VIDEO: Travellers Lament As Flood Takes Over Ore Highway Lagos to South East Road

A video has surfaced online showing how a flood overran a section of the Lagos-Benin Expressway in Ore, Ondo state, making the road impassable for motorists and residents.

As confirmed by our correspondent, travelers were stranded with their vehicles for hours on the road, Wednesday, and had to consider alternate routes because of the flood.

Speaking in pidgin English, a man could be heard in the video saying, "This is Ore heavy flood, Lagos road don close. Flood don cover everywhere for here, no road.

"No road for Ore, make una see the flood. Make them drill drainage, them no gree, stop the erosion, drill all the stream, Nigeria government say for where, nah to share money dem sabi."
