So, after I picked my kids up from school today and was headed home I quickly made a stop at a POS stand by the road side. I met two guys there whom I know, we greeted and I quickly handed the attendant My card for withdrawal but the network was so bad that the transaction was declined.

She asked me to wait so she could ask her second in another location though close by and with a different machine to come handle the transaction. While I was waiting we got talking and one of the guys asked me about work. Although I have been off work for a while now I just said fine and the second guy asked what ministry I was working under and I said not with the government but a NGO. Yeah, cause my last work place was there.
He happily said "na Dem the even pay pass" I just smiled. He then mentioned how years ago one organization made a way with his cousin's 560k in order to help her japa.

I told him that anything about Japa is risky, it's better to research and do the application and everything else yourself to avoid stories that touch. Because, most of the time the average man ends up in premium tears. Then the second girl came with her POS machine and I tried again but the network was bad so the transaction was all declined. I was yet to collect my card when the asked the second girl where her spot was at her location.

She tried describing and it happened to be the same spot where one guy he knew use to stay and operate POS business but left after he lost his money. The first now said "na Ben (not his real name) do himself nau him brother been wanting give am work him say make them give him wife now wet him no get anything him wife the show am pepper. Even food the had am to see chop" I didn't say anything because I know this person and after he hit the rock bottom he got a security guard job. Though, I know the pay may not be as good as what he earning from his business. However, half bread is better than Puff puff 😂

Just when I was about to leave the second guy said no wonder his boss got two employment slots but to help others rather than his wife. Because his boss feels that if the wife starts earning and becomes financially independent there is a high chance of her quitting the marriage and he doesn't want to lose his wife😂. I just smiled and said my goodbyes.

As I got into my car to go home I thought to myself. If this man loves his wife like he claims and also treats her well. Then why is he scared of the wife getting a job and becoming financially free? I tell you for free that, "most men who are like the man mentioned above do not treat their wives well and also the fact that their wives are penny less gives them joy to disrespect and serve her all the nasty behavior because they feel she has no where to go"
But one thing they fail to understand is, there's a limit to what a person can take. Some left with nothing but today they are good.

Moral lesson: Treat your spouses right.

I love my alone time after my kids have gone to bed however, I often regret it by morning. Especially now that school has resumed and I have to be up early to get them ready.

My childhood was enriched by your presence, marked by your kindness and generosity. I recall our final conversation at the hospital, where you promised to bring us the latest kids' movie, a promise unfulfilled due to your untimely passing.

Your residence was a haven for me during holidays, filled with warmth and hospitality. Your devotion to family and willingness to assist those in need was evident. I have benefited greatly from your legacy, particularly during my academic pursuits. The last instance was during my clearance, where my surname expedited the process.
