One of the most common questions we are asked when presented with a concept or an idea is ‘how much does this cost?’
Except you have fixed prices for certain services, this is often a difficult question to answer straight away, and a lot will be considered like:
Cost, Time, Expertise, Resources, etc.
A much more useful question to ask when commissioning a project will be “what does this idea look like at this budget?’
Everyone desires to maximize the use of their money. It is however necessary to work with a budget to ensure that the priorities of the projects are identified and that the money is spent where it matters most.
In cases where the clients budget is way below what is required for the job to be done, you can gladly say no before you get into something that will “choke you".

In 2012, he started Mavin Records and had one desire for Mavin Records – to make Mavin records a “production powerhouse of African music,” a fit he has achieved. Mavin Records has captured the world’s attention and it’s home to Africa’s most talented musicians. The musicians have dozens of awards, hit singles, brand endorsements, and other accolades. The label is home to recording artists such as heisrema , Dr SID , D'PRINCE , Ayrastarr , Korede Bello , Di'Ja , LADIPOE , Johnny Drille , Crayonthis Mavins
He has also worked with notable international acts like Jay-Z, Kanye West and Beyonce.
Don Jazzy is already a success and a force in the music industry and as a smart business person, he expanded his business portfolio. He ventured into oil in 2013 with his younger brother by establishing Mavin Energy Limited. The company specialises in the supply of petroleum products such as diesel, petrol, kerosene, cooking gas to homes and companies.
He partnered with Nigerian technology expert, Dele Odufuye to launch Flobyt Wifi in 2017. Flobyt Wifi is a free wifi service installed across partnered locations in Lagos State and will help Mavin music lovers stream their favourite songs.
Don Jazzy is the maestro of music production, singing and business. But the easy-going Don Baba J has one weakness — obsession with Rihanna. He has never hidden his love for the “Umbrella” singer from Barbados and has made lots of photoshop images of him with her. Recently, images surfaced of a heavily pregnant Rihanna and A$AP in Harlem, New York. Don Jazzy responded with these words "It is finished".
