One Morning I’ll Never Forget! 😩😂

My husband wasn’t around that morning, and I was rushing like a headless chicken to beat time!
In the middle of the chaos, I dressed my children for school, or so I thought 😅

We were about to leave when my son bent to wear his shoes…
Omo! Shoe no gree enter leg 😭 I was like What is wrong with you this morning?
I bent down to help him only to notice this boy was wearing his sister’s sportswear!

And guess what? His sister too was rocking her brother's set with confidence 😂😂

I just stood there looking like so this is how ma*dness starts? 🤦🏽‍♀️
I almost cried but laughter won 😂

We finally got to school… LATE! But hey, we showed up! 😅🙌

To all parents rushing every morning , una dey try abeg! 🙏

I can remember those moments! Once that first rain hits the ground, Aku don begin show face😄. Those flying termites wey go dey jam every bulb for the compound, na real sign say rainy season don land proper!

In different Nigerian local languages, these termites have unique names:

Igbo: Aku

Yoruba: Esunsun

Hausa: Kudan zuma

Efik/Ibibio: Nnuyo

Tiv: Ityough

Idoma: Ewuche

People dey even gather them with basin under bulb or just sweep am when e don full ground. Then the frying part, with palm oil, pepper, onions, and a bit of salt chai! The aroma alone fit wake your neighbor 😋. It's crunchy, tasty, and protein-packed.

When you remember you born 6 children, paid hospital bills for 4, and never received even biscuit as push gift 😭…

As if that pain no do, your Oriaku husband no dey let your toto rest. Just 2 weeks after delivery, he don dey whisper, "Baby, doctor say make you dey active o…"

Meanwhile, on Mother’s Day, na only "To the mother of my kingdom" with throwback belle picture he go post. No alert, no shawarma. And yet some of them are giving a negative opinion on a freezer push gift 😩😂.

Next thing, they rent the most expensive shop in the costliest plaza just to be sampling lip gloss and posing with ring lights 💄📸

I don’t just go around tagging people “my friend” like it’s a giveaway title. 😒

Friendship is serious business to me.
In fact, sometimes friendship hits deeper than family, loyalty, support, and peace of mind.

Just because we’ve gisted a few times, worked in the same office, or taken one or two selfies together doesn’t mean you’ve earned the “friend” badge. 🤷‍♀️

Acquaintance is a word too. Use it. 😂
