But I hate him...
He is a man of God
But I hate him
He preaches the truth of God's Word
But I hate him.
He wouldn't prophesy lies
But I hate him.
He is such a trustworthy personality
But I hate him
He tries not to offend anyone
But I hate him
But why? Why will such a man full of all these coveted characters be hated by anyone?
Is he into a secret sin that people don't know about?
No! But I hate him.
I hate him because he wouldn't flow with the crowd.
I hate him because he doesn't prophesy what I want to hear, he only speaks what God's says.
I hate him because he wants my destruction.
I hate him because when others speak well of what I do, he speaks evil about them in the name of the Lord.
Yeah, he doesn't like me, so I hate him too.
I hated him until I embarked on my last war, he told me that those speaking well about me were deceiving me.
Then I hated him more and asked he be kept away till I return - Return, yes I replied, but he further spoke and proclaimed the truth from God again ...If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me.
I went for the war and a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote me between the joints of the harness: wherefore I said unto the driver of my chariot, turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.
Suddenly every warning, and every word of hatred spoken by the man I hated, became words of love.
How much he loved me, I have been deceived by the devil that he hated me.
Until I was hit by the enemy's hatcher, I never knew the sincerity of his love. Oh how he loved me!
By the time I realized this, it was too late - The devil's plan had been achieved - Destruction! Yes, destruction as he had forewarned.
How much I wish I had listened, but now it was too late.
He loved me with God's love, but I hated him.
A Poem | Samuel Temitope Akande|
2 Chronicles 18:7 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
