Hello my beloved one's, Easter is not a day we Christian celebrate as festival alone, it have mystery meaning which go beyond physical activities of the death and raising up of our lord Jesus Christ. The main purpose of humanity on earth is not just to hustle and feed the family from generation to generation. But to praise and worship our God through lord Jesus Christ.

Timothy despite the activities and events of the last days, to carefully consider his own life. Yes you need to preach and save people but of what use is preaching and saving others when yourself will not enter heaven.
Friends, this is the heart ofagain'matter like I earlier said.

Yes, heaven is real, hell is real, of what use is the information if at the end I don't make heaven.
TAKE HEED that you save yourself first..
Of a truth iniquity shall abound, TAKE HEED to yourself that you don't begin to also live in sin.
TAKE HEED to yourself that you don't preach and tell people to rekindle their prayer alter, live and walk in holiness while your own personal prayer life is gone, full of ashes and secret sins encroaching around you.
Friends, TAKE HEED. Brother, take heed. Sister, take heed. Music ministers take heed. Evangelist, teachers, pastors, prophets, apostles the Lord is saying TAKE HEED.
May we not preach and labour for heaven that we will not enter.
Oh God show us mercy!
Brother Peter added his voice in 2Pt3:11-12
Since all these things will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people should you be? Your lives should be holy and dedicated to God, as you wait for the Day of God and do your best to make it come soon ? the Day when the heavens will burn up and be destroyed, and the heavenly bodies will be melted by the heat.
2 Peter 3:11?-?12 GNB
He was pleading passionately that what is happening or what will happen to the world is not as important compared to the manner of person we are or should be. It is time to get it right and to live right.
Brethren this is the best time to look inward.
This lockdown is the best time to recheck, to be sure we are still in our own track.
Brother Paul has this to say again on this matter, '
Every competitor exercises self-control in all respects. They do it to receive a perishable crown, but we do it to receive an imperishable one. So I run in this way?not aimlessly. So I box in this way?not beating the air. Rather, I p

*Beloved, Pay Attention! This might require your immediate actions.*

I bring to us greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As fellow pilgrims on this side of eternity, the days and season where in we have found ourselves place such an urgency in my heart to bring to our notice or remembrance the instructions already laid down by the holy spirit for us as we journey here with regards to how to live and what to do in times like this.

Beloveth, we can all recall what happened in Matthew 24, how the disciples came privately to Jesus as he sat at Mount Olives to have Him settle a matter which He began in verse 2 concerning the buildings of the temple which He said all must be thrown down.

Their question was: tell us , when shall all these things be? What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world.
Interestingly, the first thing the Lord said in a bid to answer them was this, 'Take heed that no man deceive you.'
TAKE HEED
This matter, friends is the heart of the matter. For every other information, signs and warning He brought on their way the one that weighs heaviest is the matter of TAKE HEED.
Of a truth false prophets and teachers shall arise, fake Christ shall arise, on our own side the matter is, TAKE HEED.
Friends there shall be wars, rumours of wars, nations rising against nations, kingdom against kingdom, famines, pestilences, earthquakes in divers places, the matter for us is to TAKE HEED.
Iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold, the activity of he that weakeneth the nations, Satan, shall increase, coldness and lack of enthusiasm in the place of prayer and spiritual things shall increase, faith we fail, pleasure and social media idolatry shall increase, friends the first matter is TAKE HEED to yourself.

Mathematicians say LIFE is like a line segment drawn from point B to point D.

What is point B to point D?

It's from point of Birth(B) to point of Death(D).
So life starts from the moment we are Born(B) until the day we Die(D).

*But in the middle of B(Birth) and D(Death) is a mysterious C.*

What is C then?It is *CHRIST.*

If we put Christ in the middle of our life *(Birth--->Christ--->Deat

Jesus died for the sins of every person who ever lived or who will ever walk the earth. The Bible tells us, “[Jesus]is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2:2 NIV)

While He offers everyone forgiveness and salvation, unfortunately not everyone will accept His gifts. Jesus, God’s Son, saved the world from sin, death in hell, and the power of the devil. He did this through His own perfect life, His death, and His resurrection.

[Jesus said,]

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.” (John 3:16-18 NIV)

And a few verses later Jesus continues, saying “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life…” (John 3:36 NIV)

Many people choose not to believe in Jesus as their personal Savior from sin and an eternity in hell. But there is no other way to heaven except through faith in Him. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6NIV)

Jesus died for the sins of every person who ever lived—yours included! That’s how much He loves you. If you believe in Him as your Savior, full forgiveness and salvation in heaven is yours. You don’t receive those gifts by anything you do or don’t do. It’s a free gift, given by grace (undeserved love). The Bible says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV)

3. "By His Wounds You Were Healed"

The third and final statement of the purpose of the cross in this text makes that very unlikely. Verse 24b, again quoting Isaiah 53 (v. 5): "By His wounds you were healed." It does not say: By his wounds healing is offered. Or: By his wounds healing is a possibility. It says, "By his wounds you were healed." In other words the cross is efficacious. It achieves what God designs for it to achieve. The cross does not merely create new possibilities; it creates new persons.

Now Peter is not thinking here mainly of physical healing for cancer and arthritis and so on. As a matter of fact the cross will one day accomplish that in our lives whether here or in the age to come. But that is not Peter's thinking at all here.

He explains in verse 25 what he has in mind by the healing that the suffering and death and wounds of Christ accomplish: namely, a spiritual healing that sheds tremendously important light on what we have seen so far.

Verse 25: "For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls." This is the healing Peter has in mind: the return of straying, perishing sheep to their Guide and Provider and Keeper.

So here is the third statement of the design and purpose of the cross. The first in verse 21 was that Christ died so that we would follow in his footsteps. The second in verse 24a was that Christ died so that we would live to righteousness. The third in verses 24b–25 is that Christ died so that he might bring straying sheep home to the green pastures of the Good Shepherd

Christ Died for Our Sins That We Might Die to Sin

Resource by

John Piper

Scripture: 1 Peter 2:21–25 Topic: The Death of Christ

For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

Introduction

I told Tom before I left last week that I was eager for him to go ahead with the planning of the summer preaching series on the "one another" commands of the New Testament. I said that I thought my sermon this morning could be seen as a kind of foundation for those commands. Before I go on vacation and take some writing leave, I wanted to finish at least the second chapter of 1 Peter. So our focus this morning is on the last paragraph of that chapter.

When I began the series on 1 Peter last September I had no idea what was about to happen to us as a church. It has been far more hurtful than if several of our staff had died. Sometimes the texts from 1 Peter seemed exactly right. Other times it seemed that the Lord had some

1. "Follow in His Steps"

First, verse 21: "Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps." Literally: "Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you might follow in his steps."

In other words Christ suffered for us—he suffered even unto death—for this purpose: that we might follow in his steps. So God's purpose for us is that we follow in the steps of Jesus. And the enabling power behind that purpose is that Christ "suffered for us." Christ didn't just suffer and die to give us an example. He suffered "for us," that is, in our place, on our behalf.

And in suffering "for us" he showed his commitment and God the Father's commitment to bring their purpose for us to pass. Something happened in the death of Christ "for us" that guarantees its success in bringing us to follow in Christ's steps. The purpose is that we live like Christ. The power is the substitutionary death of Jesus. He died for us to make us like him.

And living like him includes all the "one another" commands of the New Testament. That's why I see all of this as foundational for the summer series.

Christ Died That We Might Live Righteously

Three times in this text Peter tells us that Christ died and that the purpose of his death was to enable us to live differently. Or another way to put it is that he tells us that God's purpose for us as a church is that we live like Christ, that we live righteously; and he tells us three times that his unshakable, infinitely compelling commitment to fulfill that purpose in us is the death of his Son to make it happen. His commitment to make it happen is seen in the sacrifice of his Son to make it happen.

Let me point out these three statements of purpose and three statements of God's commitment to make it happen through the death of Jesus.

How Can We Be Ready When the Savior Comes?

The best way we can prepare for the Savior’s coming is to accept the teachings of the gospel and make them part of our lives. We should live each day the best we can, just as Jesus taught when He was on the earth. We can look to the prophet for guidance and follow his counsel. We can live worthy to have the Holy Ghost guide us. Then we will look forward to the Savior’s coming with happiness and not with fear. The Lord said: “Fear not, little flock, the kingdom is yours until I come. Behold, I come quickly. Even so. Amen”

How Will We Know When the Savior’s Coming Is Near?

When Jesus Christ was born, very few people knew that the Savior of the world had come. When He comes again, there will be no doubt who He is. No one knows the exact time that the Savior will come again. “Of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matthew 24:36; see also D&C 49:7).

The Lord used a parable to give us an idea of the time of His coming:

“Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

“So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors” (Mark 13:28–29).

The Lord has also given us some signs to let us know when His coming is near. After revealing the signs, He cautioned:

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. …

“… Be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 24:42, 44).

For more information about how we will know when Jesus’s Second Coming is near, see chapter 43 in this book.

When Jesus Christ comes again to the earth, He will do the following things:

He will cleanse the earth. When Jesus comes again, He will come in power and great glory. At that time the wicked will be destroyed. All things that are corrupt will be burned, and the earth will be cleansed by fire (see D&C 101:24–25).

He will judge His people. When Jesus comes again, He will judge the nations and will divide the righteous from the wicked (see Matthew 25:31–46; see also chapter 46 in this book). John the Revelator wrote about this judgment: “I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, … and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” The wicked he saw “lived not again until the thousand years were finished” (Revelation 20:4–5; see also D&C 88:95–98).

He will usher in the Millennium. The Millennium is the thousand-year period when Jesus will reign on the earth. The righteous will be caught up to meet Jesus at His coming (see D&C 88:96). His coming will begin the millennial reign. (See chapter 45 in this book.)

President Brigham Young said:

“In the Millennium, when the Kingdom of God is established on the earth in power, glory and perfection, and the reign of wickedness that has so long prevailed is subdued, the Saints of God will have the privilege of building their temples, and of entering into them, becoming, as it were, pillars in the temples of God [see Revelation 3:12], and they will officiate for their dead. Then we will see our friends come up, and perhaps some that we have been acquainted with here. … And we will have revelations to know our forefathers clear back to Father Adam and Mother Eve, and we will enter into the temples of God and officiate for them. Then [children] will be sealed to [parents] until the chain is made perfect back to Adam, so that there will be a perfect chain of Priesthood from Adam to the winding-up s

What is Repentance?

I promised to simplify that long theological word. It literally means to feel a godly sorrow for the wrongs we have committed. Such genuine sorrow is only possible when we fully recognize that our only hope rests in the death of Jesus on the cross in our place. Helplessly we must turn away from self and “behold the Lamb of God,” who takes away the sin of the world. What happens as we watch Him bleeding, suffering, and dying on the cross? We realize that He was holy and innocent. We were the guilty ones. We should be hanging there instead of Him. We are overwhelmed to realize that He would have submitted to the torture and death for only one soul, even for you or me. Suddenly our eyes fill with tears as we realize that our sins caused His death on the cross. His heart was broken by the crushing weight of sins that had been taken from us. He was voluntarily suffering the punishment we deserved. We are filled with sorrow that we ever committed those very sins that now are taking the life of the Son of God. That sorrow is repentance.

We must clearly distinguish between a worldly sorrow and a genuine godly sorrow. Sometimes children say, “I'm sorry” when facing punishment for misbehavior, but often they are merely regretful that they got caught. This is not true repentance. .
