EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF BENUE STATE,

HIS EXCELLENCY,
DR. SAMUEL ORTOM.

A CALL TO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF BENUE STATE AND REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION IN THE COMMUNAL CRISIS BETWEEN THE PEOPLE OF MBAIVUR AND MBASOMBO IN GWER –EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF BENUE STATE.
I wish to draw the attention of the Executive Governor of Benue State Dr. Samuel Ortom concerning the persistent and insistently crisis that has caused a lot of destruction of lives and properties between the two communities as mentioned on the subject matter above.
Your Excellency Sir, I must say this to you; and in other for you not to take it too personal, but as a way of correcting your mistake as a human being in constant need of counsel and advice. This, Your Excellency, would have been averted if proactive measures were taken to curb this ugly menace. Prevention, they say is better than cure. It is very unfortunate, that despite a lot of efforts and synergy by the government to ensure that both communities settled themselves amicably to foster harmony and tranquility prove void and nulled ; this issue of disagreement between the two communities on just a piece of land has led to not only destruction of lives and properties, but has also escalated to the extent of contributing to the economic hardship of the people from both sides.

Your Excellency, you have not really done well in this regard. I say this, because you have made a decision by allowing the two communities to wrestle and wreak havoc for over three months to the State without your intervention; the communal crisis has damaged a lot of properties worth more than hundreds of millions in the two communities including state properties ,which you are working so hard to build with the framework of your Urbanization policies. I strongly think that your political and special advisers would have really saved the situation. Many of the affected children are finding it difficult to resume back to school; the people cannot

Nigerian Coronavirus patient 'savagely bites a nurse's face in China as she tried to stop him running away from quarantine' (Photos/Video)
A Nigerian Coronavirus patient has been detained in China for allegedly attacking and biting a Chinese nurse as he attempted to escape from isolation.

The man identified as Okonkwonwoye Chika Patrick, 47, reportedly beat up the nurse after she stopped him from leaving his quarantine ward at a hospital in Guangzhou on Wednesday, April 1.

Mr. Okonkwonwoye had been receiving treatment at the Guangzhou Eighth People’s Hospital since March 23 after he tested positive for the coronavirus following his arrival in Guangzhou city of southern China from abroad on March 20.

On the day of the alleged incident, the nurse named Ms. Wang was said to have approached Mr. Okonkwonwoye to take a blood test, but he reportedly ignored her and attempted to walk out of his quarantine ward.

The Chinese nurse was pushed to the ground and bitten on the face when she tried to stop the Nigerian citizen from leaving, according to a police statement.

Ms. Wang is said to have suffered multiple injuries to her face, neck, and waist.

Shocking footage also showed the nurse bursting into tears as her swollen face is covered with bruises after the said incident.

Authorities also stated the detained patient who is receiving his anti-virus treatment is under quarantine with police supervision, and will be prosecuted accordingly to Chinese laws after recovery.

The Guangzhou police said they have been investigating the incident and will ‘immediately carry out prosecution once the treatment is finished.’

‘At the moment, the patient still tests positive,’ the police statement read. ‘The hospital has strengthened its security.
