Breaking News: Appeal Court Upholds Tribunal Ruling, Declares Natasha As The Authentic Winner of Kogi Central Senator Elect

The appeal court in Abuja has upheld the judgment of the Kogi state election petition tribunal sacking Senator as a senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial district of the state.

OBSERVERSTIMES reports before now that The election petition tribunal sitting in Lokoja has declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as the winner of the February 25 Kogi Central Senatorial election.

Delivering the ruling today on Tuesday the court of appeal upheld the decision of the tribunal, declaring Natasha Akpoti as the legitimate representative of Kogi Central.

It held that the appeal of Sadiku-Ohere,challenging the judgment of the tribunal lacked merit.

Steps to access the student loan

The law officially known as A LAW TO PROVIDE EASY ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION FOR NIGERIANS THROUGH INTEREST FREE LOANS FROM NIGERIAN EDUCATION BANK ESTABLISHED was Sponsored by Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila

Students applying for loan under this Act must apply to the Chairman of the Bank through their respective institutions upon satisfaction of the following conditions:
1. Student must have secured admission into any public Nigerian
University, Polytechnic, College of Education or Technical College

2. Applicant income or family income must be less than N500,000 per annum.

3. Applicant must provide at least two civil servants as guarantors: of not less than level 12 years in service; or a Lawyer with at least 10 years post-call experience; a Judicial officer; or a Justice of Peace.

4. Students who have defaulted in previous loans; found guilty of exam malpractices, felony, drug offenses will not be considered. Students with parents who have defaulted in respect of previous loans will not be considered.

5. All Applications will be submitted through the Students Affairs Office of each Institution via a list of all qualified applicants from the institution accompanied by a cover letter signed by the Vice Chancellor or Rector or the head of the institution and the student affairs.

6. Any beneficiary of the loan to which this Act refers shall commence repayment two years after completion of the National Youth Service Corps programme. (Repayment shall be by direct deduction of 10% of the beneficiaries salary at source by the empioyer.

7. Where the beneficiary is self employed, he shall remit 10% of his total profit monthly to the Students loan account to be prescribed by the Bank.

PHOTOS: Man Undergoes Height Lengthening Surgery To Grow Taller

A man, Moses Gibson, from Minneapolis, Minnesota in the United States, has undergone a leg surgery to add five inches to his height after struggling to talk to women for years due to self-doubt about his stature.

Gibson said he had been insecure about his height since he was 15 years old, after witnessing other boys his age go through growth spurts that he did not, Daily Mail reports on Wednesday.

He tried medications and even contacted a 'spiritual healer' online who claimed to be able to help him in a desperate attempt to grow taller.

Gibson eventually decided to have surgery to increase his height after all other options failed.

Speaking of his struggles with his height, he said, “I've struggled with my height. Even when I was in high school, I was always unhappy with my height.

“When I was like 15, I realised most of my peers were taller than me. It started getting to me gradually.”

He learned about a procedure that could lengthen his legs, and he began working extra hours to save up enough money for the surgery during college.

After working as a software engineer during the day and as an Uber driver at night for three years, he underwent surgery to add three inches to his height in 2016, but seven years later has had a second round and is using a height lengthening device.

Doctors broke Gibson's tibia and fibula bones and inserted magnetic, limb-lengthening nails into them.

He must now use a height-lengthening device three times per day, pulling the cut bones apart one millimeter at a time.
