Dear God, thank You that you chose me to be born on this day, February second. The Bible says that we are βwonderfully and fearfully made, knit together in our mother's womb.β The wonder of it!
Despite my many flaws and faults, you chose me to do small things for others with great love and kindness, These are but a small echo of your love for, and kindness toward, me.
Allow my flaws and faults to be a springboard of compassion for all people, knowing that we all are, well, human. Use those flaws to remind me to stay close to you, to feel sorrow for any ways I have offended You. I wish to be good, Lord, and that in only possible in any measure by my staying by your side and receiving from you my marching orders for the day.
If there is therefore some way that I can pick someone up by a smile or kind act, never fail to impel me to do so, knowing how much you love that person, though I know nothing of their struggles. Remind me that a single act of kindness can change the trajectory of a person's life, if you are βin itβ, and you always ARE in acts of kindness and love.πβ€οΈππππ₯°πΉπ°π°π
If you will, grant me another year to praise you, bless you, and love you. And remind me, often, that βwithout You, God, I can do nothingβ .. Amen
