1. JAMB CUT OFF MARK FOR 2022/2023:

The minimum JAMB cut off marks for 2022/2023 admission processes have been fixed following the just concluded 2023 Admission Policy Meeting of the body (JAMB). The JAMB registrar Prof. Oloyede as witnessed by the authorities of Ministry of Education and the heads of tertiary institutions such as the Vice-chancellors of Universities, the Rectors of Polytechnics, and the Provosts of Colleges of education, etc, in a document state the cut off marks for 2022/23 as follow: Universities 160,
Polytechnics 120, Colleges of Education 100.

2. COEASU EMBARKED ON 4 WEEKS INDEFINITE STRIKE:-

The unionists (members) of The Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU), FCE(T), Omoku Chapter chairmaned by DR RICHARD ONUOTU joined other unionists to embark on INDEFINITE 4 weeks strike starting from Wednesday 14th June, 2022. In a document signed and released by the college (FECOETECH, Omoku in Affi. With UNN and Uniyo) PRO in a person of Prince Charlse Amadike-Otobo (JP), on the 15th June, 2022 in regards, the 14th NCE and 11th and 2nd Degree programme for University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and University of Uyo (UNIYO) respectively matriculation ceremony originally scheduled on Friday 17th June, 2022 has been postponed indefinitely. New date will be announced to the students, their parents/guidance and the general public. Meanwhile, the activities of students (as unionist) cm Non-academic staff are on.

The congress which commenced by 4pm at campus 1 (H1), was graced by both the indigenous and nonindigenous RIVERS STATE STUDENTS in FECOETECH, Omoku on Tuesday 7th June 2022. ETHNIC and DEPARTMENTAL heads and EXECUTIVES were present. The major issues discussed are: Familiarization with NURSS, Dinner Night/Pageantry, NURSS Dues, NURSS ID Card, etc. Following the reactions and contributions from the students in attendants, the president in the life of SEN. SOLOMON H. U. clearly stated as follow;

1. Familiarization with NURSS:- The benefits in NURSS include bursaries, scholarships, skill acquisition programs, etc.
2. Dinner (Prom) Night /Pageantry:- NURSS to organized these events alias TALANT HUNT PROGRAMS on 15th June 2022, originally scheduled 16th June 2022.
3. NURSS Dues:- Students (NCE/Degree) are to pay accordingly and directly to their school or faculty desk officer. #1200 (for fresher) and #700 (old/returning student). The payment is done every academic session.
4. ID Card:- This will be issued to all Rivers State students in the institution, FCE(T), Omoku, upon completion of payment made to the NURSS TREASURER, Comr. Best Eduga. The cost for plastic ID card is about #1500, and #800 for Laminated type. Payment is ongoing.

Reasons For Struggling:

Primarily, we struggle to solve problems successfully. Like deaths, troubles and struggles are among the inevitable things of life, we met them and we should always expect to meet them in our physical world. We should struggle to get use to trouble.

1. Struggling For Yourself - should be done when you have challenges that are sucking your blood or eating your flesh and you knew you can do it alone.
2. Struggling For Others - should be done when you noticed that people are into problems that will not affect you negatively but can be solved by you, or you can afford to help.
3. Struggling For Yourself and Others - should be done when you noticed that a certain problem affecting you negatively will definitely affect other people and vice versa. When you discovered problems that will affect you and other people negatively.

Principles Of Smart Struggling:

1. Define the struggle:- Know what and who you are struggling for.
2. Assess the Struggle:- Understand the effects of what you are struggling. Beware that more advantages better results.
3. Time the Struggle:- Set up the commencement and the validity periods of the struggles.
4. Commence the Struggle:- Begin the struggle fearlessly. Coronavirus (covid-19) is deadly because it revolved around fears.
5. Be commuted to the struggle:- Keep on struggling until you get a result which may be favourable or unfavourable. If it's favourable, that the end of the struggle bit if it is unfavourable it is opportunity to start afresh and correct all mistakes made during the processes.

Epilogue:
You have to recognise struggles before you battle or prepare for a battle. What you are aware won't take you unaware provided you always remember that most problems occurred repeatedly even after solving them. Solve them again band again, until they have no power over you.

Prologue:

Struggling is the process of doing or achieving difficult things. Like learning, struggling is a continuous process. Struggling is an element of learning to improve and usually require efforts. There is nothing unsuccessfully and successfully, unskillfully and skillfully done without effort. A series of efforts is required in all human activities, commercially, economically and otherwise. Smart struggling is done with an infinite purpose aiming at successes. It's struggling to subtract, not to add or multiply problem.

Who is a struggler?

One who put efforts and try very hard to do, achieve or deal with something that will cause problem in the future is a struggler. Smart strugglers are strugglers that are not ignorant of the next combat. They may have all they want in life but they won't relent in terms of utilising, securing and multiplying them.

Categories of Struggling:

1. Struggling By Yourself:- Do this only on what you can handle quickly and successfully on your own.
2. Struggling With Others:- Do this on what you cannot handle quickly or successfully on your own because success unit people. Don't always struggle alone when you are struggling for yourself and others unless there is no supporters or volunteers. Two good heads remains better than one.
