IMPATIENCE

Pressure comes on us from all directions. From friends, family or fans in the environment we live in. It usually takes the shape of subtle comments and discussions by people on things we ve done, not done or will do.

Then we suffer when we allow these COMMENTS, or DISCUSSIONS get to us.

The consequences IMPATIENCE.

We begin to make effort unconsciously to over come this PRESSURE from within, bringing PAIN.

We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.

DISCIPLINE is essential if we must control our progress. REGRET is inevitable when we loss control of our progress.

To avoid the later, we must let impatience GO in order to be disciplined to keep control of our progress.

Never listen to any comments or discussions....... They bring IMPATIENCE....

ECO FRIENDLY, ECO SUSTAINABLE HOUSING..............!!!!

In Sub Saharan Africa, Our grand parents and great grand parents lived a more energy efficient, ECO FRIENDLY and ECO SUSTAINABLE lives than we are living today.

This stains from the fact that they lived a more cultural and traditional life. They lived a more ORGANIC life.

The houses they lived in were built out of TARCHED ROOF and LATERITE MUDDY WALLS.
These were structurally deficient, however, they were weather friendly and resistant. Due to this structural deficiency they had a good maintenance plan in place were the houses got renovated annually.
These houses were very COOL during day and at night, that at day time TEMPERATURE of above 40°c they moved from outside to inside the house. They never had ELECTRIC FAN, AIR-CONDITIONING, or REFRIGERATOR. They had COOL WATER from MUD POT.

This was pure ENERGY EFFICIENCY at work.

Today with our exposure to the WESTERN life style, we have been exposed to houses built out of SAND and CEMENT with METAL roofing material. These houses were structurally more efficient than our traditional MUD house, however, this resulted to the ABANDONING of our ANNUAL BUILDING MAINTENANCE CULTURE, with the thinking that these new structures were resistant to the effects of tropical weathering.

This we have come to LEARN was very DECEPTIVE.

TODAY, we have houses built of SAND ,CEMENT, CORRUGATED ROOF and NONE BREATHABLE finishing ...etc.

This implies that at day time temperature of above 40°c these houses become OVENS. WHY???

The ROOF and WALL absorb HEAT and transmit same to the ROOM making the room HOT and HUMID. The consequences are profuse SWEATING and DISCOMFORT in the room.

To bring some comfort to the room, a lot of energy is required to POWER, fans, air-conditioning, refrigerators.....etc.

This is very energy INEFFICIENT.

With the end of the fuel era starting with the PARIS agreement of 2015 and also with the 2030 UN's sustainable development goals in place.

It has become imperative to begin to invest in alternative TECHNOLOGY that are ECO FRIENDLY and ECO SUSTAINABLE, to enable our houses resist the harsh TROPICAL CLIMATE.

These technology are in the form of WATER/DAMP PROOFING of wall and roof, THERMAL/DEHUMIDIFYING/ACOUSTIC insulation of wall and roof and RESTORATION of old houses with INNOVATIVE products.
These are guaranteed quality which imply a reduction in energy required to bring comfort to houses.

Waste water or Sewage are byproducts of human activities, ie, eating, drinking, washing etc.

These products contain traces of indicators of human state of wellbeing and illnesses. These therefore become storage for harmful or infectious agents, ie, micrograms and toxins.

In subsaharan Africa and other under developed parts of the world, disposal or management of these byproducts vary, ranging from use of VIP TOILETS, TOILET BUCKETS, SEPTIC TANKS and DEIFICATION IN THE BUSH. SEPTIC TANKS are the most mordern of all however its tantamount to holding huge volumes of these products in the compound with an open connection to the toilets. The result of this is the free access of cockroaches, fly, rats, reptiles and micrograms to the living environment.

This method of management lives a trail of discomfort and exposure of the environment,ie, SOIL, AIR, WATER, to these harmful or infectious agents.

This huge stagnant storage without treatment means a long wait for the tank to get filled before its discharged. This takes years.

The consequences of long exposure to the environment to these can not be over emphasized, including pollution of SOIL,AIR,WATER, and spread of infections.

This is made worse by poor waste water or sewage infrastructure in these developing or underdeveloped countries.

To this end, it becomes import for attention to be given to development of waste water or sewage management infrastructure for institutions, towns and cities in these parts of the world.

One fact remains that the major difference between the developed world and the rest of the world is the state of the environment. Built around proper waste water or sewage and water management.

A well designed, controlled and managed waste water system means elimination of these harmful agents from our households and environment. This leads to an improved HEALTH, HYGIENE and WELLBEING.

At any point on the negotiation processes the direction point to a Win-Lose to either party.

I endeavor to archive a WIN-WIN for all as this ensures a cordial relationship for every one concerned.

IMPROVE YOUR ENVIRONMENT

Factors which expose our walls to fungal growth and degradation of structural integrity are ubiquitous.

These include exposure to factors of weathering / climate at rainy or dry season.

The walls absorb water and humidity during and after rain falls, thus exposing the sand and cement mortar and blocks to dampness.

The dampness increases the rate of degradation of the structural integrity thus breaking down the bonding on the wall.

The consequence of the effect of weathering on the structural integrity of the wall is the growth of mould and fungi which find nutritional value on the damp mortar or block leading to a wet and filthy environment and also the eventual collapse of the structure.

To protect walls from the effects of weathering, we need to make the walls weathering or climate proof.

This eliminates the exposure of the walls to these factors of dampness. ie, water and heat.

By doing so we enhance the structural integrity of the walls.

This leads to an extended life span of the structure thus an improved environment archived.

This also leads to an enhanced living standard and improved health and hygiene.
