Wait, have you considered these as a business owner?
Why Do You Do What You Do on Behalf of Your Business?
Do you have any clarity or purpose for doing them?
Or do you just do them because you see others
doing them?
Or because you want to be popular? A social media sponsored Ad looks cool on you right?
A radio jingle would sell you off as 'new money' huh?
Calm down, e go soon
shock you...
In business and in life, you need clarity of purpose. It will help you make informed and peculiar decisions. But starting a business in the first place seemed to be what you're doing becuase others are doing it. Find a purpose. You'll last longer with a purpose than without.
For instance...
Making advert is not only aimed at making sales. Visibility is part of them reasons, (if you want to build a market conscious brand/product, sales should be the last thing on your mind. It will come naturally of you do your assignments well) .
So, If placing your advert on the billboard is what fits your business, if you continuously use the newspaper, you'll only burn your money out.
You'll regret it. Don't do it because they're doing it. It's bad for business.
In fact, theres are a lot of things that the big competitors in your industry are not doing. There's always an idea gap information gap, something that can be done better. Something that you can leverage on.
There's something they call competitors'
research. It is a process whereby you analyse your current or potential competitions by evaluating their strength, weakness, opportunities and threats (SWOT Analysis)
Leverage on that to provide better services. To me, the fact that there are a lot of businesses today doesn't mean you cannot sell. Many of such businesses are run with mediocrity and a 'make money quick' mentality. You can be the 'out-of the
box' class Entrepreneurwhen you do things differently. I'll stop here, wishing you loads of love and sales today.

Ps:don't forget the two action points -
1. Do Conpetitors research using SWOT analysis
2. Do what works for you not what others are doing.
