Just In: Onyeka Onwenu Dies in Lagos Hospital

Legendary Nigerian singer, Onyeka Onwenu, 72, slumps and passes away after a performance at a party in Lagos.

The music icon reportedly d!3d on Tuesday night, July 30, at Reddington Hospital, Lagos. 🏥

She was 72.

According to a family source, Onwenu was at Fidelity Bank MD, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe’s birthday party when she performed.

After her performance, she returned to her seat and suddenly slumped. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Onyeka Onwenu, born on May 31, 1952, had a career that spanned over four decades. 🎶 She was not only a renowned singer and songwriter but also an actress, journalist, and politician. Her first album, "In The Morning Light," was released in 1984.

Some of her most popular songs include “One Love,” “Iyogogo,” and “Ekwe.” 🎵

May her soul rest in peace.

When they start saying things like 'I don't think I'm good enough for you. You deserve someone better,' usually it's because they're done using you, or they've found someone new. Someone who doesn't know them like you do and is not asking the questions you're asking. Someone who can not see their lies, someone who hasn't yet experienced their deception.

Why didn't they realize they weren't good enough for you when they were using you and devouring your essence - whether that's your resources for men or your body for women? Some women will stay with a generous man until she has accumulated resources, and then she leaves him with these lines of 'you deserve better' to go and enjoy life with people she truly loves. As for men, he will start throwing these insulting lines after wasting your entire dating period and even making you a single mother!

You shall now allow these kinds of users to go away scot-free. Let them pay the price by taking responsibility for anything you created with them. If it's a child, give it to him. If it's a joint business, take all of it away. Do not reward their dishonesty by letting them waste both your time and your money. Protect yourself.

Of course, this doesn't suggest harming someone physically. That's pointless, and it could land you behind bars. Rather, aim and getting what is rightfully yours and not being used as a stepping stone by someone who also disorganised your life so badly.

Giovanni Battista Bugatti, born on March 6, 1779, in Senigallia, Marche, Papal States, served as the official ex*****oner for the Papal States from 1796 to 1864.

Known as Mastro Titta, a Roman nickname derived from 'maestro di giustizia' (master of justice), he began his career in ex*****ons at the age of 17 and continued for 68 years until his retirement. Over his career, Bugatti carried out a total of 514 ex*****ons, averaging about 7 per year. His methods included beheading by axe, hanging, mallet, and later, the guillotine, introduced by the French and first used in the Papal States in 1816.

Bugatti was a short, portly man, always well-dressed, and known for his regular attendance at the church Santa Maria in Traspontina. He was married but had no children. Outside his official duties, he and his wife sold painted umbrellas and souvenirs to tourists. Bugatti was restricted to the Trastevere neighborhood unless on official business, partly for his protection against revenge from the relatives of those he executed and partly due to superstition about his job. His crossing the bridge to Rome signaled an impending ex*****on, drawing crowds.

One of his notable ex*****ons was described by Charles Dickens in "Pictures from Italy" (1846). Bugatti's blood-stained clothes, axes, and guillotines, including a peculiarly built guillotine with a straight blade and V-shaped neckpiece, are displayed at the Museum of Criminology in Rome.

He died on June 18, 1869, in Rome, Lazio, Papal States.
