Why Did Buhari Sit On A Chair During Eid Prayers ? - Sahara Reporters

Sahara reporters had taken to its Twitter handle earlier today to ask why Buhari was sitting on a chair during Eid prayers. There was no clear reason for asking Nigerians such kind of question, whether it was just for fun or they were implying that the president is sick was not pointed out.

But trust me some Nigerians are not smiling at all. While some try to provide valid reasons from what they believe may be the reason why Buhari was sitting on a chair during Eid prayers, others did not take it lightly as they gave Sahara Reporters a piece of their mind while defending their beloved president.

As for those that stood for Mr president and criticized Sahara Reporters, here are their views:

, "The earlier you understand that this man is the our number one citizen, the better for you.We have to protect him at all cost.

"Baba no be baby boy o, make baba no kpai while trying to IMPRESS THE PRESS."

While for those that believe all may not be well with Mr president, here are their responses:

Ibadan based spiritual leader, Satguru Maharaji who is also addressed as "the perfect living master" or "Black Jesus" has called on Nigerians to look inwards so as to find a cure to the raging Coronavirus pandemic.

The founder of the One Love Family religious organisation who was born Mohammed Ajirobatan Ibrahim revealed in his statement that the virus came into existence as a result of the consumption of animals that are not supposed to be eaten by humans and also, various lifestyles that does not glorify God.

According to him, "The seven elements of the world are angry, a lot of sins are committed daily with impunity." He stated that the consumption of animals such as millipede, scorpion, cockroach, bats, frog and the act of cannibalism, advocacy for gay marriage, prostitution, transgender humans and other strange human actions across the world have all contributed to the outbreak of the coronavirus plague.

He thereafter advised Nigerians to look inward on how to tackle the spread of the virus rather than depend on other countries where COVID-19 originated for assistance.

The search to recover more bodies was called off on the second day

The boat sank on Thursday after a fire was set onboard to attract attention of passing boats

Ten fishing vessels dropped flowers and blasted their horns to pay respect for the dead migrants

LAMPEDUSA, Italy (AP) — The coffins of African migrants killed in a shipwreck off the Italian island of Lampedusa were lined up in long rows inside an airport hangar where survivors of the tragedy paid their respects Saturday. All of the caskets had a single white rose on top except for the four of the youngest victims, which had stuffed animals.

The 111 coffins were numbered — a teddy bear wearing a smile and a blue shirt with a heart was placed above casket No. 92. The ceremony took place hours after Italian fishermen threw a bouquet of yellow flowers near the exact spot where the migrant boat sank, honking their foghorns in tribute to the dead and up to 250 migrants who may still be missing.

The search to recover more bodies, meanwhile, was called off for a second day because of choppy waters and strong currents.

A parliamentary delegation visited the survivors amid reports that a boat may have violated the "law of the sea" by failing to help the migrant ship packed with 500 migrants, nearly all from Eritrea, about 600 meters (650 yards) from shore.

"To come to rescue is a duty. Not to come to rescue is a crime," Laura Boldrini, the Italian house speaker who previously, and for many years, was the U.N. Refugee Agency spokeswoman in Italy, told reporters in Lampedusa after visiting the survivors.

The 20-meter (65-foot) migrant boat sank Thursday after a fire was set onboard to attract attention of any passing boats or people on shore when they ran into trouble. They had traveled for two full days and thought they had reached safety when they saw the lights of Lampedusa.

Instead, at least 111 drowned and 155 survived, some of whom were in the water for three hours, clinging to anything buoyant — even

A new report tells of the gruesome murder of a pregnant lady who hails from a South Eastern state in the country just two months after she got married. The murder was allegedly committed by her newly wedded husband.

Early this year, January 10th precisely, one Rita Onyemauchechukwu Onyebuchi —now late— and her husband Mr Ikechukwu popularly called “Agbada” and both hailing from Anambra state, sealed their union in holy matrimony.

But what would happen two months and a pregnancy after is what has had people in shock. The story of Rita’s murder starts when on the 24th of March, 2020 —a working day— her younger brother, Onyebuchi John Paul, who works in the same company with her, noticed she wasn’t at work, which to him is a rather seldom occurrence.

In light of this, he put a call through to her but got no response. It was after working hours that he went to her house in Ezimezi village, Amawbia, Anambra state, but on getting there, saw that the door to the house was locked.

He also noticed that his brother-in-law’s car was not parked in the compound. He then went home and called her husband but his number was switched off.

The next day, a Wednesday, his sister still didn’t show up to work and their mother, who is suffering from high blood pressure, was beginning to get worried.

It was on Thursday morning, March 26th that John Paul stopped by his sister’s house on his way to work and saw a crowd, including police officers, gathered in the compound.

He was led into the house where he saw the decomposing body of his sister lying in a pool of her own blood.

John Paul, who gave the narrative of the whole situation on his page, revealed that his sister was 2 months pregnant before she was murdered.

Seeking justice in his post, John also revealed that his sister’s husband was arrested on the same Thursday, March 26 and was held at Central Police Station Awka.

On Saturday, March 28, he was transfe
