The three significant things that happened around the period of conception and birth of Jesus Christ, "Angel instructing Joseph to take Mary as his wife", "Angel warning the three wise men not to go back to Herod", "Angel instructing Joseph to escape with the Child Jesus and the mother to Egypt", were all communicated through dreams.
If God used dreams to give instructions about His son, you should be mindful of your dreams as a Child of God. Although dreams are sometimes manipulated by evil forces, the spirit of God in every believer helps us to discern the dream that is a message From God.

Studying Matthew chapter 1 and I came to understand that " life is not about what you want but what God wants from you". Joseph had the plan to secretly divorce Mary because she was found pregnant with a baby before their marriage, an encounter with an Angel in the dream changed his plan(Obedience). This also calls to mind that in every plan you make, seek and consider the perfect plan of God first. God's plan might be different from yours but it is always for the best as He knows your end before your beginning.
