Update on the Bodija Incident:

Clearing of ground zero has begun with more earth-moving equipment deployed to the site.

So far, 131 people have visited the Emergency Operations Centre to register that they were affected by the blast.

If you have any friends or family members unaccounted for since the incident, please call the EOC on 07049948057 or 08147672009 to report or visit the EOC at Oyo State Housing Corporation, Bodija.

The investigation of the incident by the security agencies is still ongoing.

Further updates will be provided in due course.

I learnt something quite sensitive and simple about the so called Turaki Of Ilorin, his endearing kind gestures and his cool and collective nature has been a recurring source of headaches to his naysayers and traducers. Making many gunning around with pettiness shrouded with hypocrisy about him!

Many asked about the source of his wealth, making vicious attempts to blackmail him into submission, yet, he remain unwavering to the rising tide of cheap politicking against his personality.

Turaki, resourceful, yet unassuming and I was filled with joy to see many standing tall for his defense and some sitting idly on the fence. Karma is a bitch.

The Turaki that I know will definitely represent his good people in the coming election, and he'll surely deliver his task properly-being not strange to him, the act of doing fantastic contributions to society.

Dear Kwara youths, irrespective of your political affiliation, kindly dig the hole of enmity a bit, the one 'Pharaoh' dug resulted to his own death.

As the day passes on, the name Turaki keeps ringing in people's brains being known as a philanthropist par excellence.

He's doing well with his wealth. Ilorin and Kwara as a whole are very proud to have him in this period of hardship where he makes his philanthropist gesture to every doorstep.

Turaki of Ilorin has never held public position or appointed position in his entire political career and he has innumerable palpable achievements he can point out to his competency.

He is a philanthropist who has been using his resources to soothe and relieve the less privileged people in the society and also on many communities for visible developments including the ancient home of a boy who recently talked bad about Turaki.

We must appreciate this commitment, not only because it is the right thing to do, but because of our belief that there is life after every election which will brings us together. We cannot shun our righteousness simply because we seek victory at all cost.

Let the rats at home hear and inform the ones at the farm. TURAKI IS THE CANDIDATE TO BEAT.

To this end, I urge Mallam Saliu Mustapha to keep up the good work and I pray Allah in His infinite mercy continue to bless him and people who put the masses first abundantly.

Pay-On-Delivery: Police Trackdown Notorious Robber of Online Vendors

Going by an old saying that, "Everyday is for the thief, one day is for the owner", a day of reckoning has come for an alleged unrepentant online robber.

The suspect, 44-year-old Olumide Agboola, currently in police custody, was said to have severally dispossessed unsuspecting vendors by placing orders online, only to rob his victims at the point of delivery.

His cup of criminal acts got filled to the brim recently after dispossessing his victim of her personal Infinix Hot 9 mobile phone, assorted fabrics, underpants and singlets she went to deliver to him.

According to the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, total value of the items amounted to N193,000.

His arrest, Hundeyin said in a press release, was sequel to a painstaking investigation launched by detectives attached to the Makinde Police Station, after a number of reports were received about his activities, adding that, "Different CCTV footages at his various crime scenes have aided in the irrefutable identification of the suspect".

On how he succeeded in his nefarious acts, the PPRO said: "Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect’s modus operandi was to pose as a genuine buyer on social media platforms, order items and request vendors to supply the items at designated hotels, where he would then rob them".

With his arrest, the police have commenced
investigation as to recovering other stolen items from his previous operations.

Gunmen Kill Lagos Council Boss' Aide

Francis Olagoke Oguntulu, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area chairman, Kehinde Oloyede, has been shot dead by some armed men at a party.

In a statement from the media office of the LG boss on Sunday, it was revealed that Oguntulu was shot at and axed on Adeyemi street, Oshod, on Friday. Oguntulu died on Sunday morning from his injuries.

Mourning the deceased, the council chairman, Oloyede, said, "We have lost a loyal, jovial and everly friendly man to the cold hands of death. The death came to us as a rude shock. We appeal to the Lagos Police to unravel the cause of the death and ensure those behind the dastardly act are brought to book to serve as deterrent to those planning evil acts."

"As we mourn Goke, I appeal to our party men and women and all residents of our dear council to remain calm as we have asked the Police to investigate the matter. We will never leave any stone unturned in this case. We will work hand in hand with the Police in the course of their investigations to unmask those behind the act."

The late Oguntulu is survived by aged parents, his wife, three children and siblings.

CRIME: TIME UP FOR A MAN OF 49 YEARS WHOM IMPREGNATE HIS OWN DAUGHTER, 14YEARS AND SUBSEQUENTLY TURNED HER TO A COMMERCIAL S*X WORKER

A 49 years old man, Amoda Bola was on the 17th of Aug 2022 arrested by men of Ogun state Police Command for impregnating his 14 years old biological daughter (name withheld).
The suspect, a resident of Idi Oro street, Ode Remo was arrested following a complaint received from the victim, who reported at Ode Remo divisional headquarters that her father with whom she have been living with for some years now have been having carnal knowledge of her.
She stated further that her father has also been inviting men to the house to have s*x with her after which the men will pay him money.
Upon the report, the DPO Ode Remo division, CSP Olayemi Fasogbon detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly Qarrested.
On interrogation, the suspect,who first denied the allegations later confessed when the victim confronted him. His confession led to the arrest of five others who have slept with the victim at different times on the invitation of the father.
The other suspects are; Ahmed Ogunkoya 30yrs, Muyiwa Adeoye 48yrs, David Sunday Solaja 69yrs, Emmanuel Olusanya 50yrs and Joshua Olaniran 50yrs.
All the suspects have confessed having carnal knowledge of the 14 years old girl and paid money to the father.
The victim, whose mother had separated from the father years back and have been living with with the father was practically turned to a pr******te by her father.
She has been taken to state hospital Isara Remo where it was confirmed that she is pregnant.
The victim has insisted that it was her father who is responsible for the pregnancy been the only person who slept with her within the period she got pregnant.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to anti humans trafficking and child labour unit of the state Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation and possible prosecution.
