MY HEART BREAKING LOVE STORY
I still remember the day I met him Othniel. It was at a friend's birthday party, and his bright smile lit up the room. We locked eyes, and I felt an inexplicable connection. We talked for hours sharing laughter and stories. I was swept off my feet.
As the days turned into weeks, our bound grew stronger. We'd take long walks, have deep conversations, and explore the city together. Othniel became my rock, my confidant, my everything. I'd never felt this way about anyone before.
Six months into our relationship, we decided to take the next step: genetic testing. We wanted to ensure our compatibility before making long terms plans. I wasn't worried. I'd always assumed we'd be fine. The day of the test results arrived. Othniel held my hand as we walked into the doctors office. The doctor's words changed everything. Your genotype is AS and his is AS.
My world crumble. I felt like I'd been pushed in a gut. How could this be? We were meant to be together. Othniel's eyes mirrored my despair. We'd planned a life, a future, and now it seemed impossible. The risk of passing sickle cell disease to our children was too high. We left the doctors office in silence, our hearts heavy. We knew what we had to do, but neither of us wanted to say it out loud.
Days turned into weeks, and our conversations become straind. We couldn't bear the thought of living without each other, but our genotype made it impossible. One faithful evening, we sat on our favorite bench, holding hands. Tears streamed down our faces as we acknowledge the inevitable. " Othniel whisperd. " I love you too", I replied, my Voice trembling. We shared one last kiss, and our relationship came to an agonizing end.
AFTERMATH: The months that followed were dark. I questiond fate, wondering why we'd been brought together only to be torn apart. I felt lost, alone, and heartbroken.
But as time passed, I realized love knows no bounds, but reality dose.
