Research shows that at-least some musical education has a positive impact on social and cognitive development of children. And these effects are long lasting – better hearing, better motor skills, improved memory, better verbal and literacy skills.

MY SPECIAL INVITATION

This season has been one of the best in our lives as I have been enjoying fellowship with God for 3 hours every day. It's almost 90 days now.

As we were concluding this season, we received guidance to round up the remaining days in my hometown, MAKURDI BENUE STATE.

Therefore, I warmly extend this special invitation to anyone who can join us during this time.

We will be spending two days at the Treasure School of Music Studio in Makurdi
and
two days at the Benue People's House.

THE 'MUSIC MINISTERS' TEMPTATIONS'....
It's high time we stopped isolating or excusing ourselves, as Music Ministers, on issues of sin and immorality, especially with that 'Lucifer was a musician' theory.
We are first Christians before we are Musicians/Gospel Artistes/Ministers.
Every believer or church worker;Ushers, Greeters,Sanctuary Keepers etc, faces temptations.(1Cor10:13...there is no temptation at you that is uncommon to man).
The Music Ministers' faults however appear amplified because;

1.Music as a ministry, is also a stage art, so musicians/choristers are constantly in the spotlight and eyes of the people, compared to other church workers, their faults are also more visible, but in all, we are accountable to God who sees even 'off-stage'.

2.Most Church Choirs are made up of predominantly young people. We therefore should flee youthful lusts(2Tim2:22),like every other young person.

3.Choirs also spend a lot of time together, in close contact e.g at Rehearsals, leaving room for some relationships to go emotional, intimate and immoral, if unchecked.

4.Music appeals to the soul, aside edifying the spirit, hence people (fans, audience, congregants) can easily get emotional feelings for a musician, which should also be put in check, especially with scripture-based ethics, principles and standards.

The Music Minister, therefore, must deliberately build his/her walk with God, and live right by grace, disciplining themselves like every other believer, not being ignorant of Satan's tricks and lies, including this one of 'special temptation' or 'musical spirit of immorality'.
