SPEECH FROM Omooba Adeola Adeyeye Kijipaoro IN HONOUR OF HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY OONI ADEYEYE ENITAN OGUNWUSI, OONI OF IFE

Your Imperial Majesty, Royal Fathers, Esteemed Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today, I stand before you with deep reverence and immense pride as I pay homage to a monarch whose presence radiates wisdom, peace, and cultural renaissance—His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife.

The throne of Oduduwa, which he occupies, is not merely a seat of royalty. It is a sacred symbol—an ancient emblem of Yoruba identity, tradition, and civilization. As the 51st Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty walks in the footsteps of ancestors whose legacy spans centuries, yet he does so with a vision firmly fixed on the future.

Oba Adeyeye Enitan is not only a custodian of Yoruba culture but a bridge between generations. Under his reign, we have witnessed a remarkable revitalization of traditional values, arts, and knowledge. He has elevated the global visibility of Yoruba heritage and brought honor to the sacred city of Ile-Ife—the cradle of the Yoruba people and the spiritual heart of a nation.

Born with a spirit of enterprise, intellect, and compassion, the Ooni has used his influence to champion youth empowerment, unity, and economic development. He is a monarch of innovation—merging ancient wisdom with modern insight, bringing new relevance to timeless truths.

A peacemaker and unifier, Kabiyesi has extended the hand of brotherhood across Nigeria and beyond, embracing diversity and urging the nation toward peace and cohesion. His words carry the weight of history; his actions inspire hope for the future.

Kabiyesi, we salute your courage, your humility, and your tireless efforts to uplift your people. Your reign is a blessing to the Yoruba nation and to all who value culture, peace, and progress.

As I celebrate you today, we reaffirm our respect, our loyalty, and our prayers.

Long may you reign in wisdom, in health, and in divine guidance.

Kábíyèsí o! Alase ikeji Orisa.

At some point you have to forget what other people think about you. Nothing you do has to make sense to anyone else. Your dreams don’t have to align with what others claim is best for you because you’re the one dealing with the consequences of your actions.

Start prioritizing your happiness above being a people pleaser. It’s your turn to become the main character of your story.

At the world Egungun Festival in Ibadan with my baba, Araba Ifayemi Elebuibon.

While growing up, we were taught that Egungun is evil and against God's purpose for creating us not knowing these were all lies and false allegations just to render our revered heritage useless.

Never again shall we allow religious bigots to destroy our heritage again with false allegations.

Egungun is our pride, ara orun kinkinkin, mo ṣe bá o.

Kabiesi ọje o....

Our Cultural heritage must never be neglected.
