As at Today .

*$1 = ₦1456
*£1 = ₦1904
*€1 = ₦1885

*ATTENTION*

*In case you don't know the root cause of our problems today, please take time out and read below:*

*44years ago, precisely on 25/07/1980 the exchange rate was:*
*$1 = 0.80k*

*Are you surprised?*

*Well, we were far more productive in 1980 than we are today.*

*In 1980 the key rea*ons for economic growth were as follows:*

*1. We were a net exporter of refined petroleum products. Today we import all our refined petroleum products.*

*2. We rode in locally assembled cars, buses and trucks. Peugeot cars in Kaduna and Volkswagen cars in Lagos.*

*3. Leyland produced trucks/buses in Ibadan and ANAMCO in Enugu also produced buses and trucks.*

*4. Steyr in Bauchi produced our Agricultural tractors. And it was not just Assembly, we were producing many of the components:*

*5. Vono products in Lagos produced the vehicle seats.*

*6. Exide in Ibadan produced the batteries, not just for Nigeria but for the entire West Africa.*

*7. IsoGlass and TSG in Ibadan produced the windshields.*

*8. Ferrodo in Ibadan produced the brake pads and discs*

*9. Dunlop produced Tyres in Lagos and Michelin Tyres were produced in Port Harcourt. And I mean tyres produced from rubber plantations located in Ogun, Ondo, Old Bendel and Rivers State.*

*10. We were listening to Radio and watching television sets assembled in Ibadan by Sanyo.*

*11. We were using refrigerators, freezers and Airconditioners produced by Thermocool and Debo.*

*12. We were putting on clothes produced from the UNTL Textile Mills in Kaduna and Chellarams in Lagos. They were Not from imported cotton but from cotton grown in Nigeria.*

*13. Our water was running through pipes produced by Kwalipipe in Kano and Duraplast in Lagos .*

*14. Our toilets were fitted with WC produced in Kano and Abeokuta.*

*15 We were cooking with LPG gas stored inside gas cylinders produced at the NGC factory in Ibadan.*

*16. Our electricity was flowing through cables produced by the Nigerian Wire and Cable, Ibadan; NOCACO in Kaduna and Kablemetal in Lagos and Port Harcourt.*

*17. We had Bata and Lennards Stores producing the shoes we were putting on. The shoes were not from imported leather but from locally tanned leather in Kaduna*.

*18. We were mainly flying our Airways, (the Nigeria Airways), to most places in the world. The Nigeria Airways was about the biggest in Africa at the time*.

*19. Most of the foods we ate were grown or produced in Nigeria*.

*We were producing all of the above and many more in 1980*

*Today, we import almost everything. Isn't that alarming?

Today our debt profile is crazy

*There lies the source of the terrible exchange rate we are experiencing today and everyone reading this has a critical role to play in reversing this very UGLY trend.*

*We have been talking about these problems and more for ages.*

*It is not enough for us to complain about the exchange rate or point out what others are not doing or are failing to do. The key questions are:*

*1. What are we producing now?*

*2. What role are our so-called Leaders/ Politicians of today playing?*

*We are forever shying away from responsibility whereas it is a stack reality and if we don't deal with it, it won't go away. In fact it will get worse*.

*To our dear Politicians, if you don't have the capacity to RESET Nigeria to what it was at least back in 1980 then please stay in your house and don't waste our time.*

*Let everyone of us go back to farm no matter how small*

*ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !!!*
*Please share widely on all platforms for Nigerians especially youths to know the critical role to play in fixing NIGERIA.*

Young Dolly Parton lived in a cabin with her family of 14 & bathed in the nearby river. Today, she spends her millions on those in need. 🙏
Dolly Parton was born in a one-bedroom cabin in rural Tennessee. Her dad was a sharecropper who couldn't read. As the family grew, the older children got more responsibilities, and Parton, the fourth of 12 children, had to look after her younger siblings.

The kids didn't even have their own beds, and they slept three to four in a bed. They spent most of the time outside because the cabin was too small for them to hang out comfortably. The space outside served as an extension for sharing meals, entertainment, and playing games.

Parton has always been open about discussing her humble beginnings or how this influenced her views on life. She came from a large family with limited resources, so she is familiar with the challenges of being poor.
In fact, fans love Parton for her singing and unique glam-country queen image. They also love her for her generous soul. She spends much of her income on philanthropy efforts, focusing on education, health, and disaster relief.

Update o'clock.

Okwula miii !!!

As tomatoes wear agbada enter a*o rock and they want to kill our Sunday rice culture that has been how from time imo river,
we co remember say this year slogan na no gree for anybody no bi even for tomatoes

I have been seeing cucumber stew everywhere oooo.

So this weekend I decided to try it...

Men and brethren, I was asking why I never knew of this all this Stew🤔

The taste is another unique thing I love so much about this Stew.

Whether their is tomotoes or not, we have come to stay.

Make una they give update on time now 🤣🤣🤣

Ngwanu let me give my fellow late commer update.

I used 3 sized cucumber

2 small satchet or thin tomatoes

Vegetable oil

2 sizable Smoked fish and eggs (you can use any protein of your choice )

Fresh paper and langalanga or tatashi

Fresh curry leaves

Enough onions

I love using crayfish ooo for my stew

Galic and ginger..the aroma of this two oooo😍

Sea*oning cubes

Method of cooking ✍️

Grind you peppers keep aside

Wash your cucumber and slice it, remove the seeds if you want, make sure that it's not bitter.
Blend and drain the water out to have the chaff. The chaff is what you will use for your Stew.

You can use pineapple and the cucumber juice you extracted to make sweet juice too.

So, After draining it, start by frying your onion with salt, the satchet or thin tomatoes and add your drained cucumber chaff. Continue to Fry until it dry out the remaining liquid in the cucumber.

When you noticed that it has formed a unified tomatoes paste continue from there. Make your Stew the way you used to make it.

It might be too thick after, add water according to your desire to loosen it.

For me, I love it oooo🤣

This is really beautiful and taste so nice.

Procrastination is the biggest enemy of growth.

You'll say tomorrow.
Tomorrow you'll say in the evening.
In the evening you'll say next tomorrow.

And the circle will continue.

I've been there!
It's not a good place to be.

Most times it's just a product of the fear of the unknown.

These days, I don't even give my brain the chance to think about procrastination.

Whenever there's something to do, irrespective of the time, I get on with it.

It was harder at first, but I've gotten better at it.

And to be honest, it has helped drastically improve the outcome of my life.

I'm glad you shared this, ma'am.

We don't always have to wait for tomorrow while today is still with us.

Let's get on and moving, right now!

To our growth!

THE 3 PATHWAYS TO GETTING A HIGH-PAYING JOB

(First written in 2019 and now shared again)

Dear young Nigerian, there are only 3 ways that I know, to get a 'well-paying' job in Nigeria.

Loads of us claim to be searching for jobs, but, we do not fall into any of these 3 categories.

In my opinion, if you are more aware of these 3 categories, you will decide very quickly in life if you can get a 'well-paying' job or settle for an odd job or venture into entrepreneurship.

1. Fresh graduate jobs- You are no more than 27/28 years old; you are a smart graduate who made some good grades out of school. You are competitive enough to write entry-level tests and pass. You speak and write very well, your IQ level is above average, you have some basic IT skills. You are what we call, a sharp young person.
This is the first way.

2. Experienced hire jobs - You started a career as a fresh graduate some years ago. You have grown in career and experience. You have good knowledge and experience in a particular field. You are able to change jobs, in your field, accross different companies. The more you move, the more you earn. Each new job offers a higher position and more earnings. You are growing nicely in your career and heading to the top. Between 40/45 years, your ability to move accross jobs may reduce, except it is for very executive roles; so you might begin to plan a nice exit from career. You command official cars and all sorts of official pegs.
This is the 2nd category.

3. Skilled hire - you are not in the category of 1 or 2 above. You simply developed a very highly sought skill and got into the career market. For example: you became an Instagram genius and got a job as a social media manager in a bank. Your skill is in high demand. More and more companies are seeking for you. They dont even care if you had a 3rd class in school. Your job is based on results. You have a record of getting 20,000 people to signup a form in one week. Your results speak for you. People even call you often to grab some side kicks. A lot of tech guys fall here.
This is the 3rd category.

So, my dear brother that is carrying CV around, do you fall into any of these 3 categories?

If you dont, it is nothing wrong. My only question is: are you well aware of your other options?

You are 38, never worked in a formal company and you wake up one day and carry CV. Are you aware of your options? Have you thought very well through those options and chosen the very best for you.

Listen, you can lie to the whole world, but never lie to self. Sit quietly in your room and explore your options very well. Stop going around telling everyone that your elder brother has refused to get you a job, when you know you are 39, with no skill, no prior job, no experience. Your brother is not a miracle-maker. Life has its rules.

Oya, sit down now and start thinking and re-aligning your life. Do you need to learn a skill? Do you prefer to offer yourself to intern for free? Do you want to take up an odd job? Do you want to become a monk and serve God without worrying about earning?

Make your choice truly and work out your plans. Decisions are best taken with proper information, so, now you know better.
Guess what -there are so many opportunities available for you, you can explore them and make magic out of your life.

I hope this helps someone out there.

THE HUSBAND I ASKED GOD FOR

I remember those days as a single girl, I would sit with my friends and we would talk about the kind of husband we wanted.

I was always the odd one out.

My idea of a husband was just a man who loved God deeply and loved his home,
A very kind man

finish.....

I asked God for a man with no male vices - No drinking. No smoking. No womanizing. No late nights. No pressure from the boys.

I just wanted a simple man with deep rooted family virtues and immense love for God.

Alas, God delivered my package just as I asked.

I am so grateful that I cannot relate with the many scary husband-tales that I hear today.

I just know that I have a solid strong pillar who plays as both husband and my father.

Happy Father's day my darling Sunny Odogwu.

Christ is my firm foundation
The rock on which I stand
When everything around me is shaken
I've never been more glad
That I put my faith in Jesus
'Cause He's never let me down
He's faithful through generations
So why would He fail now?
He won't, He won't

I've still got joy in chaos
I've got peace that makes no sense
So I won't be going under
I'm not held by my own strength
'Cause I've built my life on Jesus
He's never let me down
He's faithful in every sea*on
So why would He fail now?

He won't, He won't
He won't fail, He won't fail

Rain came, wind blew
But my house was built on You
I'm safe with You
I'm gonna make it through

Oh, rain came, wind blew
But my house was built on You
I'm safe with You
I'm gonna make it through

Yeah, I'm gonna make it through
'Cause my house is built on you

Lol... There is this trend on tiktok
It's says " if you cannot press money, clear "
This is quite laughable because there are so many ways, a man whether he is romantically or not, related to you, can be of great help to you... For instance

Recommend you for a good paying job

Patronise your business ( if you have any )

Give you a headstart in life ( could be teaching you how the financial market works and helping you gain good 😊 ), getting you a prop firm account or even funding your trading account, including you to web 3 jobs etc...

Giving you publicity for your business (if he have influence on SM)

Give your realistic business ideas etc

There are some men, who prefer to do this... Than throw few notes at you...

MEN NEED TO LEARN ABOUT WOMEN

1. Women fall in love with words. Words communicate your intentions and why you do what you do with her. Which is why it is important for her to hear you say you love her. Verbalize affection

2. Women stay in love when your actions match your words. This is why she begins to doubt your verbalized affection if your actions are not consistent

3. Women dream revealing dreams and have insticts to protect themselves and their family. Sometimes God will communicate to your woman through dreams or strong insticts about the wrong you are doing or when danger is coming towards you or the children. Pay attention to her

4. If you want to love a woman long-term attend to her emotions. Money, gifts and your good physique might excite a woman for sometime, but ultimately the woman wants a companion, someone who will be responsible with and attend to her emotions

5. Women are actually not complicated. She wants the simple things in life: attention, respect, kindness and thoughtfulness

6. A hurt woman might push you to see if you will fight for her. Her pain makes her run away easily, she expects you to abandon her just like the others did. Show her you are different. Give her stability and assurance and it will help her heal

7. Women prefer to be dumped than to be led on and played with. She can handle the truth. Be courageous enough to tell her you are no longer interested in her instead of giving her false hopes. She would rather be hurt with the truth than to be kept with a lie

8. Women respond well to love and become shaken when neglected. A loved up woman responds back with love but when you make her insecure, she will become frustrated and withdraw

9. Women make love with their heart. Don't expect great s*x and regular love making from your wife if you don't treat her right

10. Don't always be quick to advise a woman. Sometimes all she needs is for you to listen and in talking with you, she will find the solutions from within

11. Being domineering and a male chauvinist will work against you. Respect is not demanded, respect is attracted when you treat her the way you want her to treat you. It is in your best interest to value her, the man who loves his woman loves himself

12. When you fail to protect your woman she will protect herself against you. Don't be her enemy, she might love you but still put walls to keep you from hurting her

13. Women too want the joy of being there for someone. Allow her to be love by you, to be there for you and support you. A woman who doesn't feel needed or that she adds no value sees no value in the relationship/marriage

14. Women too have goals, dreams and a purpose. Don't fight her growth

15. Women like to be watered. When you nourish her with love and care she will present herself to you in a pleasant way. A loved up woman doesn't nag or quarrel

16. Women hold back opening up when they feel unsafe or ridiculed. Give her a safe refuge in you where she can talk without feeling judged or made to feel petty

17. Women need clarity so that they invest. When you seem unsure she will not give you a hundred percent. Have no dark areas.

18. Women needs to have a say in their relationship... It's partnership not a slavery.

19. Every woman values and respects your mother, don't put her in a situation she has to feel disrespected by mother.

20. Women also desire to build their empires ... Be her pillar of encouragement always.
