Who’s A Mentor?
Often time I see people mistakes mentorship to buying a course created by the person they look up to in their area of interest.
Some people also made the mistake of going for high valued mentors when they are still at level one (newbies) without huge capitals.
Yes, every high valued mentors has different courses to different level of students. But know this, no high valued mentor will have time for you when you invest in that his/her $997 courses.
They probably already automated the courses so you follow them properly, and the best you can get is some hired support who will always point you here or there but will never practically help.
So, who is a mentor?
A mentor is someone who teaches or gives help and advice to a less experienced and often younger person.
This implies that you must have access to call them, ask any questions during business hours, even get them to take practical actions on your behalf if necessary.
( if you can’t have that, then his just your idol, not a mentor)
Now, why will “you” a newbie with zero influence who have maybe $500 to $1000 to invest in a mentorship—will go and buy a course of a mentor who’s doing $100k month and think he will have time for you?
No he won’t. To get such mentors attention, you’d need to invest $10k/month to even have few one on one sessions with them in that month.
So, how do you chose a mentor?
The answer is will be based on your level and your influence on the field you want a mentor.
If you are a newbies with below $1000, what you need is a mentor who’s still young in the field you are in and he is doing good.
At least, he’s having results of $2k, $5k or $10k month in such fields (that’s if it’s make money niche). Those are the mentor who will break every doors and barriers when you pay $500-$1000k for their mentoring programs.
A mentor who’s doing 7 to 8 figures monthly will probably charge you over $1k per hour sections and, “as a newbie, such are not the type of mentor you want to buy $1000 course from because, you will only have the value of course not his time or helps.
And when you are stock with the practical part of the course, you’d have access to a hired support who will not even be ready to go deep into the matter.
I hope this helps you make a right decision when choosing a mentor. A high valued mentor has all you need to succeed faster, but may not have your time if your investment is below his hourly section.
