Okokobioko!
The petition of Gov. Ayade at the election tribunal is very weighty!
The petition is heavily grounded on the provisions of the electoral act!
The petitioner is saying that the purported election in 367 polling units across the north were vitiated by substantial non-compliance with the mandatory statutory accreditation by BVAS and the breach of electoral act and INEC laws.
The petitioner(Gov. Ayade) is asking that all the votes from the affected polling units credited to Sen Jarigbe Agom should be declared null and void.
Gov. Ayade is also demanding that after the unlawful votes credited to Sen. Jarigbe from the affected 367 polling units have been deducted, it will be clear that he(Gov. Ayade) scored the highest lawful votes cast and should therefore be declared winner and Senator Elect having satisfied the requirement of the law.
The case will not be difficult to prove. They will check the total votes cast from the BVAS machine and confirm if it tallies with the total votes declared
When this is done, will your senator elect still remain the senator elect?
You don't need to answer this question now, just get your Popcorn and enjoy this intriguing drama that will unfold.
Indeed many certificates of return will be returned.ππππ
