THE KICK OFF AWARENESS OF SKILL AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT (SAED)

On Sunday the 30th of April 2023 by 2:45pm. The NYSC 2023 batch B, stream 2 committee of the Skill and Entrepreneurship Development took to the street of the Camp Community to sensitize their fellow colleagues and the entire camp community of the readiness of 2023 NYSC Batch B stream 2 for SAED program.

The members of the team, led by Mr. Ogiator Augustine, Head of SAED took off with the band team in front of the multi-purpose hall to campaign around the camp premises including the market area also known as Mami.

The team express honor as they halted at the NYSC State Coordinator's office.

The Head of SAED, Mr. Ogiator Augustine presented the team to the Coordinator and declared interest and readiness for the 2023 Batch A stream 2 SAED program.

Our correspondence IDRIS Toheeb Olalekan with the state code: AN/23A/2601 reported that the state coordinator, Lady Mrs Dorris Erunse warmly welcomed the team and appreciated their unrelenting effort towards a successful SAED program for this batch of corp members.

In her statement, she said that the government understands that there are a lot of unemployed youths. Hence, the role of SAED as it can equip corp members with skills that will make them employable and also fit to employ others. It will also provide corp members with improved skills to not compete in the labor market before opportunities find them. - *The coordinator said.*

The coordinator expressed her readiness to meet corp members and the SAED official opening on Monday, 1st of May, 2023. The awareness team was dismissed after a group photo session with the coordinator.

ANAMBRA STATE CORDINATOR OFFICIALLY INNAUGURATES THE CAMP COURT

At about 10:30am on the 29th of april 2023, the nysc state cordinator inaugurated the camp court officially at the umuawulu/mbaukwu permanent camp, Anambra state.

According to the state cordinator, the camp court would be responsible for Declaring and enforcing discplinary penalties on any corp member that violates the camp rules.
The team comprised of the State nysc director along with other vital camp officials and two practicing lawyers as well as two platoon representatives.

The meeting was grace with highly esteemed officials were present at the first day of the lecture amongst which are :

NYSC STATE CORDINATOR INNAUGURATES THE PLATOON LEADERS IN ANAMBRA STATE.

At exactly 10: 37am on the 29th of April 2023, the state cordinator in person of Mrs Blessing Ekene Irunma innaugurated the various platoon names to represent, cordinate and lead the platoons.

As She admonished them to be diligent, right on time in delivery of information so as to ensure that all platoon members are adequately carried along.

After this address came the official roping of the platoon leaders to represent the camp director on the camp with the platoon leader's special jacket and was issued their appointment letters that stipulated their duration of service.

NYSC STATE CORDINATOR FLAGS OFF THE LECTURE SERIES AT THE UMUAWULU CAMP, ANAMBRA STATE.
At about 10:43am, the State cordinator flagged off the lecture series by beggining with a preamble of useful basic information that all corp members should know.

The 2023 NYSC Orientation Camp inter-platoon debate Competition, with the theme: minding the gap: Digital literacy, youth employability and leadership development in the 21st century, a sin Quanon, saw platoon 9 emerging Victorious after a convincing outing during the debate Competition.

The award of cash prizes to the winners of the inter-platoon tournament, according to our correspondent Dorcas Daniel, was presented by State coordinator Mrs.Blessing Ekene, to Platoon 3 who came third place with a cash price of #8,000, Platoon 4 came in second place with a cash prize of #12,000, and Platoon 9 the Winners, went home with a cash prize of #15,000.
