LAWS OF MILITARY CAREER THAT CAN EQUALLY HELP YOU IN LIFE.
1.) Your rifle and your ammo are more important than your life. Better be dead than lose them.
2.) You can never be the winner in any argument with your superior. Even when you have won.
3.) Every commander needs your advice but not in public.
4.) If there is a competition, don't come first, and don't come last.
5.) Your soldiers are the backbone of your work. Treat them well.
6.) If you offend a higher authority, carry your cross.
7.) If your soldier offends a higher authority, carry his cross.
8.) Remember that the smartest and most intelligent officers often do not get to the top. Only the most loyal ones do.
9.) Don't be deceived. Many commanders do not like eye service.
10.) Never "contest" a woman with your superior. It is the fastest way to die and many have gone that way.
11.) The wife of your superior is either a goldmine or a landmine. If you are not sure of which she is, avoid her.
12.) Be brave. Even if you are a coward.
13.) If your superior admires your girlfriend, surrender her. If he admires your wife, stand by her. A girlfriend is an accolade. An accolade can be lost without dire consequences. Your wife is your crown. You are nothing without her.
14.) Don't ever beg for mercy. It is the foremost manifestation of weakness and the military environment has no respect for weaklings.
15.) Don't ever solicit for "welfare". If you are "issued", be very thankful.
16.) Don't look for your seniors. Let them look for you. If they look for you, don't keep them waiting.
17.) If you don't like a colleague, let him know you don't like him. If he takes steps to warm up to you, don't embrace him. Accommodate him.
18.) A lie is an abomination - and a critical part of initiative.
19.) If you are lucky to have stumbled on "mega" money, maintain your old lifestyle. If you can't maintain your old lifestyle, maintain a low profile. Camouflage and concealment are not only for the warfront. "Shine" is one reason things are seen.
20.) Remember that drinking, smoking and womanizing are prominent features of the job yet, no medals are allocated for them.
21.) Don't look too smart before your superiors. Instead, look stupid before them. People are generally comfortable with stupid people whom they can easily control.
22.) Wait for your time.
23.) Know that the enemy's degree of training is dependent on yours. If he is well trained, then, you are poorly trained. If he is poorly trained, you are well trained.
24.) You are a soldier. Not a priest.
25.) If you are tired of the job, resign.
26.) Never reject a gift from a superior except in protest of a salient point. It is the greatest indirect show of disloyalty.
27.) Do not chose where to be, but rather go everywhere you are deployed.

No reason for Nnamdi Kanu’s continued detention, says Peter Obi
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has called on President Bola Tinubu to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, and other freedom fighters in detention.
Obi said there was no reason for the continuous detention of the IPOB leader, especially as the courts of the land have freed him.
The former Anambra State governor made this call when he spoke to journalists on Saturday, in Onitsha, Anambra State, while also calling on leaders to double their efforts in tackling ins£curity, saying that if nothing was done, the country may slide into a fai|ed nation.
Obi, who also spoke on other issues, said, “I don’t see any reason for his continuous detention, especially as the courts have granted him bail. The government must obey the court.
The rule of law is an intricate asset that we must cherish and live with. I use this opportunity to plead with the Federal Government to ensure that all those who are in similar conditions are released and discussed.
“We are in a democracy, and we should not be doing things that are arbitrary and not within the law.”
He lamented the increasing ins£curity in the country, saying that Nigeria was gradually becoming a failed state if nothing was done urgently to salvage the situation.

PDP accumulated bills in Abia State University. PDP took 700 million Naira from the University purse enabled by the Vice Chancellor of the University,Maxwell Ogbulu in one day to sponsor their late governorship candidate, Prof. Uche Ikonne who was the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the University.
After running the institution down and looting funds meant for payment of staff salaries, PDP is now pressurizing Gov. Alex Otti to pay the salaries they looted without conscience.
It is the audacity for me 😂. People can be so heartless in this politics of a thing.

50 Lawmakers Write Tinubu, Want Invocation Of Section 174, Seek Nnamdi Kanu’s Release
About 50 members of the House of Representatives from different parts of Nigeria and political parties known as Concerned Federal Lawmakers for Peace and Security in the South-East, have appealed to President Bola Tinubu to invoke Section 174 of the 1999 Constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria (as amended) and Section 107(1) of Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015 for the release of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, from detention to aid the restoration of peace in the South-East region.
The lawmakers also appealed to President Tinubu to commence a presidential peace initiative to address all issues and challenges bedevilling the South-east region of Nigeria.
The requests were contained in a three-page letter signed by the lawmakers, dated June 19, 2024, and addressed to Mr President. The lawmakers included; Hon. Obi Aguocha (Abia), Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere (Imo), Hon. Aliyu Mustapha (Kaduna), Hon. Midala Balami (Borno), Hon. Afam Ogene (Anambra), Hon. Abiante Awaji-Inombek (Rivers),
Hon. Dominic Okafor (Anambra), Hon. Etanabene Benedict (Delta), Hon. Shehu Dalhatu (Katsina), Hon.Chinedu Emeka Martins (Imo), Hon. Matthew Nwogu (Imo), Hon. Muhammed Buba Jagere(Yobe), Hon. Peter Aniekwe (Anambra), Hon. Koki Sagir (Kano), Hon. Amobi Oga (Abia), Hon. Gwacham Chinwe (Anambra), Hon. Uchenna Okonkwo (Anambra), Hon. Abdulmaleek Danga (Kogi), and Hon. Osi Nkemkama (Ebonyi).

Lilian Obiageli Orogbu(Anambra), Hon.Marcus Onobu(Edo), Hon.Chinedu Obika (FCT Abuja), Hon. Billy Osawaru (Edo) , Hon. Ojuawo Rufus Adeniyi (Ekiti), Hon.Okoli Ngozi Lawrence (Delta), Hon. Ezechi Nnamdi ( Delta), Hon. Alozie Munachim Ikechi(Abia), Hon.Nkwonta Chris (Abia), Hon. Nnamchi Paul Sunday (Enugu), Hon. Obetta Mark Chidi (Enugu), Hon. Tochi Okere Chinedu (Imo), Hon. Uguru Emmanuel (Ebonyi), Hon.Joseph Nwaobasi (Ebonyi), Hon.Onwugbu Befford Anayo (Enugu), Hon.Atu Chimaobi Sam (Enugu), Hon.Sunday Cyriacus Umeha (Enugu), and Hon. Anthony Adepoju (Oyo).
They urged the President to direct the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, to invoke his powers of ‘nolle prosequi’ under the provisions of Section 174(1) of the Constitution and Section 107(1) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 and cause the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from detention and discontinue his trial in the interest of peace in the South-East.
According to the lawmakers, they believed such action was long overdue and would be instrumental in opening the door for much-needed conversations surrounding peace restoration and inclusivity as well as addressing the issues that led to the agitations in the South-East.
They recalled that the President extended this gesture through the office of the Attorney General in the charge involving Omoyele Sowore wherein, he was charged with treasonable felony in Charge No FHC/ABJ CR/235/2019, and Sunday Igboho and so on.
The concerned legislators lamented that the South-East was in turmoil and unsafe for various reasons, including breakdown of security, downturn of economic activities, families were running away from their homes and businesses were crumbling.
They, therefore, opined that fixing the challenges in the South-East would go a long way in changing the narrative and showcase Tinubu’s commitment to upholding the principle of Rule of Law, Justice and Fairness, which are the bedrock of democracy.
They also opined that it would also set a precedent for addressing issues through dialogue rather than prolonged political cm judicial persecution and pave the way for peace initiatives, economic revitalization and a renewed sense of belonging among the citizens of the South-East.
Expressing optimism on a positive response from the President, the concerned lawmakers added that this will enhance President Tinubu’s administration’s legacy as one that prioritises national unity, peace and progress.
The letter reads in part, “Your Excellency, We are concerned Members of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a strong belief and trust that the RENEWED HOPE agenda of His Excellency and the various positive reforms would be seen and felt by all. It is at the backdrop of the foregoing that we the undersigned hereby beseech Your Excellency to direct the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN to invoke his powers of nolle prosequi under the provisions of Section 174(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as Amended) and Section 107(1) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 and cause the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from detention and discontinue his trial which we collectively believe is long overdue and would be instrumental in opening the door for much-needed conversations surrounding peace reformation and inclusivity as well as addressing the issues that led to the agitations, especially at this time Nigeria is going through several Constitutional reforms.
“Your Excellency, we resolutely believe that this singular act can serve as a pivotal gesture towards national unity as it would address some of the Political, Security and Economic concerns in the region. It would encourage stakeholders from the Southeast to engage more actively in the national discussions on the Renewed Hope Agenda, thereby promoting inclusivity and addressing long-standing grievances. This we belief will also help in dismantling the apparatus of violence and restiveness that has plagued the region, allowing for a focus on economic growth and development. Also, . is coming at a time the nation-state is under enormous pressures, including but not limited to unemployment, insecurity, hunger and poverty, thereby deescalating tension from all sides.
“Moreso, we as key actors in the renewed hope agenda of Your Excellency are not unmindful of the fact that Your Excellency has extended this gesture through the office of the Attorney General in the charge involving Omoyele Sowore wherein, he was charged with treasonable felony in Charge No FHC/ABJ CR/235/2019, Sunday Igboho, etc. All these recorded tremendous successes, especially the crisis within the North-Central, North-Eastern, and South-South regions, not forgetting peace efforts in the Niger-Delta region, which have helped in so many ways. The establishment of the North East Development Commission, Ministry of the Niger-Delta, Niger-Delta Development Commission, Presidential Amnesty, Various Host Community Laws, etc were all commitments to show good faith to the plight of the people as well as resolving regional conflicts.
“It is therefore our conviction that fixing the challenges in the South-East would go a long way in changing the narrative and showcase your commitment to upholding the principle of Rule of Law , Justice and Fairness, which are the bedrock of our democracy. It would also set a precedent for addressing issues through dialogue rather than prolonged political cm judicial persecution and brass show of executive lawlessness. We, therefore implore your excellency to adopt this approach and save the south-east and pave way for a national conversation to restore, safeguard and better the resources and economic activities in the south-east. The primary responsibility of the government is the protection of lives and property. Facilitating the release of Nnamdi Kanu would demonstrate a commitment to upholding the principles of justice and fairness, which are the bedrock of our democracy.
“Your Excellency, the benefits of such a bold and compassionate act are manifold. It would pave the way for peace initiatives, economic revitalization and a renewed sense of belonging among the citizens of the southeast. It would also enhance your administration’s legacy as one that prioritizes national unity, peace and progress. We are hopeful that you will consider this request with the gravity it deserves and take the necessary steps to bring about a new era of peace and inclusivity in Nigeria. Thank you, your Excellency for your attention to this important matter and we look forward to a positive response.”
