Akwa Ibom Pastor Arrested With Drums Of Ill!cit Drug, Mkpurummiri

Operatives of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Sunday arrested one Akwa-Ibom pastor, Anietie Okon Effiong, with three drums of crystal methamphetamine locally known as mkpurummiri.

The drug is believed to have been imported from India.

According to the statement from the NDLEA, the consignment was intercepted during a stop-and-search operation along Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene highway on Saturday.

Each drum was packed with 30kg of crystal methamphetamine and was meant for Pastor Anietie Okon Effiong, who was arrested in a follow-up operation at Oron beach in Oron, Akwa Ibom State

Popular Nollywood actor, Nkem Owoh, aka Osuọfia has reportedly rejected a N10 Million offer to endorse Bola Tinubu, APC Presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.

According to sources, the Veteran Nollywood Actor said N10 Million cannot buy his endorsement as 2023 is critical for the collective good of all citizens and would NEVER be sold.

It was learnt that Osuofia was offered the usual 5 million Naira for endorsement of the candidate, but he refused. Even when the offer was doubled on account of his worth, he still refused.

According to him, not everybody is amenable to the persuasiveness of money.

PHOTOS: Teenager rescued from abusive guardians in Anambra

A 17- year-old boy identified as Chikamnanyo Olisaemeka, has been rescued from his abusive guardians by the Anambra State government.

The video of the teenager being abused had trended on social media resulting in the intervention of the Women and Social Welfare commissioner, Mrs Ify Obinabo.

Olisaemeka explained that his mother handed him over to his uncle in February but since then his life hasn’t been the same.

The guardians have been identified as Mr. Oluchukwu Olisaemeka and his wife, Ebere Olisaemeka.
