HYPREP should be investigated - Dr. Douglas Fabeke

We demand for a review of Ogoni clean-up process because it lack the standard as recommended by The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and we demand immediate dissolution of the HYPREP Board because of the mismanagement of fund meant for the project, and they should be investigated because their are stolen fund in different bank account and properties worth of Billions of Naira acquired by some board members, beside the 300million dollars compensation must be recovered.

I have never said the FG should scrap the Agency.

The Nigerian lady on world Guinness Book of record on wigmaker Williams created the world’s longest handmade wig in July 2023, measuring 351.28 metres (1,152 ft 5 in) 🇳🇬 💇‍♀️

Helen spent 11 days and over two million naira (£2,031; $2,493) making the wig! 💰

After constructing the underlay with wig-cap netting and black fabric attached to a bicycle helmet, she completed the hairpiece using 1,000 bundles of hair, 12 cans of hair spray, 35 tubes of hair glue, and 6,250 hair clips! 🤯

“Finding the materials to make the longest wig was not an easy task,” Helen said. “My experience as a wigmaker helped a lot.”

According to CCECC, The track laying from Port Harcourt to Aba on the Nigeria Eastern Narrow-Gauge Railway project has been completed.

The Nigeria Eastern Narrow-Gauge Railway, which stretches over 2044.1 kilometers, connects the second largest port, Port Harcourt, with the northern city of Maiduguri, passing through 12 states and numerous major cities in the eastern, Central, and Northern regions.

Former Golden Eaglets coach, Sebastine Brodericks-Imasuen, who led the Eaglets to win the inaugural U-17 World Cup in 1985 is reportedly d£ad.

Open Letter to Ogoni People My dear brothers and sisters, Having served you some few years ago in the capacity of the President of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni people (MOSOP), I am constrained to write to you at this hour. We are at a critical juncture in our inexorable march to freedom and liberation. You may forgive me, if I am somewhat emotional about what I am going to write to you in this missive, I am an unrepentant Ogoni man. From remembered times, Ogoni was never defeated in any war by any ethnic group. This was the reason our ancestors were able to keep the most fertile and productive part of the Niger Delta for us, a land brimming with all that nature has got to provide. Even the colonial invasion of the British could not penetrate Ogoni easily because our gallant forefathers fought them with ravenous ferocity until the great Battle of Deeyor in 1914 which made Ogoni one of the last frontiers to fall to the fledging hammer of British militarism and adventurism in Nigeria. British administration remained haphazard until the early thirties. Hence, Ogoni did not participate in the first General Elections of 1923 conducted following the introduction of the Clifford Constitution of 1922 named after Sir Hugh Clifford, the then Governor General. The 1946 Richards Constitution introduced regionalism into the Constitution and corralled Ogoni into the then Eastern Region which began the political domination of the Ogoni people and other ethnic groups in the then Eastern Region. Within this period, Ogoni leaders fought and got an Ogoni Native Authority created for the Ogoni people under the Eastern Region. The ruling party in the Eastern Region was the NCNC. The Father of Modern Ogoni Nation, Hon. Timothy Paul Naakuu Birabi was elected on this platform to represent the Ogoni people in the Federal House of Representatives. Ogoni domination and marginalization continued to fester and became stronger after the death of the lone voice, Hon. Birabi. Th
