Day 3 - Side Hustle Jobs

3. Blogging

Let's face it: blogging is not a get-quick-rich side hustle business. As a beginner, you won't start a blog today and start making money in 30 days.

It takes some time to build a blog to the point it starts making money—maybe six, eight, or even twelve months and above.

Still, blogging is one of the best side business ideas to help you retire from your 9-5 day Job and live a life of time, financial freedom, and comfort.

But you'll have to put in a lot of work upfront before you can start generating income.

In summary, here's what you need to do to start your blog today: 👇

Step 1. Brainstorm on a marketable idea. This can be an audience segment with a particular problem(s). It can also be a trending topic, business topic, entertainment, health, technology, etc.

Whatever it is, ensure the topic has high demand in the market. Many people are searching for it, and there is enough money in the niche.

You can use keyword tools to validate your idea. Some of the best keyword tools for that purpose include Semrush, Rank Tracker from SEO powersuite, and Ahrefs.

I advise you to use Rank Tracker if you're a beginner. The free plan is more generous than the other two.

Hint: You can even start a blog about your passion. But that passion must be marketable; otherwise, it won't make you money.

Step 2.

How do you intend to monetize the blog? In other words, what's your strategy for making money on the blog?

You must map your blog monetization strategies out clearly because, to a large extent, your monetization methods will influence your content publication strategies.

If you run an affiliate marketing blog, your keyword strategy will differ from someone managing a blog with Adsense.

Likewise, a blogger who sells products/services directly will approach content differently.

It's important you think about this step critically because it will shape many aspects of your blogging strategy.

Step 3. Build your blog.

Let's save time here so this article won't become a newspaper (too long).

To build your blog, you need two things: Web Hosting and a domain name. Both of which cost money to purchase.

Namecheap, Hostinger, and HostGator are some of the best web hosting and domain name registration providers you can trust.

Visit any of these providers to register your domain name and get hosting.

You can build your blog yourself. There are lots of YouTube tutorials to help you. Or you can hire someone to do it for you.

Step 4.

Start writing content and publish it on your blog. Without content, nobody will visit your blog.

Write high-quality content that helps your readers solve a particular problem in your niche. The more content you publish, the more traffic you can drive.

Be consistent, and promote even more than you wrote.

Step 5.

Monetize your blog based on your outcome in step 2. Remember, your content strategies should align with your monetization methods.

2. Become a Freelance Writer

Freelance writing has been one of the most sought-after digital marketing services on the web for ages. The demand for content is ever on the rise, and so are freelance writers.

But, writing for the web is not the same as writing in high school or writing to your loved ones (you know, gf, bf, and so on...😅). Writing a good copy for the web takes practice, skills, experience, and industry knowledge.

You must be familiar with digital marketing and your industry to create content that generates leads, sparks engagements, and builds a business. It is not about putting some random thought together; it is about knowing what you must achieve with your copy and how to convey the message to your audience and move them to the desired action.

On average, freelance writers earn between $30 - $1000 per piece of content. I know writers who charge even more for a piece of content. Seriously...

However, since you're a beginner freelance writer or yet to begin, your first task is to brush up on your writing skills and learn what it takes to create content that ranks in SERP (Don't bother if you don't know that acronym), generates leads and sales, and helps businesses achieve their goals.

There are several resources on the web to help you. I strongly recommend you follow the advice and read these blogs (CopyBlogger by Brian Clark and Smart Blogger by Jon Morrow) if you want to become a good writer.

The knowledge and experience you'll gain from following the advice and tips on these blogs are immeasurable.

Personally, I read these blogs when I started blogging back in 2012. So, you can imagine the wealth of information you'll find on these blogs today. They have published many helpful materials that help beginners navigate their writing careers more clearly and confidently.

As you build your writing skills and gain more confidence in yourself, you can start pitching businesses and marketers for writing gigs. One piece of advice: If you don't go out to market yourself, no one will come for you.

Business is about marketing; nobody will buy you if you don't sell yourself. If you need that side hustle money so badly, go out and market your writing services.

Research keyword relevant to the affiliate products you want to promotes. Go for keywords with less competition- 200 - 500 monthly search volume is okay for a new blog.

Write high quality content around the keywords. Publishe multiple posts discussing about the products from different angles and user experience.

Note: The Key to a successful affiliate review post is experience. You are one step ahead of the competition if you have real user experience with the product.

Your content will be more helpful and share practical experience than others.

Next thing you must do is content promotion. You must promotes the hell out of the content to drive maximum traffic to it.

Use social media, paid Ads, SEO, and your newsletter subscribers to promotes your content.

If your content is relevant and help people make the right decision, you'll make regular affiliate sales.

For some days now my clients JessyIfy Munch And Crunch have been trying to connect her WhatsApp Business number to her Page...

She keep saying she's unable to receive a code...
I put her through to all the various ways she can connect it but all is not working....

So today I asked her to send me a message via the WhatsApp business number...

Guess what She opened a WhatsApp business account with One number and she's imputing another number for Facebook to Verify so she unable to receive the code that will verify her number..

I pin point out what she's supposed to do.
