The Greatest Thing I hate the most in life!!!

There is one thing I detest so much, and it pi**es me off each time I think about it. Do you know what that is? It is the phrase "false hope". I will tell you why I wouldn't like it.

1. It means believing God can do everything for you (it's a lie; God gave you a brain so he can rest)

2. Believing that people are responsible for your joy and happiness.

3. Believing that a good guy will show up from somewhere, become the president of this country and change things(I'm sorry it won't happen ).

4. Believing that once you get a decree, you are automatically entitled to a job.

5. Believing that you are too handsome and beautiful to suffer when you don't engage in any productive activities.

6. Believing that your destiny is in the hands of others( your future lies in your hands; before people will help you, you have to carry your cross first).

7. Believing that it is the responsibility of the Government to give you a job( your forefathers held on to this mindset and they never achieved their dreams).

8. Believing you will make millions by just believing.

This believe system is what is keep us from paying the price for greatness, I hope you are not included?. 2024 is a few days from now. don't go into the new year with any of these mindset; let it go now so the next year will become one of your best.

How To Detect a Fake Website

A friend of mine wanted me to join an online financial platform where I would double my investment. I refused blatantly because I never wanted to be a victim of an online scam.

He convinced me with enough proof that I heeded to his request, i told him to send me the link to the website so i can register, and he sent it. I was about to register but saw something that shocked me. As a web developer, I knew different kinds of websites and how to detect those that are not genuine, I quickly told him about my observations and we stopped the registration, after few weeks, we got informed that the website had crashed and those that invested lost their money.

With the rise in online businesses, websites are developed every day and serve as a means of building an online presence, but amidst them are those that are designed primarily to extort money from people. There are several red flags you should note down that can help you determine if a website is genuine or not

1. SSL Encryption: SSL stands for secure socket layer, it looks like a locked padlock, and its major function is to provide security and privacy to website users. Avoid visiting websites without SSL encryption most especially payment and e-commerce websites that ask for your credit/debit e-card details.

2.Faked period of existence: To drive sales and capture customers' attention faster, most website owners claim to have been in operation for years. Do you know most of them lie about it? When a website owner lies about the website's duration and period of operation, it shows a lack of trust and credibility which poses a threat to its users. Always watch out for the details of the websites you visit to avoid being deceived. To do that, visit whois.com,type the URL on the search bar and everything about the website will be displayed( need a free guideline on how to do that, you can send me a DM).

3.Unclear Domain Extension: someone sent me a link to register for an event, when I saw the extension, I immediately deleted it. A domain extension is a suffix that follows a domain name in a website. Examples of the most credible domain extensions are .com, .co, .ng .com.ng, .edu .info, .biz .mil. I believe any website that wants to show credibility and rank higher on search engines will use any of these extensions.

4.Unrealistic offers: most website offers too many services that are catchy and seems unachievable, never be deceived by words, always make time to study the service and the gain they tend to get from such services so they will not end up smooth-talking you to taking unrealistic actions that will get you drained.

Be careful with the kind of website you visit.
