Police strengthens officers across the country ahead of Presidential election tribunal judgement, warns mischief makers against making unguarded utterances…

In its bid to fortify security architecture and forestall any breakdown of law and order across the country as a result of the forthcoming Presidential Election Petition Tribunal Judgment scheduled to be passed on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, the Nigeria Police Force says it has strengthened its deployment across the length and breadth of Nigeria.

In a statement released by its spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police reassured Nigerians of its commitment to ensure the safety of lives and property before, during, and after the judgement.

‘’The NPF has diligently emplaced all necessary deployments and security measures during this critical period as officers and men are fully prepared to maintain order and enforce laws while respecting the rights and freedoms of all citizens.'' the statement read

The statement further adds that the police.

’strongly cautions all individuals, including mischief makers and political gladiators, to be cautious in their actions and statements as the Force will not condone activities capable of inciting violence or causing a descent into anarchy.

It is imperative for all citizens to embrace peace and maintain calm, regardless of their political affiliations, to ensure a peaceful and secure environment.''

The Nigeria Police Force says it is dedicated to its duty of protecting and serving the Nigerian people and is committed to carrying out these roles with professionalism, impartiality, and utmost dedication.

STANDARDS
1. Since you called for this then you'll have to come along with two michs and a speaker(sound system) because i want everyone to listen and weigh the bars.

2. You come along with two hip hop heads and I'll come along with two hip hop heads too and they will be the judges.(so that everything will be balanced)

I Joined Saudi Pro League To Write New Sporting History — Neymar

Former Paris Saint-Germain star, Neymar Jnr, has denied reports circulating in the media that he joined the Saudi Pro League, Al Hilal, because of money.

The Brazilian star claimed that his decision to transfer to the Middle East was driven more by his desire to "be a global player" than by financial considerations.

He said, “I have achieved a lot in Europe and enjoyed special times, but I have always wanted to be a global player and test myself with new challenges and opportunities in new places.

“I want to write new sporting history, and the Saudi Pro League has tremendous energy and quality players at the moment.”

Neymar joined Al Hilal on a two-year deal and will be earning £129.4 million per year.

Neymar has been widely accused of leaving Europe because of the eye-watering cash he has been offered in Saudi.

Neymar will link up with new teammates Kalidou Koulibaly, Rúben Neves, and Sergej Milinković-Savić, who all made the move to Al Hilal earlier this summer.

Al Hilal is one of four clubs -- along with Al Nassr, Al Ahli, and Al Ittihad that were taken under the ownership of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund in June as part of the country's "Sports Clubs Investment and Privatization Project."

Neymar has reportedly been offered a two-year contract expected to pay an annual salary of around $100 million. That would be around half of the reported salary Cristiano Ronaldo is being paid by Al Nassr.

Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was today the 10th August, 2023, visited by his soulmate and reliable friend, brother and dependable ally, in the person of Mazi Benjamin Madubugwu, at the facility of the State Security Service (SSS) Headquarters Abuja, where Onyendu is still being held in solitary confinement.

Mazi Benjamin, whose unsuccessful attempts at conducting this special visit, eventually yielded positive result today, was accompanied by my humble self during today’s all important visit.

Former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has pledged to support the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, to move the country forward, calling on other women to follow suit.

Jonathan gave the assurance on Wednesday during a solidarity visit to the First Lady at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

She thanked the First Lady for how far she had impacted the lives of Nigerian women.

She said it was imperative for her, as a former president’s wife, to also support and encourage Mrs. Tinubu on the things that would move the nation forward.

Mrs Jonathan commended women groups for their support for President Bola Tinubu and his wife and pleaded that they should maintain their support for the government to sustain the patriotic efforts.

“You are one of the women that I look up to because you can make Nigerian women proud. I am here to encourage and support you because we are one country and our country must move forward.

“Twenty-four hours, I am with you; call me anytime, any day, I will work with you for the country to move forward and to be better because it is our country. We have no other place to go.

“When we talk about the presidency, we have come and left, it is your turn, we that left must support you to achieve what you are here for like we have archived so that Nigeria will move forward.

“I use this opportunity to plead to the women of this country to support this government; she carried us along when she was a governor’s wife, and now that she is a First Lady, the sky is her limit.

The First Lady had earlier commended Mrs Jonathan for her support and advice.

“We thank God that she is here on a solidarity visit and for us to talk about how to move the nation forward. I appreciate her visit, her support, and all the tips she is always giving,’’ the First Lady said.

PHOTOS: Ex-NBA President, Akpata, Stranded Amid Students' Protest

The immediate past president of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olumide Akpata, was stranded in traffic caused by the National Association of Nigerian Students' protest at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Monday.

According to our correspondent, Akpata walked from the arrival point to the Hajj Camp, where his driver was waiting for him.
