A Servant prepares

Jesus completed the work of salvation for us on the cross, brings us into it, gives us the Holy Spirit as our counselor, and sets us about his business. He has finished the work of our salvation, but He still calls us to work for His kingdom. Therefore, with gratitude and love, we train to be the most effective servants possible.

While the specific ways in which we serve will differ in time, place, and position, there are things that all Godโ€™s servants have in common.

A Servant Is Humble (Humility)

You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one anotherโ€™s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. (John 13:13-17)

If Jesus humbled himself in this way and even further in his death, then we also should be humble in all we do for him and others.

A call to serve is an invitation from Heavenly Father for greater spiritual growth. It is a call to overcome fear with faith and to learn greater humility as we accept the Lordโ€™s will. The call can bring the peace and joy of eternal progression.

Text(s): John 10:18

Sub-Theme: "Power over His Life"

๐Ÿ“Œ The power of Jesus is not a positional power. The power of Jesus has no definite definition.

๐Ÿ“Œ The power of Jesus is cast that it lacks a definite definition. It is used to suit diverse situations as the case may be.

๐Ÿ“Œ Jesus power over his life is not restricted to Himself alone. It encircles everything that ever lived.

๐Ÿ“Œ Power of Jesus spoilt the power of death and darkness.

๐Ÿ“Œ His power gave him the ability to walk up on the sea

๐Ÿ“Œ His power gave Him the authority to heal someone on the Sabbath day. John 8

๐Ÿ“Œ The power of Jesus was shown when He heald the man that was born blind.

๐Ÿ“Œ Christ Power gave Him to right to make this powerful statement "No man can take my life from me"

๐Ÿ“Œ The authoritative statement above was said in the midst of those who believed themselves to be the authorities of the earth.

๐Ÿ“Œ He said this to announce that the war between life and death was defeated.

๐Ÿ“Œ The authority of Jesus in that statement shows that the deal of Him laying His life was made, signed and sealed.

DIVISION OF THE STATEMENTS OF JESUS

1. The grammatical implication of the statements of Jesus.

2. The spiritual implication of the statements of Jesus.

3. The source of the statements of Jesus.

4. The prove of the statements of Jesus.

POINTS
๐Ÿ“Œ The Grammatical Structure of the statements of Jesus indicates that there is a progression of am act and it lives for eternity.

๐Ÿ“Œ The action in the statements had been performed already before the Jesus came into existence; therefore; it is important to know that Jesus voluntarily, without compulsion laid His life.

๐Ÿ“Œ The statements of Jesus was a fact, a reoccurrence of what was about to happen.

๐Ÿ“Œ The spiritual implication of the statements of God reveals the strength and power in the word of God . This was the reason why nothing could stop Him from fulfilling His Mandate of dying on the cross for mankind.

๐Ÿ“Œ Another spiritual implication of these statements of Christ is that it is a God-centered statement.

๐Ÿ“Œ This spiritual implication of Jesus is also an indication that there was an agreement between God and His Son (Jesus) Even before He was born as man.

The Source of the Statement of Jesus

1. The Uninterrupted Communion between God and Jesus.

2. The preexistence of Jesus with the Father.

*The Prove of Statements of Jesus Christ*

1. The intimacy of the Jesus with the God.

2. The Love of God to His Son Jesus

3. His Obedience of Jesus to thw instructions of God the Father.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS

๐Ÿ“Œ No one of you will even fall into cunning web of the devil.

๐Ÿ“Œ No power of the devil c take your lives without the consent of God.

๐Ÿ“Œ Because of this convention if there is any one that wants to push you into the grave. The Lord will push him instead.

๐Ÿ“Œ If thy succeeded someone in your family, they Will not succeed you.

๐Ÿ“Œ As you're leaving this convention those who are waiting for confusion will enter into their midst.

๐Ÿ“Œ If anyone has declared anything against your family, by the power of this convention your family will not be finished.

๐Ÿ“Œ What killed others will not kill you, what put others into bo***ge will not put You in Jesus Name. AMEN. ๐Ÿ™

Conclusively
Jesus Christ was given power over His life and yours. The life given to us is the eternal life of which Jesus has absolute authority over.

INTERCESSORY PRAYERS.

๐Ÿ“Say Dear Lord. You own my life, it is only you that had power over my life. I shall not die before my time.

๐Ÿ“Say Oh Lord God, I hereby hide under you. Form a wall of fire around me and my family. Whoever wants to trespass, let the serpents bite him.

๐Ÿ“Say Dear Lord, I hand over the preacher of this powerful Sermon into your mighty hands. Bring him back to this mount with a truck of testimonies in Jesus name. AMEN ๐Ÿ™

Sub-Theme: "Saving Power"

Text: Isaiah 63:1

POINTS
The power of Christ is the catalyst to the power of His resurrection.

๐Ÿ“Œ Jesus Christ, during His existence on earth had a dual personality which is as a human and as God.

๐Ÿ“Œ The Saving Power of Christ is a combination of the sin of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

๐Ÿ“Œ The death and resurrection of Christ lifted all family courses and set mankind free.

๐Ÿ“Œ The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ gave man easy access into the kingdom of God almighty.

๐Ÿ“Œ The resurrection of Christ gave Him the power to get the keys of life and death.

๐Ÿ“Œ His death and resurrection rescued mankind from the shackles of Satan and gave man an unmerited grace.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

๐Ÿ“ Because Jesus Christ has power of the death, before the end of this convention, you shall be an embodiment of fear for the devil. Amen

๐Ÿ“ All power of the devil in your lives, the saving power of Chris shall bring them to judgement.

๐Ÿ“ The saving Power of Christ shall take away the power of the devil from you and you shall be free.

๐Ÿ“ Every serious sickness in your lives, from now, the saving power of Jesus Christ shall take them away.

๐Ÿ“ From this elevated altar built by the blood of Jesus Christ, because of His resurrection, your cases are settled.

03/04/2023

When Jesus said, โ€œI am the resurrection and the life,โ€ He was claiming to be the source of both. There is no resurrection apart from Christ, and there is no eternal life apart from Christ.
Beyond that, Jesus was also making a statement concerning His divine nature. He does more than give life; He is life, and therefore death has no ultimate power over Him.
Jesus confers this spiritual life on those who believe in Him, so that they share His triumph over death (1 John 5:11-12). Believers in Jesus Christ will experience resurrection because, having the life Jesus gives, it is impossible for death to defeat them (1 Corinthians 15:53-57).

TOPIC: PEACE IN THE MIDST OF CHAOS

โ€œWhat time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.โ€ Psalm 56:3.

*MESSAGE*
We all have times when we are afraid. Times when fear seems to be all we feel and we are not sure what to do. Whether it is fear over our health, our finances, the future, someone we love or something else, fear can be
debilitating when it takes hold of us. We can feel like we are not in control. But we do not have to feel like this.

When life is becoming chaotic around us, we can stay calm. This might seem like an impossibility, but with God's help we can do it. We can choose to fix our minds on good things rather than fearful thoughts โ€” โ€œwhatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things
are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these thingsโ€ (Philippians 4:8). Even in the middle of panic, we can train ourselves to think of good things rather than the fear we're feeling.

Allowing ourselves to feel panic without reacting to it may sound difficult at first, but it helps us break the cycle and take control of our thinking. There are practical things we can do, too. We can take a minute and whisper a prayer, quote a Bible verse, listen to godly music, or talk to a friend. God doesn't want us to be living in fear. He tells us to hand our fears over to Him and He will exchange them for His peace (Philippians 4:6-7). When we feel out of control, we need to remember that no matter what is happening in our lives, God is still in control. And we can trust Him. Just like the psalmist, we can say: โ€œWhat time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.โ€

ACTION POINT
๐Ÿ–‹๏ธ When you start to feel overwhelmed and full of fear, stop and say the name of Jesus until you start to feel calmer.

SCRIPTURES
Philippians 4:6-8; Psalm 34:4; 55:4-5; 1 Samuel 21:10-12.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Thank you Lord for Your Word unto me today.

2. I reject every lie of Satan which is breeding fear all around me in the name of
Jesus.

3. I declare today that the peace of God guards my heart now and forevermore
in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: THE FAVOUR OF GOD

โ€œFor thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.โ€ Psalm 5:12.

MESSAGE
When you ask someone for a favour, you are generally asking for something they don't owe you. Our text for today says this about God: โ€œFor thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shieldโ€ (Psalm 5:12). The word 'righteous' here does not mean flawless, otherwise none of us would qualify for His blessing. Instead, it means to be clothed in โ€œthe righteousness of Godโ€ (2
Corinthians 5:21); in other words, despite all our imperfections, we're made acceptable before God, which allows us to experience His favour). We don't deserve it, but God gives it to us willingly when we are open to Him and accept Him into our lives.

The favour of God made it possible for people in the Bible to do great things that they couldn't have done in their own strength or without His support. God called a teenager named Esther to save the Jewish people. So she stepped out in faith, approached the king uninvited, even though it was against the rules, and he welcomed her (Esther 5:2). God made a way for her to do the job He had given her. Without the favour of God, Ruth, a Gentile, wouldn't have been accepted by the Jews. But because God had a plan for her life and her heart was open to Him, she ended up marrying Boaz. And from that union descended King David, and ultimately Jesus.

The Bible says, โ€œA good man obtaineth favour of the Lord: but a man of wicked devices will he condemnโ€ (Proverbs 12:2). So pray for the favour of God today. Start looking for it, and keep your heart open to Him.

ACTION POINT
๐Ÿ–‹๏ธ Spend a few minutes thanking God for giving us His favour, even though we don't deserve it.

SCRIPTURES
Proverbs 12:2; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Psalm 84:11.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Thank You Lord for giving me Your favour, even though I don't deserve it.

2. Father, continue to surround my life with favour on every side in the name of Jesus.

3. O Lord, let me never run out of enjoying Your grace and favour in the name of
Jesus.

TOPIC: PRAY MORE

โ€œBe careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.โ€ Philippians 4:6.

MESSAGE
Writing to the Philippians, Paul says, โ€œBe careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.โ€ (Philippians 4:6-7). When we pray more, we worry less.

With that fact in mind, we are left with a choice: either pray about it or worry about it. Prayer is the language of dependent people. Prayer gives the problem to God, so you experience more peace of mind. Does that mean that the first time you try, you will not worry about the problem at all? No. It means you will worry less. While your goal is to give it completely to God and not worry about it at all, you will only get there step by step.

God is not asking us to exist in a state of denial. Instead He offers an alternative to the pointless and exhausting habit of worry. Paul admonishes believers to โ€œPray without ceasing.โ€ (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Start your day with prayer, and continue praying off and on throughout the day. Pray as you drive or take the bus to work. Pray while you are at work or in school. Pray before you have your lunch break. Pray when you get that difficult phone call. Pray when you're disappointed by something. Pray without ceasing!

Your heavenly Father is deeply touched by your struggles, and He loves it when you come to Him asking for help. He's always with You so invite Him to face that issue bothering you.

ACTION POINT
๐Ÿ–‹๏ธ Put this into practice right away. Take all your concerns and hand them over into the hands of Jesus.

SCRIPTURES
Philippians 4:6-7; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Proverbs 3:5-6.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Dear Lord, help me to live without fear and worry in Jesus' name.

2. Father, take over and fight my battles in Jesus' name.

3. Lord, help me to love You more in Jesus' name!

TOPIC: ABSTAIN FROM MEANINGLESS ARGUMENTS

โ€œNeither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.โ€™โ€™ 1 Timothy 1:4.

MESSAGE
Timothy was the pastor of the church in Ephesus. In the Greek culture of those days, people love to make arguments and counter arguments. It was common for educated people to gather simply to argue about an issue. The person who presented the most compelling argument won the day. That attitude crept into the church where many people had opinions on doctrinal issues. Some of these positions were not based on sound teaching. So people were misleading many believers by teaching meaningless ideas which do not help people live a life of faith in God.

Some ideas about God, heaven, and the spiritual world are beyond our knowledge and are not explained in the Bible. Thinking about these things leads to pure speculation and guessing. Paul says we must stop useless arguments that do not help us grow in Christ. Instead, we are to live in harmony with one another in love, which comes from a pure heart and good conscience.

If you ever have the opportunity to teach Godโ€™s Word to others, check your motives. If you are trying to reveal special spiritual knowledge to impress others, this does not build the church. Teach on the things that build maturity and love in your congregation.

ACTION POINT
If any teaching is not building you up on your most holy faith, run away from it.

SCRIPTURE
1 Timothy 6:4; 2 Timothy 2:23; 4:4; Titus 1:14; 3:9

PRAYER POINTS
1. God, thank You for teaching me another important principle from Your Word.

2. Lord, help me and other believers you use in teaching Your Word to do so with a godly motive in the name of Jesus.

3. God, give me the grace to abstain from arguments that will not build my faith in Jesusโ€™ name.

The Lord is in Our Midst

What would the world be like if we acted as if the Lord was someone we knew or met all the time?
How would be treat him or her? Of course the Lord is in our midst and God is in each and every one we meet.
How quickly we forget the meaning of the words we say. "We are made in the image and likeness of God." "We are all God's children." "I am with you always." "Where two or three are gathered together, there am I."

There's a story about an abbey in a forest where the monks were so happy they sang while they worked and prayed and people flocked to them. Then something changed, and the cook started fighting with the gardener and the shepherd with the houseman and the singing stopped and people stopped coming and the Abbot didn't know what to do. Then he went to visit the wise man in the woods. He said to the Abbot, tell them the Lord is in their midst. He went back and told them what the wise man said. The cook thought to himself, what if it's the gardener.
The shepherd wondered if it was the houseman. Everyone began to treat everyone else as if he was the Lord. Soon the joy returned to the Abbey and the singing and then the people. The Lord is in our midst, we need to bring back the joy.

The promise God gives His people here is extremely powerful and incredibly encouraging. If we apply this promise to our own lives, we can take heart.

God has our back! No matter what our enemies have in store for us (and believe it: if you serve the cause of Christ, you do have enemies!) God has it covered. He tells us not to fear or be anxious because He holds us in his "righteous right hand." We are protected by His power and His might.

Not only will He protect us, but He will punish those who come against us. They will be "shamed" and "dishonored" and will eventually perish. They will come looking to fight us, but they will not find us because God has taken care of the matter.

How can we not serve such an awesome and mighty God?

20/06/2022

Many times, we wonder, "What is God's will for me? " Here, God tells us. It is his will that we be sanctified, meaning "made holy" or "set apart" from the filth and corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4) And one major area of sanctification Paul mentions, fornication, because it is so prevalent and so degrading.

Topic: Working in Obedience
Text: Deuteronomy 28:1 - 8.

Introduction: Obedience is total compliance with an order, law or submission to the constituted authority.

Obedience is something that all Christians must do to receive blessings from God.
We have to obey God that it will be well with us

Example of people who obeyed God
1. Abraham
2. Noah
3. Enoch

High Points
* We need to obey our masters even at workplace, Colossians 3:22
* Be obedient to Your leaders. Ephesian 6:5 - 8
* When you're obedient, you will work with God
* If you disobey your master, he will not say good about you.
* When you're obedient, you will be blessed

Conclusion
If we obey God, destruction will not be your portion but many blessings

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:2-3

Inspiration
To walk worthy of our calling by God (verse 1), we must be lowly, meek, patient, loving, and seekers of unity and peace. Our basis of unity with other believers is described in verses 4 to 6 of this chapter of Ephesians. But note that it is these qualities described here in verses 2 and 3 that let us practically enjoy this unity.

Prayer
Give us a spirit of unity, O Lord, for Christ is not divided. Where true grounds for godly unity exists, let us joyfully embrace it! Let us never fall prey to a party spirit but always rejoice in the common ground that we share with all true Christians. Amen.

Salvation from temporal troubles and physical blessings in this life are truly often given to us by God. But far greater than these are spiritual and eternal salvation and the accompanying spiritual blessings we receive in Christ.

It is God's work to save; it is his people's privilege to receive the blessings of that salvation.

27/04/2022

But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers._
1 Samuel 12:15

INSPIRATION
Famine, war, captivityโ€ฆthese are all the consequences of rebellion the people of Israel experienced.
The Old Testament has example after example of the Lord turning his hand against those who did not obey him. It can be easy for us to judge these Old Testament citizens, but if we look closely at our own hearts, we will see that there have been times when we have disobeyed and rebelled against the Lord's commandments.

Rather than judging the Old Testament body, we should use their experiences as a guide. Rather than continuing in sin and having God subject us to his wrath, we should seek his face.

PRAYER
Dear God, you are holy and you are jealous. When we are tempted to disobey your commands, remind us of the Israelites and the ways they suffered because of sin. Remind us that sometimes we must be disciplined to learn a lesson, but help us to learn this lesson from those who went before us rather than having to walk through it ourselves. Forgive us for our sins, O Lord. Do not turn your hand against us. Please extend mercy on your children. In Jesus' name, amen.

THEY BETRAYED JESUS

Judas betrayed Jesus, Peter denied him and the rest ran away. I don't know what I would have done in their situation but I'm glad I will never find out in such a dramatic fashion.

However, when I have sinned, I have betrayed him. When I have not stood up for my faith, I have denied him, and when I walk away from situations and allow others to suffer because I did not act, I have run away. Holy Week gives us an opportunity once again to reread the Passion of Christ and reflect on what happened then, and what is happening now.

Would I have been part of the crowd crying out for crucifixion? Would I have had the courage to stand at the foot of the cross? I think back over the times I have failed to do what I know is right, when I have acted in an unkind and sinful manner. At these times, I am in that raucous crowd, I am asking for crucifixion. I ask forgiveness for my sins of the past that

Jesus bore on that cross for me. Once again, I pray that I will make better decisions in the year to come.
