It is often tricky to pin down the problem with this country. You go to a public institution (a school, a ministry, a hospital, almost everywhere) and see people abandoning their duties, congregating to discuss the problem with Nigeria! They don't see how they create another problem in the process. You draw their attention to this and they accuse you of being disrespectful!

Different WhatsApp groups are filled with people who have stolen every naira passing through their desks but complaining how badly our country is doing. Corrupt people condemning corruption! Former presidents and former governors are lecturing us on how to develop Nigeria as if their minds were filled with bricks when they had the opportunity to do so. Comrades and activists lament the poor state of public sectors and services. But the moment they are brought into the system, they suddenly take a reverse position. They would tell you how the leader was trying, that the resources were scarce, bla bla bla. But they will never tell you how their fat allowances have made the resources scarce!

I know many of us who are okay to bypass every procedure, disrespect queues (in banks, filling stations, etc), disobey traffic regulations, bypass nepa meters, offer bribes, solicit for bribes, cheat at every opportunity, dismiss due process as "mere formalities," etc. But they are still bitterly unhappy about the Nigerian situation.

We perpetuate problems when we benefit from them. We condemn them when they don't favour us! I see many Nigerian problems lamenting Nigerian problems!

These problems are not abstractions. We live them. We suffer from them. We create them. We benefit from them. Perhaps we are the problem. Perhaps! Just a possibility.

Join us to save and rebuild Niger State

If you are not part of the solution, than you must be part of the problem

We must put an end to the belief that our generation cannot see a new Niger when all the tools required for the job remains firmly within our reach. We have the people, we have the will, and we have the resources to rebuild new Niger State

Now the 2023 general election is approaching, our youth should guard against the antics of money bag politicians who believe that money can buy anything hence might want to recruit them for political thuggery and other related violence.

I cautioned youth against being used as tools in the hands of discredited politicians for political violence. I advised the youth to realize that money was not everything, peace is worth more than money because without peace nothing would be possible not even the liberty to practice one's religious belief. I charged the youth to re-orient themselves on their code of conduct which forms the basis for various associations, union and other pressure groups. I equally called on youths to stand on the side of Truth no matter how bitter it is and support peaceful and responsible politicians in the interest of humanity. I believe youth the world over are know to be agents of Change, so our youth should take cue from their counterparts in the developed countries by pursuing and championing issue that would attempt to bring positive change for the betterment of all our people in the state

Remember if you are not part of the solution, then you must be part of the problem...

Niger State at wrestling arena like borno at war front.

I can barely remember the fume. For its strangeness, a sort of weird, controversial and unwelcoming idea of a common Nigeria politician it seems to many but a few of us who are easily moved by goodness and who are stern to what it is in earnest without fear or favor.

They called it ‘ official recklessness' but we called it ‘taking full responsibility'. “ A leader should be mindful of where to go, " they said. It turned to be a popular sentiment. Some of us kept quiet to escape meeting their Waterloo from the heretics. By our conviction, we took the bull by the horn though.

Today, we can effortless argue and convince anyone beyond reasonable doubt that it is better ( for a leader) to be at war front than to be at wrestling arena.

That singular act saved borno, when borno is celebrating, Niger State is lamenting. Niger State is not only disappointed but environs of borno today.

Let us win this once and all, our leaders need our prayers more I cannot just believe they forget their responsibility by choosing not to understand and feel our pain.

Oh! Allah have mercy on us. and, may he guide our leaders right. Amiin thumma amiin.

Why facts still matter.

It is heartbreaking that some young people these days peddle lies and falsehood while contributing to state issue. Every day, I marvel at half-truths and absolute ignorance orchestrated by young Niger State who, ordinary should know better.

Today's youth is radical different. He is dangerous, ignorant and vulnerable. Their comes on social media and inflames passion with vengeful and hateful writing. Elaborate and eulogies their helpless boss whom mostly their villages are under suffering. Instead of telling them how to vitalise the Niger State at all.

Those who supports and defend people who abscond From debates are just hypocrites. They brazenly pander to double standards because this skewed system offers a hiding place for some questionable characters and others who are not interested in niger state upward journey. Once these freebooters have the long end of the stick. Everything is fair because they are at advantage. Ironically, these same pretenders who cannot employ a job seeker, even in their kitchen, without any efficient or competence test, boldly defend ignoble action of people who want the highest job without an interview.

It is already too late in the day to aim for the ideal but we must keep the fire burning. If returning Niger State to that path that leads to greatness means changing incompetent and haughty leaders every four years, so be it. After all, politics is everything and we cannot afford to leave it in the hands of inept and arrogant people who are under the illusion that they are born to rule. Enough is enough!
