Biafra Prime Minister, Ubazuonu Hails Trump, Calls for Six New Republics in Nigeria

By Comrade Ijeomah Anthony, Minister of Information

OWERRI, November 01, 2025: The 6th Prime Minister of the Biafra Internal Government, Elder Virginia Ubazuonu, has commended U.S. President Donald Trump for declaring Nigeria a “country of particular concern” over rising Christian killings but urged the American government to take one more bold and decisive step, support the peaceful division of Nigeria into six independent republics.

Elder Ubazuonu made this known in Owerri while reacting to Trump’s latest statement on religious persecution and mass killings across Nigeria. She described the U.S. move as “a welcome development and a clear recognition of the painful realities that millions of Nigerians have endured for decades,” but insisted that “condemnation alone cannot heal a bleeding nation.”

According to her, the deep-rooted ethno-religious marginalization and political imbalance in Nigeria have turned the country into what she called “a colonial legacy now weaponized by a few ethnic powers to dominate others.”

“Nigeria is no longer a home for all,” the Prime Minister said. “It has become a battlefield where some believe it is their God-given right to kill others and seize their ancestral lands and resources. The only true path to peace is to divide Nigeria into six self-governing republics as proposed by Chief Dr. Ralph Uwazuruike.”

Elder Ubazuonu emphasized that America and the international community must go beyond sympathy and take practical steps toward a peaceful reconfiguration of Nigeria into six republics:

1. Biafra (South East)

2. Oduduwa Republic (South West)

3. Niger Delta Republic (South South)

4. Arewa Republic (North East)

5. Middle Belt Republic (North Central)

6. North West Republic

“This division will end the endless bloodshed, restore human dignity, and allow every region to flourish according to its culture, language, and destiny,” she noted.

The Prime Minister stressed that the Uwazuruike-led Biafra Internal Government remains committed to diplomatic engagement with global powers to ensure a non-violent path to self-determination and lasting peace across Africa.

“Trump’s recognition of Nigeria’s crisis is commendable, but the world must now act,” Elder Ubazuonu concluded. “The killings will not stop until justice is done, and justice means letting every nation within Nigeria breathe in freedom.”

Comrade Ijeomah Anthony, Minister of Information, reaffirmed that the Biafra Internal Government stands ready to collaborate with global partners in championing peaceful separation as the only enduring solution to Nigeria’s long-standing instability and human rights violations.

Uwazuruike Takes Imo Police to Court Over Invitation

By Comrade Ijeomah Anthony, Minister of Information,
18th October 2025

Owerri: In a bold reaffirmation of his long-standing commitment to peace and the rule of law, Chief Dr. Ralph Uwazuruike, founder of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and leader of the Biafra Independence Movement (BIM), has instituted legal action against the Imo State Police Command and the Nigeria Police Force over what he described as a politically motivated invitation aimed at curtailing his fundamental rights.

The suit, filed at the High Court of Imo State, Owerri Judicial Division, seeks the enforcement of his fundamental rights to liberty, freedom of movement, and peaceful assembly as guaranteed under Sections 35, 41, and 46 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Articles 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights (Ratification and Enforcement) Act, Cap 10, LFN 1990.

The case, filed through his counsel, Barr. M.O. Anyanwu of Fidei Deum Attorneys, Equal Right Chambers, Owerri, is between Chief Raphael Uwazuruike (Applicant) and ACP Oladimeji Odeyiwa (Commander, Tiger Base, Owerri), ASP John Ebute, ASP Eze Jet, Inspector Alice Zakari, the Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Police Service Commission (Respondents).

According to the originating motion, Uwazuruike is seeking, among other reliefs:

1. A declaration that the police invitation dated October 16, 2025, directing him to appear at the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (Tiger Base), Owerri, on October 20, 2025 — the same day slated for the nationwide peaceful protest demanding the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu — constitutes a gross violation of his constitutional rights to liberty and freedom of movement.

2. An order of perpetual injunction restraining the respondents and their agents from further harassing, inviting, or attempting to arrest or detain him over what he described as a “concocted allegation” of criminal invasion, forgery, and willful damage.

3. An order of compensation mandating the respondents jointly and severally to pay the sum of ₦100,000,000 (One Hundred Million Naira) as general damages for the violation of his fundamental rights.

In his supporting affidavit, Uwazuruike stated that he had lived peacefully in Owerri for years without any prior police invitation until after his public declaration on October 8, 2025, to join the peaceful protest for Nnamdi Kanu’s release. He deposed that the sudden invitation, delivered to his residence on October 16, was clearly intended to prevent his participation in the October 20 rally.

“I have not committed any offence by volunteering to join a peaceful protest,” Uwazuruike stated in his affidavit. “The invitation is a mere ploy to arrest, detain, and intimidate me because of my public stand for peace and justice.”

His counsel, in a written address to the court, argued that the police invitation violates the provisions of Sections 35 and 41 of the Nigerian Constitution, which guarantee personal liberty and freedom of movement, and that the timing of the letter “reveals a deliberate intent to restrict the Applicant’s civic and constitutional rights.”

“The action of the police, coming just days after Uwazuruike’s press statement in support of a peaceful protest, is unconstitutional, unlawful, and a blatant attempt to silence a voice of peace,” Barr. Anyanwu submitted.

Observers have noted that the case represents not just a personal legal defense but also a broader test of Nigeria’s commitment to fundamental human rights and democratic freedoms.

Chief Uwazuruike, known globally for his advocacy of non-violence in the Biafra self-determination movement, reiterated that his response would remain lawful and peaceful. “Peace is not cowardice,” he maintained. “I will continue to seek justice through legitimate and constitutional means.”

The matter is expected to come up for hearing at the High Court of Imo State, Owerri, in the coming days.

As the legal process unfolds, many continue to watch closely how the Nigerian authorities will respond — whether by upholding constitutional liberties or by deepening the culture of suppression against peaceful civic activism.

Imo Police Invite Uwazuruike to appear before Anti-Kidnapping Unit on October 20th as a Plot to Stop His Participation in Nnamdi Kanu Peaceful Protest

By Comrade Ijeomah Anthony, Owerri

In what many observers have described as a calculated attempt to stop him from participating in the forthcoming peaceful protest for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Nigeria Police Force has officially invited Chief Dr. Ralph Uwazuruike, the founder of MASSOB and BIM, to appear at their Anti-Kidnapping Unit in Owerri on Monday, 20th October 2025 — the same date the planned nationwide rally is scheduled to hold.

The police invitation, issued on 16th October 2025 and signed for the Commissioner of Police, cited an investigation into alleged “Criminal Invasion, Forgery, and Wilful Damage.” Uwazuruike was instructed to report at the Anti-Kidnapping Unit by 10:00 AM, with contact officers listed as ASP John Ebute, ASP Eze Jet, and Inspector Alice Zakari.

The development comes barely a week after Uwazuruike publicly declared his willingness to join the peaceful protest for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, describing it as a march for justice and dignity for the Igbo people. Speaking on 8th October 2025 in Owerri, Uwazuruike had stated with calm conviction:

“I will be part of any peaceful protest for Nnamdi Kanu’s release. This is not about Kanu alone; this is about our collective dignity as a people.”

His declaration, which went viral across social and traditional media platforms, drew widespread commendation from both Nigerian citizens and Biafrans, who hailed his courage and consistency in pursuing non-violent advocacy for justice.

However, according to Uwazuruike’s latest communication to the Minister of Information, Comrade Ijeomah Anthony, the timing and nature of the police invitation leave little doubt about its motive.

“I have no problem with the police or their invitation,” Uwazuruike said. “But it is clear they are only trying to prevent me from joining the planned peaceful protest on the 20th.”

Uwazuruike, who has long championed non-violence as the guiding philosophy of Biafra’s self-determination movement, emphasized that his support for the protest is rooted in conscience, not conflict.

Observers have pointed out that the police letter’s scheduling on the exact date of the planned rally raises serious concerns about intimidation and suppression of peaceful civic expression.

The planned protest, organized by concerned citizens of Nigeria and Biafrans, is expected to demand the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who has remained in prolonged detention despite multiple court rulings in his favor.

Uwazuruike’s invitation has since sparked public debate, with many describing it as “a deliberate distraction” and “a silent attempt to silence the voice of peace.”

As the date draws near, the world watches closely to see whether the Nigerian authorities will continue to use state power to stifle peaceful activism or respect the democratic rights of citizens to assemble and express themselves lawfully.

For now, Chief Dr. Ralph Uwazuruike remains firm — calm but unshaken — reminding all that peace is not weakness and that the quest for justice cannot be handcuffed.

“A father does not abandon his children,” he said earlier this week. “If standing for truth will cost me my comfort, then let it be. I will always stand with my people.”

Nigeria’s Unity a “Lie Built on Oppression,” Says Uwazuruike — Calls for Six Sovereign Republics

Founder of BIM-MASSOB Declares Only Peaceful Separation Can Guarantee Justice, Equity, and Lasting Peace

By Comrade Ijeomah Anthony
Minister of Information, Biafra Internal Government

Owerri, Nigeria — As Nigeria marks its 64th year of independence in 2025, Chief Dr. Ralph Uwazuruike, the leader of the Biafra Independence Movement (BIM-MASSOB), has renewed calls for a peaceful restructuring of the Nigerian state into six independent republics, claiming the country’s unity is a myth maintained by “blood and lies.”

Speaking during the July National Executive Meeting of BIM-MASSOB and the Biafra Government in Owerri, Imo State, Uwazuruike criticized what he described as a deeply flawed federation rooted in colonial imposition, ethnic inequality, and systemic injustice.

“You cannot build unity on blood and lies. We choose truth, and that truth is Biafra,” Uwazuruike declared during his address.

He maintained that the illusion of “One Nigeria” continues to serve the interests of a privileged few at the expense of millions, particularly in the South East, where sentiments of marginalization remain high. According to Uwazuruike, a reimagined Nigeria must be built on mutual respect—not coerced unity.

A Broken Union or a Business Arrangement?

Uwazuruike asserted that Nigeria’s challenges are not rooted in poor governance alone but in the foundational structure of the state itself. He proposed a peaceful and democratic division of Nigeria into six republics, each reflecting the country’s major geopolitical zones:
• Biafra (South East)
• Oduduwa (South West)
• Niger Delta (South South)
• Middle Belt (North Central)
• Arewa (North East)
• North West

“This is not a call to war,” he clarified. “It is a call to justice. A call for every ethnic group to shape its destiny, free from domination or marginalization.”

Uwazuruike highlighted several historical grievances, from the Biafran War to the 2003 extrajudicial killings of BIM-MASSOB members in Okigwe, and more recent acts of state violence in Aba and across the South East. These, he said, underscore the fact that what exists in Nigeria is not national unity, but “political occupation.”

Who Benefits From ‘One Nigeria’?

The BIM-MASSOB leader questioned the sincerity of ongoing narratives promoting national unity, pointing out that the country’s structure disproportionately favors certain regions and groups. He identified the beneficiaries of the current system as “the political class, religious elites, and northern oligarchs.”

“Let’s say it plainly: The unity of Nigeria is not a national ideal. It’s a business—one where the South provides the resources, and the North keeps the power,” Uwazuruike said.

He argued that the average Nigerian—whether from the Middle Belt, the Niger Delta, or the South East—has little to gain from a system he described as exploitative. He cited the contrast between Abuja’s grandeur and the dire environmental and economic conditions in resource-rich regions like the Niger Delta as proof of deep-rooted injustice.

Unity or Complicity?

In a strongly worded statement, Uwazuruike challenged religious leaders, politicians, and public figures who continue to promote the idea of a united Nigeria despite glaring inequities.

“Anyone still clinging to ‘One Nigeria’ at this point, whether bishop, emir, governor, or influencer, is either a coward or a collaborator,” he said.

He warned that silence in the face of oppression is not neutrality but complicity and called on the international community to understand the call for secession as a demand for dignity—not destruction.

A Peaceful Future Through Sovereignty

Uwazuruike concluded by emphasizing that the proposed six-republic model offers a sustainable pathway to peace, development, and stability.

“We are not enemies—we are simply different peoples forced together by colonial fraud. Let each man go with his destiny.”

“The call for division is a call for dignity. A call for freedom, not fire. A call for tomorrow, not trauma,” he added.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with mounting ethnic tensions, insecurity, and calls for restructuring, Uwazuruike’s renewed push for regional sovereignty adds to the growing debate over the country’s political future.

Whether or not his vision gains mainstream acceptance remains to be seen—but the questions he raises are unlikely to disappear any time soon.

As the burial of late former President Muhammadu Buhari holds on Tuesday (today), insights from his kinsmen, domestic workers, neighbours, and close associates reveal how he spent his last two years at his Daura country home after leaving office.

Buhari, 82, died in a London hospital on Sunday and will be laid to rest at his compound in Daura, Katsina State, today, closing the chapter of a life marked by service, humility, and compassion.

Before the burial, however, some of his staff members said Buhari was well-known for his compassion towards animals, especially his pets.

Some of his domestic staff reported that the former President cherished three tortoises aged 28 and 30, along with a great kiskadee bird that frequently visited them.

Uwazuruike Reaffirms Call for Nigeria’s Division Into Six Republics

OWERRI, IMO STATE — Leader of the Biafra Independence Movement (BIM) and the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has reiterated his long-standing position that Nigeria will eventually be divided into six independent republics, aligned with the country’s existing geo-political zones.

Speaking on Saturday during a monthly BIM-MASSOB meeting held at the Ojukwu Memorial Library in New Owerri, Uwazuruike insisted that the fragmentation of Nigeria is inevitable and consistent with a prediction he made 25 years ago. He also serves as a representative of the 46-member Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO), a global body advocating for marginalized groups.

“The country will ultimately dissolve into six distinct republics: South East (Biafra), South South (Niger Delta), South West (Oduduwa), North East (Arewa), North Central, and North West,” Uwazuruike stated, asserting that Nigeria’s history of ethnic tensions and political instability makes the current federal structure unsustainable.

A statement released by BIM-MASSOB Director of Information, Mazi Chris Mocha, cited multiple petitions sent to international bodies, including the UNPO, the United Nations, and members of the U.S. Congress. The petitions detail alleged human rights violations committed against BIM-MASSOB members over the years.

Referencing the March 29, 2003 incident in Umulolo, near Okigwe, Imo State—where hundreds of BIM-MASSOB members were reportedly killed—Mocha emphasized what he described as systemic repression of the movement’s non-violent activities. “The international community is aware and taking note. Nigeria’s record on human rights continues to draw serious concern globally,” the statement said.

Uwazuruike also cited a 2005 intelligence report by the United States military which forecasted a potential disintegration of Nigeria by 2015, attributing it to ongoing governance challenges and internal conflicts.

The BIM-MASSOB leader maintains that peaceful advocacy remains the group’s method, but insists that Nigeria’s continued unity is unrealistic given prevailing socio-political realities.

Buhari ordered then APC National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole to let Obaseki be and should stop witch-hunting him. He told Oshiomhole that Obaseki was a performing governor and deserves a second term.

Oshiomhole defied these instructions and still went ahead to disqualify Obaseki in the 2020 governorship screening he was overseeing.

Obaseki flew to the State House in Abuja and personally informed President Buhari the situation on things.

Buhari not only backed him, he told Obaseki to join whatever party he wants and promised not to interfere with "federal might". In fact, after that meeting in the State House, Obaseki gave a press conference INSIDE the State House and officially announced his decision to resign from APC, while still in A*o Rock.

Around 9pm of that same day, Oshiomhole was removed as APC National Chairman.

On election eve, Wike, as the campaign National Chairman, came to Benin and lodged at Golden Tulip hotel in Etete. Then, someone or a group of people from Abuja, ordered he be "house arrested". Immediately, the hotel was surrounded by over 200 police officers, i kid you not. Obaseki called the Presidency and they ordered all the police men to leave.

True to his word and promise, when election day came, Buhari did not interfere and instructed all parties involved not to interfere on his behalf either. He just said "let the best man win", massively disappointing not just Oshiomhole but some of his other party members, including National Leader Bola Tinubu.

For me, that is by far the greatest thing Buhari ever did for Edo state. He respected Obaseki so much that he took Obaseki to whatever economic summit he was going to, in any part of the world, even after Obaseki left APC.

The current and future presidents should learn from Buhari and put competence ahead of mediocrity, all in the name of Party loyalty

Suspected Thief Hides in Bank Ceiling, Allegedly Tries to Hack Systems Overnight

Panic broke out at a FCMB bank branch in Lagos after a suspected thief was found hiding in the ceiling, allegedly attempting to tamper with the bank’s systems.

Eyewitnesses say the man entered the bank during business hours and quietly locked himself in the restroom. From there, he reportedly climbed into the ceiling, remaining hidden until after closing time when all staff had left.

By the next morning, bank staff arrived to find a door mysteriously locked from the inside. After forcing it open, they were shocked to discover the intruder, who appeared to be meddling with some of the bank’s systems. Screens on some computers reportedly displayed unusual messages like “restarting, click ok to accept.”

In a now-viral video, the suspect is seen begging for mercy, claiming he acted alone.

Though the bank has yet to issue an official statement, several clips show the man being detained and handled roughly by security officials at the scene.
