There was an outage yesterday on Facebook and Instagram logging many out of their accounts. Meta said it was caused by a technical error due to "the application and ex*****on of an incorrect process used as we were expanding our network". They offered a $5 credit to affected customers.

Many are yet to recover their accounts.

Feast Of Saint Nicholas (6th December)

The Catholic church today celebrates the feast of Saint Nicholas (A Bishop), the man behind "THE FATHER CHRISTMAS" - Santa Claus

He was a bishop of Myra in Turkey, born on 15th March 270 in Patara Turkey, died on 6th December 343 in Myra Turkey at the age of 73.

He was famous for his generousity towards a poor man who had 3 daughters that weren't able to get married because they were so poor. St Nicholas secretly throws down bags of gold coins through chimney to avoid being seen. This inspired the practice of gift giving at christmas and has continued till this day.

Santa (Saint) Claus' (Nicholas) gift giving has become the center of attractions during christmas.

NB: Christmas is all about Christ and not Claus, yet we should emulate that practice of gift giving.
