said the case had been transferred to the command headquarters in Makurdi, commended the Otukpo Divisional Police Officer, who she said had zero tolerance for r**e cases.

The suspect, who spoke briefly before he was taken out of the house by the police, confessed to the crime.

He said, “My name is Sunday Alexander; the girl is 14 years old and she is my maid. It is true that I slept with her.”

The Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, Catherine Anene, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said she had yet to receive the report.

Igbere TV reports that Kalu, Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate and former Governor of Abia State, arrived Minna on Monday for a visit to his political leaders.

OUK, as fondly called by supporters and political associates, arrived the 'power' state at exactly 2pm alongside political friends, associates and aides.

The Senate Chief Whip is currently meeting with Babangida, after which he will proceed to the home of former President of Nigeria and Military General, Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Igbere TV reliably gathered that Senator Kalu is billed to also visit the homes of Governor of Niger state, Abubakar Sani Bello and Emir, Etsu of Lapai, Niger State.

A Thirty-five (35) year-old teacher, identified as Ibrahim Mohammed has been arrested by operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for allegedly sodomising two of his underage students.

The NAPTIP Zonal Commander in Kano, Shehu Umar confirmed this while speaking with newsmen on Friday.

Umar said, the command on a tip off arrested Mohammed for turning his students to s*x machines.

According to him, “We, on the 25th August, received an information that one Ibrahim Mohammed was having unlawful canal knowledge of his two under-aged students (Almajiris) seven to nine-years-old at Unguwar Kadawa, Kwanar Dillalai Quarters Kano.

“We swung into action immediately after we got the information and we arrested the suspect while the two victims were rescued. The victims will also be united with their parents. “The suspect is married and has been an Islamic teacher for the past seven years.

Death Sentence!
Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has promised to reintroduce serious punitive measures of death for reckless drivers in the state following the accident that claimed 16 lives on Wednesday evening.
The accident occurred when a truck lost control and rammed into four vehicles conveying supporters of Matawalle along Gusau/Funtua Road.

The governor made this known when he led his cabinet members and the management of BUA Group to a condolence visit to the Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello, on Saturday.

He announced a donation of N2m to families of each of the deceased, who had a wife and N1.5m to families of those unmarried among them.

The governor further declared that he will put the next of kins of each of the victims on a monthly allowance of N50,000 each.

He said his administration will introduce speed limit gauge on highways as well as weight measurement on trucks and drug tests on drivers in order to guard against rough and reckless driving, which usually ended in fatalities.

Matawalle noted that the measures had become necessary so that drivers and their families will no longer think they will have it easy if they kill anyone, adding that the lives of citizens of the state were more valuable than any other thing.

He urged management of BUA company to call their drivers to order and caution them on acceptable speed limit.

Actor Chadwick Boseman, who played Black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown before finding fame as the regal Black Panther in the Marvel cinematic universe, died Friday of cancer, his representative said. He was 43.

Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, his publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press.

Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago, his family said in a statement.

"A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much," his family said in the statement. "From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and several more — all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honour of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther."

Boseman had not spoken publicly about his diagnosis.

Nigerian Senate To Pass Social Media Bill Despite Rejection By Nigerians

The Protection from Internet Falsehood and Manipulation and Other Related Matters Bill 2019 popularly known as the social media bill, is one of the bills before the Nigerian Senate led by Ahmed Lawan.

SaharaReporters gathered that the Nigerian Senate has concluded a “signed, sealed and delivered” plot to pass the social media bill once the it resumes plenary on September 15.

According to a top source in the Senate, who pleaded anonymity, the upper legislative arm is determined to pass the heinous bill despite the immense rejection by majority of Nigerians.

“They have already concluded plans to pass the bill. They are going to hide behind the COVID-19 issue and other national issues and pass the bill without delay. Their plan is to do it once they resume. It is already signed,” the source told SaharaReporters.

Recall that SaharaReporters reported that the social media bill was rejected by majority of Nigerians during the public hearing of the bill in March.

It will also be recalled that the bill had been rumored to be an “executive bill”, thus making its passage non-negotiable by the lawmakers, who have shown that they were willing to support anything from the presidency.

When asked whether the Senate’s plan had always been to pass the bill without considering public opinion, the source told SaharaReporters, “I am not sure about that, but they believe that Nigerians will accept it and move on the same way they have accepted the Broadcasting Code.”

The reviewed Broadcasting Code was recently passed into law for media organizations in Nigeria.

The reviewed code increased the fine for hate speech from N500,000 to N1m among other things and has already been used in sanctioning Nigeria Info, a radio station, following a recent interview in which a guest criticized the government on one of its popular programmes.

Afenifere, Yoruba leaders Others unanimously Reject Control Of Amotekun By Nigeria's Inspector-General Of Police

Commander of Ondo State Security Network Agencies, Adetunji Adeleye, said the Amotekun Corps cannot be subsumed under the guise of community policing by the Nigerian Government.

Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has rejected plans by the Nigerian Government to use the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to determine and control the structure of Amotekun and other security outfits in states.

National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, disclosed this while speaking with Rising Sun History on Wednesday in reaction to a statement credited to Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.
